Abstract

Disclosed herein is a press apparatus applying to press a press-fit element at its corresponding pressed positions of a circuit board, pins of the press-fit element are pressed into corresponding holes of the pressed positions so that the press-fit element and the circuit board are electrically connected. The press apparatus comprises a pressing platform, a supporting board which can slides horizontally disposed on top of the pressing platform; and a shim plate fixed on one side of the supporting board, thereby positioning the circuit board by the supporting board and the shim plate. A pressing device installed above the shim plate is composed of a pressing head movable vertically to press the press-fit element; and a display circuit displaying indications to remind operators when the pressed position is located in position corresponding to the pressing head. During operation, pins of each press-fit element are respectively inserted into the corresponding holes of the pressed position, and then the supporting board is shifted. When the display circuit indicates that the pressed position is located right under the pressing head, the pressing head is activated immediately to start pressing down. The present press-fit apparatus is easy to be operated to increase efficiency.
