本発明は、 耐酸化性に優れたフ ライ ト系ステンレス鋼に関し、 とくにス ト —ブの燃焼筒や自動車排ガス浄化装置、 電気発熱体などの材料として用いられ る、 いわゆる耐酸化性, 靱性および熱間加工性に優れた Fe— Cr一 A 1系フユライ トステンレス鐧に関するものである。 - 冃 京 技 '
一般に、 フヱライ ト系ステンレス鋼は、 自動車排ガス浄化装置やス トーブの 燃焼筒などのように耐酸化性が必要とされる用途に適した材料であることが知 られている。 しかしながら、 例えば、 最近の自動車排ガス浄化装置は、 使用板 材の厚みを薄くすることによって、 排気抵抗を減少させて、 エンジンベの負担 の軽減を図る対策がとられている。 また、 ス トーブの燃焼筒については、 燃焼 効率を上げるために、 使用温度を高くすると同時にコスト低減のために扳厚を 薄肉化する対策がとられている。 ところが、 これらの対策は、 いずれも薄肉化 を図ることであったから、 該ステンレス鋼の寿命を著しく低下させることとな つた。 .
これに対して、 従来、 主として A1含有量の多いフヱライ ト系ステンレス鋼と することによって対処していたが、 ステンレス鋼中の A1含有量を多くすると、 熱延鋼帯の脆化を促進し、 製造時に通板割れや破断の頻度を高く し、 さらには 通常の製造設備では製造が不可能となるという問題があった。
そこで、 この高 A 1舍有フヱライ トステンレス鋼の上記問題点を克服するため の技術として、 特公平 2— 58340 号公報に開示されているような方法が提案さ れた。 この従来技術は、 Ce , La , Pr , Ndなどの希土類元素を合計で 0. 060w t% まで添加する技術である力、'、 とくに板厚の薄い製品を製造しょうとする場合に, 通常の熱間加工温度では加工することができないという、 さらに別の問題が生 じた。
また、 特公平 4 一 8502号公報 (特開昭 63— 45351 号公報) に記載されている ような方法も提案された。 この従来技術は、 上記の特公平 2—58340 号公報に 記載の方法が抱えている問題を克服するべく開究された技術である。 この技術 の特徴は、 弊害の主要因である Ceを除いたランタノィ ドを添加することにより、 割れのない圧延加工を可能にするとともに、 より一層の耐酸化性の向上を図る ことにある。 しかしながら、 この従来技術は、 希土類元素 (以下、 「R E M」 と略記する) から Ceのみを分離除去することが必要であることから、 価格の上 舁を招く他、 後述するように、 ハニカム構造体としたときの接合部の耐酸化性 が不十分なものしか得られないという問題を抱えていた。
また、 上記各従来技術 (特公平 2— 58340 号公報および上記特公平 4一 8502 号公報) が抱えている問題点を克服するものとして、 さらに特開平 3— 170642 号公報に記載の方法が提案された。 この技術は、 ガス組成変動を伴う高温の燃 焼排ガスの高速気流中にあっても、 箔形状での耐酸化性に優れるのみならず、 触媒の担持体として触媒活性の耐久性維持に効果があり、 かつ安価に供給可能 な製造性の優れたフヱライ ト系ステンレス鐧の箔に関するものである。 この技 術は.、 R E M量に応じて Pの量を調整して添加することにより、 とくに Pと Ce との結びつきを強めて熱間加工性を改良したものである。 しかしながら、 実際 には、 この P化合物が耐酸化性に対して有効に作用しないことが多く、 特に、 ろう付, 溶接といった接合部においては、 その部分の耐酸化性を著しく劣化さ せるという問題を残していた。
上記各従来技術について、 解決を必要とする残る課題は、 より一層の耐酸化 性の向上とともに靱性および熱間加工性にも優れたフヱライ ト系ステンレス鐧 が得られないということである。
そこで、 本発明は、 正にこのような課題を克服することができるフヱライ ト 系ステンレス鋼を提供することを目的とするものである。 発明の開示
上記目的を実現する鋼として、 本発明は、

本発明の特徴は、 耐酸化性に加えてさらに靱性および熱間加工性も改善され たフヱライ ト系ステンレス鋼を開発した点にある。
このように耐酸化性の他に靱性と熱間加工性をも改善するためには、 次のよ うな合金設計が有効である。 すなわち、 .
(1) 接合部などの耐酸化性を向上させるためには、 La,Ce を、 従来考えられ ていた量よりも多く し、 しかも、 La/Ce比を好適な値とすることが必要である。
(2) 耐酸化性への影響が大きいとされる Sの作用を抑制する Ca, Mg, Baは好 適な量とすることが必要である。
(3) 耐酸性を低下させることなく靭性を改善するためには、 Tiと C, N各含有 量は好適な量とすることが必要である。
(4) 熱間加工性を改善するためには、 S, P, 0を低減し、 特に 0について は、 従来より一層厳しく して lOppm を上限とすることが必要である。
そして、 本発明は、 これらの着想に基づく綱成分組成のコントロールによつ て、 所望の特性を有するフユライ ト系ステンレス鐧を開発したのである。
以下に、 本発明鋼の成分組成を上記のように限定した理由につき、 始めに主 要成分の関係について説明する。
(1) La : 0.06〜0.5 wt%, Ce: 0.002 〜0.05wt%, (La) / 〔Ce〕 ≥ 5 ; La, Ceは、 いずれも耐酸化性の向上に有効で、 とくに Laの場合、 0.06wt%未 満の舍有量ではその効果が不十分となり、 一方、 0.50wt%を超えると清浄度が 悪くなり、 加工性が劣化する。
また、 は、 スケールの剥離を抑制するという面で耐酸化性に効果があり、 この効果を得るためには、 少なく とも 0.002wt%の添加が必要である。 し力、し、 この Ceをあまり多く添加すると、 添加の効果を却って低下させるので、 0.050 wt%を上限とする。
この Laと Ceは、 ろう付時のように 1200'C以上に加熱された場合、 ろう付部に 拡散し、 有効量が減少するため、 多量に添加する必要がある。 また、 接合部の ように拘束されている部分は、 加熱, 冷却のサイクルにおいて応力集中が生じ、 酸化皮膜に亀裂が入り、 耐酸化性が劣化しやすい傾向にある。 このとき、 Laノ Ce≥ 5とすると、 皮膜の修復機能が向上し、 耐酸化性が改善される。
さらに、 図 2に示す酸化増量の 2つの曲線が示すように、 La/Ce≥ 5のとき、 A1203 中の酸素の拡散が ί卬制される結果、 酸化増量曲線は低い方にシフ トする ことが判かる。 このような作用により、 1100'C繰り返し酸化試験の場合、 図 3 に示すように、 耐酸化性が向上するのである。 一方、 LaZCe≥10を満足するようにすると、 さらに高温での耐酸化性が向上 するようになる。 1150'C操り返し酸化試験の結果を図 4に示すが、 La/Ce≥10 のとき、 異常酸化までの通算酸化時間が 150時間以上となり、 さらに良好な耐 酸化性が得られることが判る。
(2) P≤0.020 wt%, S≤0.0050wt%, O≤10ppm
(1)で述べたように本発明は、 La, Ce量を従来よりも多めに添加することを 特徴とするものである力く、 このとき熱間加工性の劣化が懸念される。 このため 本発明では、 有害元素である P, S, 0をできるだけ低減して、 熱間加工性の 劣化が最小限となるように工夫した。 とくに、 0については、 5ppm 以下と著 しく低いレベルに保つことが必要である。
また、 これらの成分は、 熱間加工性を劣化させる他、 ろう付, 溶接などにお ける接合欠陥を生じやすいので、 極力低くすることが必要である。
(3) S : 0.0050wt%以下 〔 S〕 〔Ca〕 + 〔Mg〕 + 1/5 〔Ba〕 ;
Sは、 耐酸化性および熱間加工性を低下させるので、 基本的には 0.0050wt% 以下に制限する。 し力、も、 Ca, Mg, Baとの関係が図 1に示すところから明らか なように、 Ca, Mg, Baのいずれか 1種以上を舍有させると、 これらの元素が S を固定し、 かつ耐酸化性に対する Tiの悪影響 (Tiの炭 ·窒化物は 1000'C以上で 分解し再固溶するが、 表面皮膜 Z素地界面に TiS を生成し、 異常酸化の原因と なる) を抑えて、 Laの耐酸化性向上効果を助長する作用がある。 従って、 Ca, Mg, Baは Sとの関係において、 次式:
(Ca) + (Mg) + 1/5 〔Ba〕 ≥ 〔 S〕
を満足するように添加することが必要である。
しかし、 これらの元素があまり多過ぎる'と清浄度が悪くなり、 却って靱性が 劣化するので、 〔Ca〕 + (Mg) + 1/5 〔Ba〕 量が 0.001〜0.20wt%の範囲内に なるようにすることが必要である。
なお、 図 1に示す酸化試験は、 1100'C X24Hr大気中加熱後室温まで冷却する サイクルの繰返し試験である。 評価は、 異常酸化までの通算酸化時間が 450時 間か否かで判断した。

(4) Ti : 0.010〜0.30wt%、 Ti≥48/12 〔 C〕 + 48/14 〔N〕 ;
は、 本発明鋼においては、 靱性向上の観点からとくに重要な元素である。 すなわち、 この Ti力 C , Nを固定することによって靱性を向上させるのであ る。 こうした効果を得るためには少なく とも 0.010 wt%の添加が必要であるが、 あまりに多いと却って靱性の劣化を招くだけでなく、 耐酸化性をも低下させる。 このため Tiの上限は、 0.30wt%に制限する。
なお、 この Tiは、 C , Nと結合して TiC, TiNとなるものであり、 鐧中の C , Nを完全に固定するための Tiの最小必要添加量は、 次式;
Ti≥48/12 〔 C〕 + 48/14 〔N〕 ;
を満足するように舍有させることが必要である。
さらに、 この は、 熱間加工性を向上させる作用がある。 C , Nの固定作用 としては、 Nb, Zrも知られているが、 この Tiの場合はさらに集合組織の改善に も有効に働く。 この点、 Nb, Zrでは集合組織改善の効果が不十分である。
次に、 従来の合金に比べて良好な耐酸化性を示す本発明鐧とするための, そ の他の成分についての組成限定の理由を述べる。
C : 0.030 wt%以下、 N : 0.030 wt%以下, ;
C , Nは、 それぞれが 0.030 wt%を越えて存在する場合、 熱延鐧帯の靱性を 著しく低下させる。 従って C , Nの含有量'はともに 0.030wt%以下とした。 Si : 1.0 wt%以下; 、
Siは、 耐酸化性を向上させる元素であるが、 その効果は A1ほどではない。 む しろ、 靱性を劣化させる欠点がある。 従って、 Siの含有量は 1.0wt%以下とし た。
Mn: 1.0 wt%以下;
は、 耐酸化性を低下させるので 1.0^%以下とした。
P : 0.020 wt%以下;
Pは、 耐酸化性および熱延鋼帯の靱性に悪影響を及ぼすため、 その量を 0.0 20wt%以下に抑える。
S : 0.0050wt%以下;
Sは、 熱間加工性, 耐酸化性を低下させるので、 0.0050wt%以下に抑える。 Ni : 0.5 wt%以下;
Niは、 靱性を劣化させるので 0.5 wt%以下とした。
Cr: 15〜25wt%;
Crは、 ステンレス鋼の耐酸化性および耐食性を確保する際に極めて重要な元 素である。 この Crの含有量が 15wt%未満の場合、 これら特性が充分でなく、 一 方、 25wt%を超える場合には熱延鋼帯の靱性が著しく低下する。 従って、 Crの 含有量は 15〜25wt%とした。
A1 : 3.5 ~15.0 t%;
A1は、 耐酸化性を向上させる元素である。 耐酸化性確保のためには 3.5wt% 未満の含有量では不充分であり、 一方、 15.0wt%を超えると靱性が悪くなる。 従って、 ·Α1の含有量は 3.5〜15.0^%とした。
0 : lOppm 以下;
0は、 それが lOppm を超えて存在する場合、 La, Ceと結合し、 La, Ceの耐酸 化性向上効果を阻害する。 しかも、 La, Ceの多量添加による熱間加工性の劣化 を防止するためにも、 できるだけ低く抑えることが必要であり、 好ましくは 5 ppm 以下にするのが良い。
次に、 本発明鐲においては、 上記各成分に加えて、 必要に応じ、 さらに V, Wのうちのいずれか 1種かまたは 2種と、 Moを添加する。 以下これらの成分添 加理由とそれらの添加量を限定する理由につき述べる。
V : 0.05〜2.0 wt%, W: 0.05〜2.0 wt%;
V, Wは、 鋼中の Cを固定し、 熱延鋼帯の靱性を向上させる作用がある。 こ れらの作用を得るための V, Wの含有量は 0.05wt%未満では不充分である。 し かし、 その量が 2.0 wt%を超えると介在物の粗大化により熱延鐧帯の靭性が劣 化する。
Mo: 0.01〜1.0 wt%;
Moは、 表面皮膜の密着性を改善し、 表面皮膜の剝離を抑制する作用がある。 この作用を得るためには、 0.01wt%未満では不充分である。 し力、し、 その量が 1.0 wt%を超えると逆に表面皮膜の密着性を劣化させる。
本発明ステンレス鋼板を製造する方法としては、 通常の溶製法の他、 A1添加 による脆化防止のため、 例えば、 A1をクラッ ド圧延し、 その後拡散熱処理する ことによって製造することもできる。
実施例 1
高周波誘導炉にて、 表 1 (本発明合金例: A 1〜A22) および表 2 (比較 例: B 1〜B23、 ただし、 従来例 1 : BIO, B12, 従来例 2 : Bll, B13, 従 来例 3 : B15, B16, B18) に示す成分組成の 10kgの鋼塊を得た。 この鋼塊を 鏺造して厚さ 40mm、 幅 50關の板とし、 さらに熱間圧延を施して 2.5mm 厚の熱延 板とした。 製造した各熱延板について耐酸化性試験と靭性の試験を行った。 そ の結果を表 3 , 表 4に示す。
① 耐酸化性の試験については、 前記熱延板から、 冷間圧延および焼鈍 ( 900 'C X 2分) を繰り返すことにより、 板厚 50;«m の箔を製造し、 25 > 50 の 2枚の箔を、 1枚は平板, もう 1枚をコルゲート加工し、 Ni基ろう材を用い て 1200'C X20分の真空熱処理によって接合した。 この箔を 1100'C, 大気中で 24時間加熱し、 室温まで冷却し、 重量変化を測定することを 1サイクルとし て操り返し酸化試験して、 異常酸化およびスケール剝離が生ずるまでの通算 酸化時間により評価した。 なお、 異常酸化とは、 酸化曲線が放物線則あるい は直線則から大きく外れて酸化増量が増大することをいい、 スケール剥離と は、 酸化皮膜がはがれ落ちることにより、 試験片重量が急激に減少すること をいう。
② 靭性については、 熱延板を 950'C— 10分で固溶化熱処理し、 その後水冷し た材料をシャルピー衝撃試験を行い、 延性一脆性遷移温度で評価した。
③ 熱間加工性については、 10kg鋼塊から柱状晶と直角に試験片を採取し、 1200 X90秒に保持した後 900てに降温し、 引張り試験による絞り値で判断 した。 なお、 900Ϊでの絞り値が 85%以上あれば熱閒圧延で割れを生ずるこ となく圧延が可能である。
表 3 , 表 4に示す結果から明らかなように、 本発明適合例では異常酸化まで の時間が 450時間以上、 延性一脆性遷移温度が 80'C以下、 900'Cにおける絞り 値が 85%以上と良好な特性を示した。 これに対し、 従来合金 1 (特公平 2— 58 340 号) に対応する B 10, B12では、 La, Ce量が少ないため、 異常酸化までの 時間が極めて短い。 また、 従来合金 2 (特公平 4 一 8502号) に対応する B 11, B13は、 Ceを舍有していないため、 スケール剝離が発生し、 また、 ろう付部分 の酸化が著しいという結果を示した。 さらに、 従来合金 3 (特開平 3— 170642 号) に対応する B15, B16, B18は、 Ceが Pと結合し、 耐酸化性改善元素とし ての作用を失い、 異常酸化までの時間が短いという結果を示した。
図 2は、 本発明合金 A 3と比較合金 C22についての時間と酸化増量の関係を 示す。 この図に明らかなように、 本発明合金 A 3は、 異常酸化までの時間が長 いだけでなく、 曲線が低い方にシフ トしていることが判る。
図 3は、 本発明合金 ( A 1〜A22) と比較合金 (B 1〜B23) のうちの代表 成分例について、 , Ceの関係が異常酸化までの通算酸化時間に及ぼす影響を 示す図である。 なお、 〇厶 の評価は、 下記のように、 1100'C X24Hr大気中加 熱後室温まで冷却するサイクルの繰返し試験時の異常酸化までの通算酸化時間 が 450時間以上かどうかを規準としたものである。

実施例 2
LaZCeの関係について、 さらに詳細に検討するため、 実施例 1に示す操り返 し酸化試験において、 試験条件をより厳しい (1150'C , 7時間大気中で加熱し 室温まで冷却することを 1サイクルとする) 試験を行った。 その他の試験条件 は実施例 1 と同一である。
表 3 , 表 4に示す結果から明らかなように、 本発明合金のうち、 La/Ce 10 のもの (A 1〜A 12) は、 異常酸化までの時間がいずれも 150時間以上と良好 な特性を示した。 ( 図 4参照)
しかしながら、 本発明合金であっても、 LaZCe == 5〜10のもの(A 13〜A22) は、 La/Ce ^ lOのものに比較して異常酸化までの時間が 150時間未満と短くな り、 厳しい条件での使用には問題があることが判った。
一方、 従来合金 1に対応する B 10 , B 12では、 La , Ce量が少ないため、 異 常酸化までの時間が極めて短く、 また、 従来合金 2に対応する B 11 , B 13では、 Ceを舍有していないため、 スケール剥離が発生し、 また、 ろう付部分の酸化が 著しいという結果を示した。 そして、 従来合金 3に対応する B 15, B 16, B 18 では、 Ceが Pと結合し、 耐酸化性改善元素としての作用を失なう結果、 異常酸 化までの時間が短い。
故に、 LaZCeのより好ましい範囲としては La/Ce 10とすることで、 より優 れた耐酸化性を得ることができることが確かめられた。
なお、 図 4は、 1150。C X 7 Hrの大気中加熱後室温まで冷却するサイクルの繰 返し試験の結果を示すものである。

以上説明したように本発明は、 La/Ce 比、 〔 S〕 と 〔Ca, Mg, Ba) との関係、 Tiと 〔 C, N〕 との関係を精密に制御することにより、 一段と優れた耐酸化性 と優れた靱性および熱間加工性とを同時に実現したフ ラィ トステンレス鐧で ある。

さらに、 上記各成分が、 下記(1) 〜(3) 式の関係を満たしており、 ■ ( S ) ≤ (Ca) + (Mg) + 1/5 (Ba) --- (1)

Ti ≥ 48/12 〔 C〕 + 48/14 〔N〕 --- (3)
さらに、 Moを 0·01〜1.0 1^%舍有し、
残部が不可避的不純物と Feよりなることを特徴とする耐酸化性に優れたフ ラィ ト系ステンレス鋼。 .
4. C : 0.030 wt%以下、 Si : 1.0 ^%以下、
Μη : 1.0 wt%以下、 ' Ni : 0.5 wt%以下、
Cr : 15〜25wt%、 A1 : 3.5 〜15.0wt%、 Ti: 0.010 〜0.30wt%、 N : 0.030 wt%以下、
P : 0.020 wt%以下、 S : 0.0050wt%以下および、
0 : lOppm 以下舍み、 そして、
Ca, Mg, Baのうちから選ばれるいずれか 1種または 2種以上を、
(Ca) + (Mg) + 1/5 (Ba) として 0.001〜0.20wt%含み、
La: 0.06〜0.5 wt%および Ce : 0.002 〜0.050 wt%を舍み、
さらに、 上記各成分が下記(1) 〜(3) 式の関係を満たしており、

さらに、 V : 0.05〜2.0 wt%および W: 0.05〜2.0 wt%のいずれか 1種また は 2種と、 Mo : 0.01〜1.0 wt%を舍有し、
