Description
"Soother and systems used for fastening
This new invention concerns a new soother that would not get lost.
The soothers used normaly have the disadvantage that they can get lost during the sleep or when playing. This situation can give the parents a lot of problems particulary at night. If the child loses the soother during its sleep it will wake up and will cry until it has found it. When it happens several times during the night it can give a negative effect on the other members of the family. The people living together under one roof are working, studying, etc... and need their sleep and rest badly. When some one did not have his or her sleep or rest they will not be able to concentrate themselves at a certain level during the day. It will have an influence on their occupation. This soother will prevent that others will have to give up their sleep because the baby has lost the soother. This new soother will also contribute to an
improved hygienic situation. When an ordinary soother falls on the ground it is very difficult to clean it properly, particulary when you do not have the right cleaning solution. This can result in contamination with foreign materials (dust, hairs, etc.) and an increased risk of oral infections.
With this new designed soother we can eliminate the two most important disadvantages : - take away the rest or sleep from other members of the family
- decrease the risk of infections given by an ordinary soother
The solutions used these days, the use of a plastic chain with a safety-pin, are dangerous and they do not solve these problems. They can hurt the child
This new designed soother shown in fig 1 - 2 - 3 and 4 will solve all these problems. Identical references have been used for figures 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- FIG 1 is a side-view of the complete soother
- FIG 2 is a front view of the complete soother
- FIG 3 is a side-view of the complete soother equiped with an extra flexible joint.
- FIG 4 is a side-view of the nipple This new product is made up by a holder 1 and the nipple 2. The nipple 2 is secured in the holder 1
by means it can only be fitted in one direction. This makes it possible to replace the nipple 2 after a while and it will also prevent the child to swallow it. The holder 1 is made of a flexible material that will allow the child to turn its head. Use of different kind of materials will make it stable for use. This soother meets the requirements for safety and hygiene and will guarantee the suitability of this new product.
The use of this new soother is very easy and requires no special requisites. The holder 1 is fixed on the clothes by a fastening system. The position will depend on the age of the child. In proportion to the age the clothes will change and also the positions of the fastening system. The fastening can be done by buttons or any other way.
The holder 1 has one, two or more button-holes 5 or other fastening systems. The moment the holder 1 is fixed to the buttons on the clothes it will always come back to the neutral position. Other systems can also be used to fastenen the soother to the clothes of the child.
The holder 1 allows a flexibility so most of the movements will be possible. The moment the soother slips away it will go back to the neutral position. In the beginning the child will look for
the soother and will find it by turning its head.
After several times the child knows were to look for it and will take it automatically.
The holder 1 can be equiped with an extra flexible part 3 that will react better to the different movements. This will give an extra pressure or tractive power so an immediate and more flexible reaction will occur.
The protection disk 4 is just as with a normal soother a way to prevent the baby to swallow the nipple 2 and a way to develop a better set of teeth.
The nipple 2 itself is provided with a groove 6 so it can be secured in the holder 1 . With the safety ring 7 it is only possible to remove the soother in just one direction.
This nipple 2 together with the holder 1 will give all members of a family a night's rest including for the baby. If the child starts crying now something is wrong and it needs some attention.
With this new soother it is not necessary anymore to get up every hour to look for the soother.
Also when the child is playing or walking it is a usefull product to prevent it from all kind of infections. When the soother falls on the ground it is not cleaned good enough and will give the child infections.
This new model has a lot of advantages: - it does not get lost
- a decrease in infections because it stays clean
- it gives a good night's rest
There are several variants of this new soother :
- a model in two parts : holder 1 and nipple 2
- a model where holder 1 and nipple 2 are one
- a model on which the ordinary soother can be attached to the holder 1 by means of a clip or holdfast.
- access to bring in medicines, vitamines, etc. in the nipple 2 . In this model a cap is used to seal the nipple 2.
