Abstract

A method for encrypting one time password (OTP) is executed by a server end, the method comprising: (A) transmitting multiple key combinations and corresponding index values to a client end, the multiple key combinations comprising a first key combination corresponding to a first index value; (B) receiving a transaction request from the client end; (C) generating a one time password; (D) encrypting the one time password and the first key combination to form a first ciphertext; (E) transmitting the first ciphertext and the first index value to the client end, allowing the client end to correspond the first index value to the first key combination to decrypt the first ciphertext to obtain a first decrypted text; (F) receiving the first decrypted text from the client end; (G) determining whether the first decrypted text and the one time password are matched; and (H) when they are matched, performing the transaction.
