Abstract

The invention relates to a composition which serves as a lubricant, in the form of lubricating grease and/or corrosion inhibitor, and which contains a portion, of at least 50% by volume, of an oil product, especially a lubricating oil product, with at least the major part of the remaining portion consisting of a viscosity- increasing mixture. The said viscosity-increasing mixture consists, at least chiefly, of tallow and zinc-white, and with the proportion of tallow being chosen to exceed the proportion of zinc-white. In addition, a method is described for preparing such a composition.
