背景技術
近年、 ハー ドディ スク ドライバ (以下、 「 H D D」 と呼 ぶ) の高記憶容量化およびアクセス時間の短縮に伴い、 H D Dの駆動用スピン ドルモータには、 それに対応した高い 回転速度、 高い回転精度が要求されるようになってきてい る。 従来、 この回転装置における摺動部には、 たとえば軸 受部にはボールベア リ ングが用いられてきた。 しかしなが ら、 焼付、 摩耗等の問題により、 従来のボールベア リ ング を使用する限りにおいては、 l O O O O r . p . m . 程度 が耐え得る上限の回転速度であった。
このような高い回転速度と高い回転精度が要求される精 密モータをさ らに高速度で回転させるために、 S i C、 S ϊ 3 N 4 等のセラ ミ ッ クスからなる空気軸受 (動圧気体軸 受) を回転摺動部に用いるこ とが提案されている。 この空 気軸受を用いる回転装置においては、 回転体が回転される と、 少な く ともラジアル軸受体またはスラス ト軸受体と回 転体との間のク リアラ ンスへ溝を介して空気が強制的に導 入される。 これにより、 そのク リアラ ンス内の空気圧が高 められ、 各部材間に設けられた空気軸受を介して回転体が 高速度で回転される。 このようにして、 高速回転を実現す るために、 空気軸受を用いて高速回転中の回転精度が維持 され、 回転体に加わるスラス ト方向の負荷荷重が空気軸受 によって支持される。 また、 上記のラジアル軸受体と回転 体はそれぞれセラ ミ ッ クス材料によって形成されているた め、 回転体の起動停止時における低速域での各部材間の摺 動に耐え得る。
しかしながら、 従来の S i 3 N 4 等のセラ ミ ッ クスによ つて形成されたラジアル軸受体を 5 0 0 0 r . p . m . を 越える高速回転で用いると、 軸受部材同士の接触による衝 撃を伴った叩き摩耗現象が発生する。 すなわち、 高速回転 時において突発的なラジアル方向の衝撃力が回転体に加わ ると、 高速域で各部材間の摺動が引き起こされる。 従来の セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体はその高速摺動に耐えるこ とが困難で あった。 したがって、 上述のようにラジアル軸受体または スラス ト軸受体をセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体からなる空気軸受体 で構成したとしても、 高速回転時の回転精度が維持され、 回転体に加わるスラス ト方向の負荷荷重が支持されるが、 高速回転時に回転体に突発的に加わるラジアル方向の衝撃 力を支持するこ とは困難であった。
また、 上記の空気軸受体をセラ ミ ッ クス材料から形成す る場合、 セラ ミ ッ クス部材に高い加工 · 組立精度を要求し、 製造コス トの上昇を招く という問題がある。 さ らに、 空気 軸受は埃の浸入を嫌うため、 清浄な環境下で使用される必 要がある。 このこ とから、 空気軸受は密閉容器に収納され た形態で用いられるなど、 空気軸受に伴う構造が複雑にな り、 収納空間が大き く なる等の欠点がある。 このよう な問 題点を解消するために、 セラ ミ ッ クスによって形成された ブッ シュタイプの滑り軸受体を高速回転用の軸受体と して 用いるこ とが考えられる。
第 1 1 図は、 従来のセラ ミ ッ クスによって形成されたブ ッ シュタイプの滑り軸受体の概略構造を示す縦断面図であ る。 このブッ シュタイプの滑り軸受体は、 2つのスラス ト 滑り軸受体 8 1 , 8 2 と、 一対のラジアル滑り軸受体およ び回転体 8 3, 8 4 とから構成される。 このよ う に構成さ れるブッ シュタイプの滑り軸受体は、 起動停止時における 低速域での各部材間の摺動には耐え得る。 しかしながら、 上述のセラ ミ ッ クス製の空気軸受体と同様に、 5 0 0 0 r . P . m . を越える高速回転に伴う摺動においては、 軸受部 材同士の接触による衝撃を伴った叩き摩耗現象が発生する。 そのため、 従来のブッ シュタイプの滑り軸受体はその摺動 に耐えるこ とが困難であり、 摺動面が荒れるこ とにより、 摩擦抵抗が増加するという欠点があった。 特に、 スラス ト 方向の荷重に対しては、 この傾向が顕著である。 同一の負 荷荷重で比較する と、 スラス ト方向の摩擦抵抗はラジアル 方向の摩擦抵抗に比べて 5〜 1 0倍大きい。 したがって、 高速回転用の軸受体と してセラ ミ ッ クス製のブッ シュタイ プの滑り軸受体を用いたと しても、 回転中の突発的なラジ アル方向の衝撃力を支持するこ とが困難であるだけでなく、 回転体に加わるスラス ト方向の負荷荷重をも支持するこ と が困難である という問題点があつた。
本願発明者らはこのような問題点を解決するために特願 平 3 - 2 9 8 8 4 1 号に記載の複合軸受構造を発明した。 しかしながら、 本願発明者らによれば、 上記の複合軸受構 造において外部からの衝撃や振動等に対してスラス ト方向 の回転精度を維持するこ とが困難であるこ とが判明した。 たとえば、 高速回転中に軸受部材を含む構造体に外部から 衝撃が加わると、 軸線方向にロ ー夕が振動し、 その収斂時 間が長く なる という問題が発生した。
そこで、 この発明は上記の問題点を解決するためになさ れたもので、 高速回転に耐えるこ とができるとともに、 高 い回転精度を維持するこ とが可能な軸受体の構造を提供す るこ とを目的とする。
発明の開示
この発明に従った複合軸受構造は、 所定の負荷を有し、 高速度で回転する回転体を支持するものであって、 第 1 の 軸受手段と、 第 2の軸受手段と、 第 3の軸受手段とを備え る。 第 1 の軸受手段は、 回転中に回転体に加わるラジアル 方向の衝撃力を支持するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含む。 第 2 の軸受手段は、 回転体に加わる軸線方向の負荷荷重を回転 体と所定の間隙を保った状態で支持する。 第 3の軸受手段 は、 回転体のラジアル方向の回転精度を維持する。 さ らに、 第 4 の軸受手段は、 回転体のスラス ド方向の回転精度を維 持する。
この発明においては、 高速度で回転する回転体に突発的 なラジアル方向の衝撃力が加わったと しても、 第 1 の軸受 手段を構成するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体がその衝撃力を支持し、 高速域での摺動に耐え得る。 また、 回転体に加わる軸線 (スラス ト) 方向の負荷荷重は、 回転体との間でク リアラ ンスを保った状態で第 2の軸受手段によって支持される。 そのため、 回転体が高速度で回転しても、 スラス ト方向の 荷重に対して生ずる摩擦抵抗が増加する割合が低減され得 る。 さ らに、 高速度で回転する回転体のラジアル方向の回 転精度は第 3の軸受手段によって維持される。 第 4の軸受 手段は、 外部から加えられる衝撃や振動等によって引き起 こされる回転体のスラス ト方向の移動を防止する。 このた め、 精密機械に要求される回転精度が長時間運転後におい ても維持され得る。
以上のように、 この発明によれば、 第 1 、 第 2、 第 3お よび第 4 の軸受手段が備えられているので、 高速回転中に おいて突発的な衝撃力によって摩耗現象が発生せず、 また 回転体に加わるスラス ト方向の荷重による摩擦抵抗の増加 が抑制され、 さ らに長時間の回転においても回転精度が維 持され得る。 したがって、 この発明によれば、 高速度で回 転する回転体を高い回転精度で支持するのに適した複合軸 受体の構造が提供され得る。
この発明の好ま しい第 1 の局面によれば、 第 1 の軸受手 段を構成するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体は窒化ゲイ素系セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含む。 また、 この窒化ゲイ素系セラ ミ ッ クス 焼結体は、 長さ 3 0 m当たりの線密度が 3 5個以上であ る結晶粒子を含み、 その粒界相の体積率が 1 5体積%以下 である。 さ らに、 その窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体は、 最大径が 2 O ^ m以下の気孔を含み、 その気孔の含有率が 3 %以下 である。 このような窒化ケィ素系焼結体は、 少なく とも J I S 3点曲げ強度として 8 0 k g /mm 2 以上、 好ま しく は 1 0 0 k g /mm 2 以上、 破壊靭性値として 5 M P a · m 1 / 2 以上の機械的特性を有している。
また、 より好ま しく は、 長さ 3 0 /z m当たりの結晶粒子 の線密度を 5 0個以上に高めた焼結体においては、 J I S 3点曲げ強度が 1 4 0 k g/mm 2 以上に向上し、 軸受部 材と しての耐摩耗性、 耐衝撃強度が、 線密度 4 0個レベル の焼結体の 2倍以上に向上する。
この発明の好ま しい第 1 の局面においては、 第 1 の軸受 手段を構成する窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体は、 一定値以上の線 密度を有する結晶粒子を含み、 粒界相の体積率が一定値以 下に抑えられており、 また気孔率が一定値以下に抑えられ ている。 そのため、 微細な結晶粒を備えた窒化ゲイ素系の 焼結体から軸受部材が構成される。 その結果、 結晶粒子の 脱落等によって、 軸受部材を構成する窒化ケィ素系焼結体 の表面が欠損するこ とな く、 耐チッ ビング性にも優れる。 このように上記の窒化ゲイ素系焼結体からなる軸受部材は、 叩き摩耗現象を伴った高速摺動に対しても優れた耐摩耗性 を備えている。 したがって、 高速回転中において回転体に 加わる突発的なラジアル方向の衝撃力が上記の窒化ゲイ素 系焼結体によって支持され、 そのとき引き起こされる高速 摺動に対しても上記の窒化ゲイ素系焼結体は優れた耐摩耗 性を示す。
この発明の好ま しい第 2の局面においては、 第 2の軸受 手段は、 回転体の回転によって発生する気体圧により負荷 荷重を支持する動圧気体軸受手段を含む。 また、 第 2 の軸 受手段は、 磁気の吸引力または反発力を利用して負荷荷重 を支持する磁気軸受手段を含む。 これらの動圧気体軸受手 段と磁気軸受手段は、 それぞれ、 回転体とともに回転する 回転部材と、 回転部材に軸線方向に間隙を保って対向する 固定部材とを含む。 動圧気体軸受手段においては、 回転部 材と固定部材はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含み、 回転部材およ び固定部材のいずれか一方には、 気体圧が発生するように 間隙に気体を導入する溝が形成されている。 磁気軸受手段 においては、 回転部材と固定部材は間隙に磁気の吸引力ま たは反発力を発生させる磁石を含む。
この発明の第 2の局面においては、 軸受体の摩擦抵抗の 増大に最も大き く寄与するスラス ト方向の荷重が、 動圧気 体軸受手段によって、 溝から間隙に導入された気体の圧力 を用いて支持または軽減され得る。 あるいは、 そのスラス ト方向の荷重が、 磁気軸受手段によって、 磁石の反発力ま たは引力を用いて支持または軽減され得る。 これにより、 回転速度の増加に対して駆動 トルクの上昇が極めて小さ く 抑えられ得る。 特に第 2の軸受手段を磁気軸受手段によつ て構成すると、 動圧気体軸受手段に比べて、 回転速度の増 加に対する駆動 トルクの上昇がより小さ く抑えられる。
この発明の好ま しい第 3の局面によれば、 第 3の軸受手 段は、 回転体と所定の間隙を保った状態で回転精度を維持 するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含む。 この場合、 その間隙をで きるだけ狭めるこ とにより、 回転精度を向上させるこ とが 原理的に可能となる。
また、 この発明のより好ま しい第 3の局面によれば、 第 3の軸受手段は、 回転体の回転によって発生する気体圧に より回転精度を維持する動圧気体軸受手段を含む。 その動 圧気体軸受手段は、 回転体とともに回転する回転部材と、 その回転部材にラジアル方向に間隙を保って対向する固定 部材とを含む。 回転部材と固定部材はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体 を含み、 回転部材および固定部材のいずれか一方には、 気 体圧が発生するように間隙に気体を導入する溝が形成され ている。 このように第 3の軸受手段と して動圧気体軸受手 段を用いる場合には、 回転部材と固定部材との間の間隙
(ク リ アラ ンス) を比較的大き く しても、 長時間の高速回 転において回転精度が高い精度で維持され得る。 さ らに、 この発明のより好ま しい第 3の局面においては、 第 3の軸受手段は、 回転体と所定の間隙を保った状態で磁 気の吸引力または反発力を利用して回転精度を維持する磁 気軸受手段を含む。 その磁気軸受手段は、 回転体とともに 回転する回転部材と、 その回転部材にラジアル方向に間隙 を保って対向する固定部材とを含む。 回転部材と固定部材 は間隙に磁気の吸引力または反発力を発生させる磁石を含 む。 回転部材と固定部材はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体からなり、 磁石はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体の内部に埋込まれている。 この ように第 3の軸受手段として磁気軸受手段を用いた場合に おいても、 回転部材と固定部材との間のク リアラ ンスを比 較的大き く した状態で高速回転を長時間続けたとしても、 回転精度が高い精度で維持され得る。
この発明のより好ま しい第 4 の局面においては、 第 4の 軸受手段は、 回転体とともに回転する回転部材とその回転 部材に軸線方向に対向する固定部材とによって半密閉状態 で閉じ込められた気体溜ま り部を含む。 軸受内部のラジア ル方向のク リアラ ンスを通じて空気の出入りが円滑に行な われない場合、 外部からの衝撃や振動によって気体溜ま り 部内の圧力が変動する。 この場合、 たとえ外部からの衝撃 や振動によって回転体がスラス ト方向に移動しょう と して も、 気体溜ま り部内の圧力変動が回転体のスラス ト方向の 移動を抑制する方向に働く。 これにより、 回転体のスラス ト方向の移動が抑制される。 その結果、 従来に比べて、 回 転体のスラス ト方向の移動量、 回転体のスラス ト方向への 振動幅、 その収斂時間が小さ く なり、 スラス ト方向の回転 精度が向上する。
こ こで、 半密閉状態について説明する。 気体溜ま り部内 の空気は、 軸受内のク リアラ ンスを通じて供給または排出 されるこ とができる。 しかしながら、 軸受内のラジアル方 向のク リアラ ンスが小さ く なるにつれて、 円滑な空気の供 給や排出ができなく なる。 そのため、 外部から加えられる 衝撃や振動に応じて回転体がスラス ト方向に移動しょう と しても、 空気の供給や排出が追随せず、 気体溜ま り部内の 圧力が変化する。 このような状態の気体溜ま り部を半密閉 状態で閉じ込められた気体溜ま り部と称する。 上記の現象 は軸受内のラジアル方向のク リアラ ンスが 5 0 m程度か ら顕著に現れ始める。 H D D等の回転装置に用いられる軸 受は 2 0 z m以下のク リアラ ンスを有する。 したがって、 上記の現象に基づいた効果は、 H D D等の駆動用モータの 軸受に十分実用され得る。
また、 気体溜ま り部を閉じ込めるための回転部材は、 第 1 と第 2 の回転部分を含む。 第 1 の回転部分は、 固定部材 にラジアル方向に間隙を保って対向する。 第 2の回転部分 は、 固定部材に軸線方向に気体溜ま り部を介在させて対向 し、 第 1 の回転部分に固着されている。 第 2 または第 3の 軸受手段が動圧気体軸受手段によって構成される場合には、 第 2 の回転部分は孔を有する。 動圧気体軸受手段によって 所定の間隙に導入された気体は、 第 2の回転部分に開けら れた孔を通じて排出される。 この場合、 気体溜ま り部内の 圧力と、 第 2の回転部分の孔から排出される空気によって 発生する推進力とが釣り合う位置で回転体が保持される。 このとき、 第 2の回転部分の孔の直径は、 気体溜ま り部内 の圧力変動が起こる程度に小さ くする必要がある。 そうす るこ とにより、 回転体に外部から衝撃や振動等が加えられ、 回転体がスラス ト方向に移動しょう と しても、 軸受内での 空気の出入りが円滑に行なわれない。 そのため、 気体溜ま り部内の圧力が変動し、 その内圧を元に戻そう とする方向 に力が働く。 その結果、 回転体がスラス ト方向に元の位置 に押し戻される。
以上説明したように、 この発明によれば、 高速度で回転 する回転体を支持するのに適し、 耐衝撃性、 耐振性に優れ た種々の複合軸受体の構造が提供され得る。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
この発明に従った複合軸受体の種々の構造例は第 1 表に 示される。 第 1 表には、 ラジアル軸受手段 (第 1 と第 3 ) とスラ ス ト軸受手段 (第 2 ) の組合せと して A〜Fの構造 例が示されている。 各構造例は A〜Fに対応して第 1 図〜 第 6図にその概略的な構造が示されている。 以下、 第 1 表 と各図 (第 1 図〜第 6図) を参照して、 複合軸受体の構造 の実施例について順に説明する。

構造例 A
第 1 図は、 こ の発明の一実施例による複合軸受構造を概 略的に示す概念図である。 第 1 図に示すように、 複合軸受 構造は、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 と蓋 4 とを備 える。 蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 各部材 1 〜 3 は窒 化ゲイ素系のセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体からなる。 内輪 1 は所定 の軸の外周面を包囲するこ とができるように円筒形状を有 する。 内輪 1 の円筒面には複数の V字状のラジアル動圧発 生溝 5が形成されている。 下部スラス ト板 3 は内輪 1 の端 面に接触するように設けられる。 円筒形状の外輪 2 は、 内 輪 1 の円筒面と、 下部スラス ト板 3の内側面に対して所定 のク リ アラ ンスを有するように設けられる。 外輪 2 と下部 スラス ト板 3 とが互いに対向する面には複数の渦巻き状の スラス ト動圧発生溝 6が形成されている。 なお、 スラス ト 動圧発生溝 6 は外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 の両方に形成さ れているが、 いずれか一方に形成されていてもよい。 また、 蓋 4 には微小な空気抜き孔 1 0 1 が設けられている。 この 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 は、 回転時に動圧発生溝に沿って導入さ れた空気を逃がすためのものである。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた部分が、 半密閉状態で閉じ込められ た空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 となる。
上記のように構成された複合軸受体において、 外輪 2 と 蓋 4が回転体とともに回転するものと し、 内輪 1 と下部ス ラス ト板 3 とが所定の軸に固定されているものとする。 こ のとき、 回転体とともに外輪 2が回転すると、 ラジアル動 圧発生溝 5 とスラス ト動圧発生溝 6 に沿って空気が外輪 2 と内輪 1 との間、 外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 との間に導入 され、 それぞれの間のク リアラ ンスが一定に保たれる。 こ れにより、 空気軸受が構成される。 回転体とともに回転す る外輪 2は各ク リアランス内に発生する空気圧により、 内 輪 1 と下部スラス ト板 3 とに接触するこ となく、 高速度で 回転され得る。
構造例 Aによれば、 ラジアル軸受体とスラス ト軸受体の 両者がセラ ミ ッ クス空気軸受体から構成されている。 その ため、 ラジアル方向の回転精度はラジアル空気軸受体によ つて維持され、 スラス ト方向の荷重はスラス ト空気軸受体 によって支持される。 また、 それぞれの空気軸受体を構成 するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体が後述の窒化ゲイ素系焼結体によ つて形成されるこ とにより、 高速回転中の突発的なラジア ル方向の衝撃力がその窒化ケィ素系焼結体によって支持さ れる。
また、 高速回転中に外部から衝撃や振動等が加えられる と、 外輪 2 と蓋 4 とが上下に、 すなわちスラス ト方向に移 動しょう とする。 この外輪 2 と蓋 4 との上下方向の移動に 伴い、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 内の気圧が変動する。 これによ り、 外部の大気と空気溜ま り部 1 0 0内との圧力差によつ て、 外輪 2 と蓋 4 の移動方向と逆の方向へ力が働く。 その 結果、 高速回転中に外部から加えられた振動や衝撃等によ つて引き起こされる外輪 2 と蓋 4 のスラス ト方向の移動が 微小な変動となる。 すなわち、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0内の気 圧変動が、 外輪 2 と蓋 4 のスラス ト方向の移動を吸収する。 この場合、 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 は、 動圧発生溝にそって導入 された空気を逃がすために最小限必要な大きさを有する。 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 の大きさは、 外輪 2 と蓋 4 の上下動に空 気の出入りが追随できない程度に小さ く抑えるこ とが必要 である。
構造例 B
第 2 A図および第 2 B図は、 この発明の一実施例による 複合軸受構造を概略的に示す概念図である。 第 2 A図に示 すように、 複合軸受体は内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板
3 と蓋 4 とを備える。 各部材 1 〜 3 は主に窒化ゲイ素系の セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体からなる。 下部スラス ト板 3 は内輪 1 の端面に接触するように設けられている。 外輪 2は、 内輪 1 の円筒面と下部スラス ト板 3の内側面とに対して所定の ク リ アラ ンスを保つように設けられている。 この構造例の 場合、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 とが互いに対向する円筒面には、 そ れぞれ永久磁石?〜 1 0が設けられている。 また、 外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 とが対向する面には、 スラス ト動圧発 生溝 6が複数の渦巻き状の形で形成されている。 内輪 1 と 外輪 2 との間のク リ アラ ンスは、 それぞれの部材を構成す るセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体の間の第 1 のク リアラ ンスと、 永久 磁石 7 ( 9 ) と 8 ( 1 0 ) の間の第 2のク リアラ ンスとか ら構成される。 第 2 のク リ アラ ンスは第 1 のク リ アラ ンス より も大きい。
蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた空間が、 スラス ト方向の衝撃や振動等 を緩衝する空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 となる。 また、 蓋 4 には空 気抜き孔 1 0 1 が設けられている。 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 は、 スラス ト動圧発生溝に沿って導入された空気を逃がすのに 最小限必要な大きさを有する。 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 の大きさ は、 外輪 2 と蓋 4 の上下動に空気の出入りが追随できない 程度に小さ く 抑えられている。
上記のように構成された複合軸受体において、 回転体と ともに外輪 2が回転すると、 スラス ト動圧発生溝 6 に沿つ て空気が外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 との間に導入され、 そ の間のク リアラ ンスが一定に保たれて、 スラス ト空気軸受 体が構成される。 また、 ラジアル方向においては、 永久磁 石 7 ( 9 ) と 8 ( 1 0 ) との間で生じる反発力によって一 定のク リアラ ンスが保たれるこ とにより、 高速回転中にお ける回転精度が維持される。 このとき、 回転体にラジアル 方向の突発的な衝撃力が加わったと しても、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 とは永久磁石間で接触するこ とはなく、 高強度の窒化ケ ィ素系焼結体の間で接触する。 そのため、 高速回転に伴う 摺動において内輪 1 と外輪 2 との接触による衝撃を伴った 叩き摩耗現象が発生するこ とはない。
以上のように、 構造例 Bにおいてはラジアル方向の回転 精度が維持され、 スラス ト方向の荷重が支持されるだけで なく、 ラジアル方向とスラス ト方向の突発的な衝撃力に対 しても耐えるこ とが可能な複合軸受構造が提供される。 構造例 Bの別の夕ィプが第 2 B図に示される。 第 2 A図 ) に示される構造と異なる点は、 内輪 1 の内部に永久磁石 1 1 が埋込まれており、 外輪 2の外周円筒面側に永久磁石 8 , 1 0が設けられているこ とである。 この場合、 永久磁 石 8 ( 1 0 ) と 1 1 とは、 それぞれ内輪 1 と外輪 2を構成 するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を介して反発力を発生させる。 こ のとき、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 との間のク リアラ ンスは、 所定の 回転精度を維持するために必要な磁石間の反発力を考慮し て設定される。
構造例 C
第 3図は、 この発明の一実施例による複合軸受構造を概 略的に示す概念図である。 第 3図に示すように、 複合軸受 体は内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 と蓋 4 とを備える。 蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 蓋 4 は空気抜き孔 1 0 1 を有する。 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 は、 スラス ト動圧発生溝 6 に よって導入される空気を逃がすのに最小限必要な大きさを 有する。 各部材 1〜 3 は窒化ゲイ素系のセラ ミ ッ クス焼結 体からなる。 内輪 1 は所定の軸の外周面を包囲するこ とが できるように円筒形状を有する。 下部スラス ト板 3 は内輪
1 の端面に接触するように設けられる。 外輪 2 は、 下部ス ラス ト板 3 と内輪 1 のそれぞれに対して.所定のク リアラ ン スを保つように設けられる。 外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 と が対向する面には、 渦巻き状のスラス ト動圧発生溝 6が形 成されている。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 との間のク リアラ ンスは、 高速回転中において所定の回転精度を維持するこ とができ るように微小な値に設定される。
このようにして、 スラス ト方向の荷重は、 上記のように 構成される空気軸受体によって支持され、 ラジアル方向の 回転精度は内輪 1 と外輪 2 との間の微小なク リ アラ ンスに よって維持される。 また、 高速回転中の突発的なラジアル 方向の衝撃力は、 内輪 1 と外輪 2を構成する高強度の窒化 ゲイ素系セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体によって支持さ'れる。
さ らに、 高速回転中のスラス ト方向の衝撃や振動は、 内 輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 によって吸収される。
構造例 D
第 4図は、 この発明の一実施例による複合軸受体の構造 を概略的に示す概念図である。 第 4図に示すように、 複合 軸受体は内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 1 3 と蓋 4 とを 備える。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 は窒化ゲイ素系のセラ ミ ッ クス焼 結体から主に構成される。 内輪 1 は所定の軸の外周面を包 囲するこ とができるように円筒形状を有する。 内輪 1 の円 筒面には複数の V字状のラジアル動圧発生溝 5が形成され ている。 下部スラス ト板 1 3 は永久磁石からなる。 下部ス ラス ト板 1 3 に対向する外輪 2の面にはリ ング状の永久磁 石 1 2が設けられている。
蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 蓋 4 は空気抜き孔 1 0 1 を有する。 空気抜き孔 1 0 1 は、 ラジアル動圧発生溝 5 によって導入される空気を逃がすのに最小限必要な大きさ を有する。
このようにして構成される複合軸受体において、 回転体 とともに外輪 2が回転する と、 ラジアル動圧発生溝 5 に沿 つて空気が内輪 1 と外輪 2 との間に導入され、 その間のク リ アラ ンスが一定に保たれる。 これにより、 空気軸受体が 構成されるので、 ラジアル方向の回転精度が維持される。 また、 外輪 2 の永久磁石 1 2 と下部スラス ト板 (永久磁 石) 1 3 とが反発力を発生させるので、 所定のク リアラ ン スが外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 1 3 との間に保たれる。 これ により、 高速回転中におけるスラス ト荷重が支持される。 さ らに、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 は高強度の窒化ゲイ素系焼結体か ら構成されているので、 高速回転中において突発的な衝撃 力が加えられ、 内輪 1 が外輪 2に接触しても、 叩き摩耗現 象が発生するこ とはない。 それに加えて、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた空気溜ま り部 1 0 0の作用によ り、 高速回転中のスラス ト方向の衝撃や振動が吸収される。 以上のように、 構造例 Dによれば、 高速回転中において 回転精度が維持され、 スラス ト方向の荷重が支持されると ともに、 高速回転中における衝撃力に対しても耐えるこ と が可能な複合軸受体が提供される。
構造例 E
第 5 A図と第 5 B図は、 この発明の一実施例による複合 軸受体の構造を概略的に示す概念図である。 第 5 A図に示 すように、 複合軸受体は内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 3 と蓋 4 とを備える。 蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 各 部材 1 〜 3 は窒化ケィ素系のセラ ミ ッ ク ス焼結体から主に 構成されている。 構造例 B (第 2 A図) と異なる点は、 ス ラス ト方向の軸受体の構造である。 外輪 2 と下部スラス ト 板 3 とが対向する面には永久磁石 1 5 と 1 6が設けられて いる。 永久磁石 1 5 は、 内輪 1 の永久磁石 1 4 にも対向す るように設けられている。 このようにして、 スラス ト方向 の荷重も磁気軸受体によって支持されている。 この構造例
Eによれば、 ラジアル方向の回転精度が磁気軸受体によつ て維持され、 スラス ト方向の荷重が磁気軸受体によって支 持され、 ラジアル方向の衝撃力が高強度のセラ ミ ッ クス焼 結体によって支持される。 スラス ト方向の衝撃や振動は、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた空気溜ま り部 1 0 0の気圧変動に起因する抑制力によって吸収される。
第 5 B図は構造例 Eの別のタイプを示す。 構造例 B (第 2 B図) と異なる点は、 スラス ト方向の荷重が空気軸受体 によって支持されず、 磁気軸受体によって支持されるこ と である。 すなわち、 下部スラス ト板 3 の永久磁石 1 7 は、 外輪 2の永久磁石 1 0 に対向するように設けられている。
構造例 F
第 6図は、 この発明の一実施例による複合軸受体の構造 を概略的に示す概念図である。 第 6図に示すように、 複合 軸受体は内輪 1 と外輪 2 と下部スラス ト板 1 3 と蓋 4 とを 備える。 蓋 4 は外輪 2 に接着されている。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 は窒化ケィ素系のセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体から主に構成される。 内輪 1 は所定の軸の外周面を包囲するこ とができるように 円筒形状を有する。 下部スラス ト板 1 3 は内輪 1 の端面に 接触するように設けられる。 下部スラス ト板 1 3 は永久磁 石からなる。 下部スラス ト板 1 3 と対向する外輪 2の面に は永久磁石 1 2が設けられている。 内輪 1 と外輪 2 との間 のク リ アラ ンスは、 高速回転中において所定の回転精度を 維持することができるように微小な値に設定される。 この ようにして、 スラス ト方向の荷重が、 永久磁石 1 2 と下部 スラス ト板 (永久磁石) 1 3 とによって発生する反発力に よって支持されるとともに、 ラジアル方向の衝撃力は、 内 輪 1 と外輪 2を構成する高強度の窒化ゲイ素系焼結体によ つて支持される。 さ らに、 スラス ト方向の衝撃や振動は、 内輪 1 と外輪 2 と蓋 4 とによって囲まれた空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 の作用によって吸収される。
以上の構造例 A〜Fについてま とめると、 スラス ト方向 の荷重の支持構造に関しては、 構造例 A〜Cの空気軸受体 に比べて、 構造例 D〜Fの磁気軸受体の方が構造の簡略化 を図るこ とが可能である。 また、 スラス ト方向の荷重を空 気軸受体によって支持する場合には、 揚力を確保するため に一定面積が必要となる。 さ らに、 空気軸受体によれば、 一定回転数以上にならないと、 揚力が発生しないのに対し、 磁気軸受体によれば回転の開始から揚力を発生させるこ と ができる。

ラジアル方向の耐衝撃性に関しては、 すべての構造例が 満足し得る。 すべての構造例において、 高速回転中に衝撃 力が加えられ、 内輪と外輪が接触しても焼付く こ とはない。 特に高強度の窒化ケィ素系セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を使用した 場合には、 欠け、 チッ ビングが発生しないため、 良好な軸 受特性が維持され得る。
次に、 この発明の一実施例の複合軸受構造においてラジ アル方向の耐衝撃部材の材料として窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体 の製造方法について説明する。
平均粒径が 0. 3 z m、 粒度分布が 3 σ = 0. 2 0 // m、 結晶化率が 9 6. 5 %、 酸素量が 1 . 4重量%である S i 3 N4 の原料粉末を準備した。 この S i 3 4 の原料粉 末を 9 2重量%、 平均粒径が 0. の Y 2 03 粉末を
4重量%、 平均粒径が 0. 5 mの A l 2 03 粉末を 3重 量%、 平均粒径が 1 . 0 mの' A 1 Ν粉末を 1 重量%の割 合で、 エタノ ール中で 1 0 0時間ボールミ ルを用いて湿式 混合した。 その後、 乾燥して得られた混合粉末を 5 0 0 0 k g / c m 2 の圧力で C I P (冷間静水圧) 成形した。 得 られた成形体を 1 気圧の窒素ガス雰囲気下で温度 1 6 0 0 °Cにおいて 4時間保持した。 さ らに、 温度 1 7 5 0 °Cにお いて 6時間、 焼結処理を施すこ とによ り焼結体を得た。 そ の後、 この焼結体に温度 1 7 0 0 °Cにおいて 1 0 0 0気圧 の窒素ガス雰囲気中で 2時間の H I P (熱間静水圧) 処理

このようにして得られた窒化ケィ素系の焼結体において、 平均長軸粒径は 5 以下であり、 その結晶粒のァスぺク ト比は 4以上、 最大の長軸粒径は 1 5 m以下であった。 この焼結体は J I S 3点曲げ強度 8 0 k g Z m m 2 以上、 破壊靭性値 5 M P a · m 1 z 2 以上の機械的特性を有して いた。 得られた焼結体からテス ト ピースを切出し、 ァ厶ス ラー式摩耗試験に従って耐摩耗性を評価した。
第 7 A図は、 サンプルに加えられる荷重と回転速度の積 ( P · V ) と摩耗率との関係を示すグラフである。 第 7 A 図において各曲線 a〜 gは以下のサンプルによって得られ た測定結果を示す。

上記の製造方法によって得られた窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体 で、 長さ 3 0 mあたりの結晶粒子の線密度が 4 0個、 粒 界相の体積率が 8体積 、 気孔率が 0 . 0 5 %、 気孔の最 大径が 8 〃 mである もの。

上記の製造方法によって得られた窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体 で、 長さ 3 0 mあたりの結晶粒子の線密度が 3 0個、 粒 界相の体積率が 1 6体積%、 気孔率が 3 . 2 %、 気孔の最 大径力 2 2 〃 mである もの。

なお、 アムスラ一式摩耗試験は、 2個のリ ング状サンプ ル ( ø 1 6 m m X ø 3 0 m m x 8 mm) を互いの円周面力 正確に接触している状態で試験機の回転軸に固定し、 所定 の荷重を加え、 その回転軸を所定の回転数で駆動させるこ とにより、 約 1 0 0 0 0 0回転の摺動試験を行なった後、 2個の試料の重量の減少度合いを測定するこ とにより行な われた。
第 7 A図から明らかなように、 この発明に従った焼結体 は耐摩耗性に極めて優れている。 第 7 A図における P - V ( k g ■ m/ s ) の値を摺動面の単位面積当たりに換算す る と、 第 7 B図に示されるようになる。
以上のようにして作製された焼結体が、 たとえばハー ド ディ スク ドライバー用のスピン ドルモー夕の高速回転にお ける摺動にさ らされる場合について考えてみる。 1 枚のハ 一 ドディ スクの大きさは、 Φ 5 0〜 2 0 0 mm程度の円板 で厚み 2 mm程度である。 また、 ハー ドディ スクは、 複数 枚重ねて回転させられる場合がある。 そのようなハ ー ドデ イ スクの重量は約 2 0〜 1 0 0 0 g程度である。 したがつ て、 上記のハー ドディ スクを支持する軸受体の直径を 1 0 mmと し、 ハー ドディ スクの回転数を 2 0 0 0〜 5 0 0 0 O r . p . m. とすると、 その周速は 1 0 0〜 2 6 0 0 c mZ s となる。 このとき、 軸受面積を 3. 1 4 c m 2 とす ると、 P ' V ( k g c m * s ) の値は l 〜 8 2 8 k g Z c m ' s となる。 この範囲内の Ρ · νの値に対して、 第 7 Β図を参照してみる。 本発明の焼結体は 1 〜 6 0 0 k / c m · s の広範囲の P · Vの値に対して低い摩耗率を示し、 上記のハー ドディ スクの高速回転における摺動に対しては 十分耐えるこ とができる。
すなわち、 上記の例では、 高速回転中、 常に焼結体が摺 動している場合について考えている。 その場合においても、 本発明の焼結体は広範囲の P · Vの値に対して低い摩耗率 を示すので、 たとえ高速回転中において突発的な衝撃力が 加わり、 高速回転に伴う摺動が引き起こされても、 本発明 の焼結体はその摺動に十分耐え得る。
次に、 上述の構造例 F , Cの各場合についてスピン ドル モータを作製し、 高速回転中に衝撃が加えられた場合のス ラス ト方向の回転精度の変化を評価した。
第 8図は、 上記の評価に用いたスピン ドルモータの構成 を示す概略図である。
第 8図を参照して、 スピン ドルモー夕の軸受 2 0 1 の部 分に構造例 Fの軸受を取付ける。 ハブ 2 0 4 には軸受の回 転する部分が取付けられ、 取付基材 2 0 5 には軸受の固定 部分が取付けられる。 ハブ 2 0 4 に取付けられたロータマ グネッ ト 2 0 3力 取付基材 2 0 5 に設けられたモー夕コ ィル 2 0 2 に対向するように設けられている。
構造例 Fの軸受性能を評価するために、 第 9 A図、 第 9
B図、 第 9 C図に示される本実施例 (A ) 、 比較例 ( B ) ( C ) の 3種類の軸受がスピン ドルモータの軸受 2 0 1 の 部分に取付けられて評価試験が行なわれた。 評価試験は、 ノヽブ 2 0 4 を 3 0 , 0 0 0 r . p . m . で回転させながら、 外部から 0 . 3 N · mの衝撃を加えるこ とによって行なわ れた。 ハブ 2 0 4 の上面をレーザ変位計で計測するこ とに より、 ハブ 2 0 4 の上方への変位量が測定された。 また、 トルク変動に相当するモータ電流量の変動幅も測定された。 比較例 ( B ) においては、 第 9 B図に示すように、 軸受 の上方にスラス ト板 4 0が設けられ、 外輪 2 とスラス ト板
4 0 との間隙は 4 0 〃 mに設定された。 比較例 C (第 9 C 図) の構造では、 軸受の上方が開放された。 なお、 (A ) 〜 ( C ) の 3つの軸受構造において、 内輪 1 の外径は ø 1 O m m、 ラジアル方向のク リアラ ンスは 1 0 〃 mに設定さ れた。
上記の評価結果は第 2表に示されている。

本実施例 (A) の軸受構造においては、 外部からの衝撃 が加えられても、 ハブの上方への変位量は極めて小さ く、 トルク変動に相当するモー夕電流の変動幅もほとんど無視 し得る程度に小さかった。 一方、 比較例 ( B ) の軸受構造 においては、 ハブの上方への変位量はスラス ト板によって 抑えられるため、 4 0 tz mであった。 しかし、 外輪 2 とス ラス ト板 4 0 との接触により、 回転 トルクの変動が大き く なった。 比較例 ( C ) の軸受構造においては、 ハブの上方 への変位を抑える手段が設けられていないため、 1 5 0 〃 mと非常に大きな変位量が観測された。 以上の結果から、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0を設けるこ とにより、 外部からの衝撃 等の外乱に対して高い回転精度がスラス ト方向において維 持され得るこ とが判明した。
また、 本実施例 (A) の軸受構造において、 空気溜ま り 部 1 0 0 の高さ Lを 0. 5〜 5 mmと変化させて上記と同 様の衝撃試験が行なわれた。 その結果は第 3表に示される c 第 3表

第 3表の結果から明らかなように、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 の容積を小さ くするほど、 スラス ト方向の変位を抑制する 効果が大き く なるこ とがわかる。 これは、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 内の圧力変化の割合が空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 の容積が小 さレ、ほど大きいためと考えられる。
次に、 第 8図に示されるスピン ドルモー夕の軸受 2 0 1 の部分に構造例 Cの軸受か取付けられた。 構造例 Cの軸受 性能を評価するために、 第 1 0 A図、 第 1 0 B図、 第 1 0 C図に示される本実施例 (A ) 、 比較例 ( B ) ( C ) の 3 種類の軸受が取付けられた。 ハブ 2 0 4 を 2 0, 0 0 0 r . P . m . で回転させながら、 外部から 0 . 5 N ■ mの衝撃 を加えた。 このときに、 ハブ 2 0 4 の上面の上下量をレー ザ変位計で計測するこ とにより、 ハブ 2 0 4 の上方への変 位量が測定された。 同時に トルク変動に相当するモータ電 流量の変動幅も測定された。
比較例 ( B ) (第 1 0 B図) の軸受構造においては、 軸 受の上方にスラス ト板 4 0が設けられ、 2 0, 0 0 O r . P . m . で回転中の外輪 2 とスラス ト板 4 0 との間の間隙 が 5 0 z mに設定された。 比較例 ( B ) の軸受構造におい ては、 軸受の上方が開放された。 なお、 第 1 O A図、 第 1 0 B図、 第 1 0 C図の 3つの軸受構造において、 内輪 1 の 外径は 0 1 5 mm、 ラジアル方向のク リアラ ンスは 1 5 〃 mに設定された。 本実施例 (A) (第 1 O A図) の軸受構 造において、 蓋 4 には 0 0. 5 mmの空気抜き孔 1 0 1 が 設けられた。
上記の評価結果は第 4表に示される。

第 4表から明らかなように、 本実施例 (A) の軸受構造 においては、 外部から衝撃が加えられても、 ハブの上方へ の変位量は極めて小さ く、 トルク変動に相当するモータ電 流の変動幅もほとんど無視し得る程度に小さかった。 一方. 比較例 ( B ) の軸受構造においては、 ハブの上方への変位 量はスラス ト板によって抑えられるため、 5 0 〃 mであつ た。 しかし、 外輪 2 とスラス ト板 4 0 との接触により、 回 転 トルクに相当するモータ電流の変動が大きかった。 比較 例 ( C ) の軸受構造においては、 ハブの上方への変位を抑 える手段が設けられていないため、 1 8 0 〃 mと非常に大 きな変位量が観測された。
以上の結果から、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0を設けるこ とによ り、 外部からの衝撃等の外乱に対して高い回転精度がスラ ス ト方向において維持され得るこ とが判明した。
また、 本実施例 (A) (第 1 O A図) の軸受構造におい て、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 の高さ Lを 0 . 3〜 3 mmと変化 させて上記と同様の衝撃試験を行なった。 その結果は第 5 表に示される。

第 5表の結果から明らかなように、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 の容積を小さ くするほど、 ハブのスラス ト方向の変位を抑 制する効果が大き く なるこ とがわかる。 これは、 空気溜ま り部 1 0 0 内の圧力変化の割合が、 空気溜ま り部 i 0 0 の 容積が小さいほど大きいためと考えられる。
さ らに、 本実施例 (A) (第 1 O A図) の軸受構造にお いて、 蓋 4 に設けられる空気抜き孔 1 0 1 の直径 Dを 0 . 5 〜 5 mmと変化させて上記と同様の衝撃試験を行なった その結果は第 6表に示される。 なお、 この場合、 L = l m mと設定した

第 6表に示されるように、 比較例 ( C ) のように軸受の 上方を開放した場合と比べる と、 空気抜き孔の直径 ( D) が 5 m mの場合でも、 ハブの上方への変位量を抑制する効 果は現れている。 しかしながら、 ハブの上方への変位量を よ り小さ く抑制するためには、 好ま しく は空気抜き孔の直 径を、 スラス ト動圧発生溝に沿って導入される空気を逃が すために必要な最小限の大きさに抑えるのがよレ、。
なお、 本発明の複合軸受体の実施例として、 ハー ドディ スク ドライバーや光磁気ディ スク ドライバ一に用いられる スピン ドルモータの軸受体を示したが、 これに限定される こ とはない。 たとえば、 8 0 0 0 0〜 1 5 0 0 0 0 r . p . m. の高速度で回転する過給機用ター ビン軸受、 2 0 0 0 0〜 3 0 0 0 0 r . p . m. の高速度で回転するタービン- コ ンプレ ッサ用の軸受、 ロケッ トエンジン用ターボポンプ に用いられる高速回転用軸受、 C N C超精密旋盤, 円筒加 ェ用超精密旋盤, 超精密平面研削盤等の工作機械に用いら れる軸受等にも本発明の複合軸受体は適合され得る。 産業上の利用可能性
以上のように、 本発明の複合軸受構造は、 高速度で回転 する回転体を支持するのに適し、 耐衝撃性、 耐振性にすぐ れているので、 ハー ドディ スク ドライバーや光磁気デイ ス ク ドライ ノく一に用いられるス ピン ドルモ一夕の軸受体等に 適用可能である。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . 所定の負荷を有し、 高速度で回転する回転体を支持 する複合軸受構造であって、
回転中に前記回転体に加えられるラジアル方向の衝撃力 を支持するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含む第 1 の軸受手段 ( 1 ,
2 ) と、
前記回転体に加えられる軸線方向の負荷荷重を前記回転 体と所定の間隙を保った状態で支持する第 2の軸受手段と、 前記回転体のラジアル方向の回転精度を維持する第 3の 軸受手段と、
前記回転体のスラス ト方向の回転精度を維持する第 4 の 軸受手段と、
を備えた、 複合軸受構造。
2 . 前記セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体は、 窒化ゲイ素系セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体を含む、 請求項 1 に記載の複合軸受構造。
3 . 前記窒化ケィ素系セラ ミ ッ クス焼結体は、 長さ 3 0 mあたりの線密度が 3 5個以上である結晶粒子を含み、 その粒界相の体積率が 1 5体積%以下であり、 最大径が 2 0 ζ m以下の気孔を含み、 その気孔の含有率が 3 %以下で ある窒化ゲイ素系の焼結体を含む、 請求項 2 に記載の複合 軸受構造。
4 . 前記第 2の軸受手段は、 前記回転体の回転によって 発生する気体圧により前記負荷荷重を支持する動圧気体軸 受手段 ( 6 ) を含む、 請求項 1 に記載の複合軸受構造。
5. 前記動圧気体軸受手段は、 前記回転体とともに回転 する回転部材 ( 2 ) と、 その回転部材に軸線方向に前記間 隙を保って対向する固定部材 ( 3 ) とを含む、 請求項 4 に 記載の複合軸受構造。
6 . 前記回転部材と前記固定部材はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結体 を含み、 前記回転部材および前記固定部材のいずれか一方 には、 前記気体圧が発生するように前記間隙に気体を導入 する溝 ( 6 ) が形成されている、 請求項 5 に記載の複合軸 受構造。
7. 前記第 2の軸受手段は、 磁気の吸引力または反発力 を利用 して前記負荷荷重を支持する磁気軸受手段 ( 1 2 , 1 3 : 1 0 , 1 7 ; 1 5 , 1 6 ) を含む、 請求項 1 に記載 の複合軸受構造。
8 . 前記磁気軸受手段は、 前記回転体とともに回転する 回転部材 ( 2 ) と、 その回転部材に軸線方向に前記間隙を 保って対向する固定部材 ( 3 ; 1 3 ) とを含む、 請求項 7 に記載の複合軸受構造。
9 . 前記回転部材と前記固定部材は、 前記間隙に磁気の 吸引力または反発力を発生させる磁石 ( 1 2 , 1 3 : 1 0 ,
1 7 : 1 5 , 1 6 ) を含む、 請求項 8 に記載の複合軸受構 造。
1 0 . 前記第 3 の軸受手段は、 前記回転体と所定の間隙 を保った状態で前記回転精度を維持するセラ ミ ッ クス焼結 体を含む、 請求項 1 に記載の複合軸受構造。
1 1 . 前記第 3 の軸受手段は、 前記回転体の回転によつ て発生する気体圧により前記回転精度を維持する動圧気体 軸受手段 ( 5 ) を含む、 請求項 1 に記載の複合軸受構造。
1 2. 前記動圧気体軸受手段は、 前記回転体とともに回 転する回転部材 ( 2 , 4 ) と、 その回転部材にラジアル方 向に前記間隙を保って対向する固定部材 ( 1 ) とを含む、 請求項 1 1 に記載の複合軸受構造。
1 3. 前記回転部材と前記固定部材はセラ ミ ッ クス焼結 体を含み、 前記回転部材および前記固定部材のいずれか一 方には、 前記気体圧が発生するように前記間隙に気体を導 入する溝 ( 5 ) が形成されている、 請求項 1 2 に記載の複 合軸受構造。
1 4 . 前記第 3 の軸受手段は、 前記回転体と所定の間隙 を保った状態で磁気の吸引力または反発力を利用して前記 回転精度を維持する磁気軸受手段 ( 8 , 1 0 , 1 1 ; 7 ,
8 , 9 , 1 0 ; 7 , 8 , 1 4 , 1 5 ) を含む、 請求項 1 に 記載の複合軸受構造。
1 5. 前記磁気軸受手段は、 前記回転体とともに回転す る回転部材 ( 2 ) と、 その回転部材にラジアル方向に前記 間隙を保って対向する固定部材 ( 1 ) とを含む、 請求項 1
4 に記載の複合軸受構造。
1 6. 前記回転部材と前記固定部材は、 前記間隙に磁気 の吸引力または反発力を発生させる磁石 ( 8, 1 0 , 1 1 ; 7, 8 , 9, 1 0 ; 7 , 8 , 1 4 , 1 5 ) を含む、 請求 項 1 5 に記載の複合軸受構造。
1 7. 前記回転部材と前記固定部材は前記セラ ミ ッ クス 焼結体からなり、 前記磁石 ( 1 1 ) は前記セラ ミ ッ クス焼 結体の内部に埋込まれている、 請求項 1 6 に記載の複合軸 受構造。
1 8. 前記第 4 の軸受手段は、 前記回転体とともに回転 する回転部材 ( 4 ) とその回転部材に軸線方向に対向する 固定部材 ( 1 ) とによって半密閉状態で閉じ込められた気 体溜ま り部 ( 1 0 0 ) を含む、 請求項 1 に記載の複合軸受 構造。
1 9. 前記回転部材は、 前記固定部材 ( 1 ) にラ ジアル 方向に間隙を保って対向する第 1 の回転部分 ( 2 ) と、 前 記固定部材 ( 1 ) に軸線方向に前記気体溜ま り部 ( 1 0
0 ) を介在させて対向し、 前記第 1 の回転部分 ( 2 ) に固 着された第 2の回転部分 ( 4 ) とを含む、 請求項 1 8 に記 載の複合軸受構造。
2 0 . 前記第 2の軸受手段が、 前記回転体の回転によつ て前記所定の間隙に気体を導入し、 発生する気体圧により 前記負荷荷重を支持する動圧気体軸受手段 ( 6 ) を含むも のであり、
前記第 2 の回転部分 ( 4 ) は、 前記動圧気体軸受手段に よって前記所定の間隙に導入された気体を排出するための 孔 ( 1 0 1 ) を有する、 請求項 1 9 に記載の複合軸受構造。
2 1 . 前記第 3の軸受手段が、 前記回転体の回転によつ て前記所定の間隙に気体を導入し、 発生する気体圧によ り 前記回転精度を維持する動圧気体軸受手段 ( 5 ) を含むも のであり、
前記第 2の回転部分 ( 4 ) は、 前記動圧気体軸受手段に よって前記所定の間隙に導入された気体を排出するための 孔 ( 1 0 1 ) を有する、 請求項 1 9 に記載の複合軸受構造。
