Abstract

Derartige Tuftingnadeln werden in einer größeren Anzahl in Nadelmodule eingeformt, die ihrerseits an einer Nadelbarre festgelegt werden. Auf einer Seite weisen die Tuftingnadeln eine Fadenführungsrinne sowie an einem Rand der der Fadenführungsrinne gegenüberliegenden Looperseite eine Fase auf. Je nach Einsatzzweck und Looperausführung müssen verschiedene Varianten bereitgehalten werden. Im System von Tuftingnadeln und Nadelmodulen sollen deshalb weitere Vereinfachungen vorgenommen werden, so daß die Nadelmodule für alle Konstellationen von Looperausführungen einsetzbar sind. Erfindungsgemäß ist an dem zweiten Rand der Looperseite der Tuftingnadel ebenfalls eine Fase vorgesehen.

Description

TUFTINGNADEL
Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Tuftingnadel, bestehend aus einem Kolben, der mindestens teilweise in ein Nadelmodul einformbar ist, und einem Schaft, der eine mit einem Öhr ver¬ sehene Nadelspitze und auf einer Seite eine Fadenführungsrinne sowie an einem Rand der der Fadenführungsrinne gegenüberliegenden Looperseite eine Fase aufweist.
Derartige Tuftingnadeln werden in einer größeren Anzahl in Nadelmodule eingeformt, die ihrerseits an einer Nadelbarre festgelegt werden.
Die Nadelmodule weisen eine Anlagefläche auf, die mit einer vorspringenden Leiste verse¬ hen sein kann. Die Leiste kann als Formleiste ausgebildet sein, die in eine Nut der Nadel¬ barre eingreift. Sie kann auch als eine Anlageleiste ausgebildet sein, die beim Befestigen an der Nadelbarre an deren Unterkante anliegt.
Aus der WO 95/23 253 ist bereits ein Nadelmodul bekannt, dessen beide Seiten als Anla¬ gefläche ausgebildet sind. Entsprechend ist an beiden Anlageflächen eine Anlageleiste an¬ geformt.
Das deutsche Gebrauchsmuster 295 06 819.1 zeigt ein Nadelmodul mit ebenfalls zwei An¬ lageflächen und an beiden Anlageflächen angeformten Leisten, die in eine Nut der Nadel¬ barre eingreifen.
Bei den vorgenannten Varianten kann das Modul somit auch in einer um 180° verdrehten Position eingesetzt werden. Die Zahl der erforderlichen Werkzeuge kann auf diese Weise halbiert werden. Dies hat folgenden technischen Hintergrund:
Für Nadelmodule mit nur einer Anlagefläche ist es nötig, verschiedene Varianten je nach Einsatzzweck bereitzuhalten. Das ist auf folgende Ursache zurückzuführen: Beim Betrieb des Nadelmoduls greift nach dem Durchstechen eines Grundgewebes jeweils an einer Seite einer Tuftingnadel ein Looper zwischen der Seitenfläche der Nadel und dem
Faden ein und hält den Faden fest. Auf diese Weise werden bei der Wiederaufwärtsbewe- gung der Nadeln Schlingen gebildet.
Um den Verschleiß beim Zusammenwirken von Loopern und Nadeln gering zu halten, sind die Nadeln an dieser Seitenfläche in einem bestimmten Winkel zu Bewegungsrichtung der Looper angefast.
Je nachdem, wie die Tuftingmaschine nun ausgebildet ist, ob die Looper bei ihrer Bewe¬ gung links oder rechts der Nadeln eingreifen und ob die Looper mit Blick auf die Längs¬ richtung der Nadelbarre links oder rechts der Nadelbarre angeordnet sind, müssen entspre¬ chende Modulvarianten angefertigt werden, im geschilderten Fall ergeben sich vier Mög¬ lichkeiten, d.h. es sind vier verschiedene Module bereitzuhalten.
Mit den eingangs beschriebenen in zwei Positionen einsetzbaren Modulen gelingt es, die Anzahl der nötigen Varianten zu halbieren, da ein Modul durch Verdrehen sowohl für links als auch rechts der Nadelbarre angeordnete Looper geeignet ist. Dabei verbleiben zwei Varianten für jeweils an den linken oder rechten Seitenflächen der Nadeln eingreifende Looper.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, in dem System von Tuftingnadeln und Nadel¬ modulen weitere Vereinfachungen vorzusehen, so daß die Nadelmodule für alle Konstella¬ tionen von Looperausführungen einsetzbar sind.
Erfindungsgemäß wird die Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß an dem zweiten Rand der Looper¬ seite ebenfalls eine Fase vorgesehen ist.
In erfindungsgemäß bevorzugter Weise kann die Tuftingnadel bezüglich einer die Faden¬ führungsrinne und die Looperseite mittig teilenden Ebene symmetrisch ausgebildet sein. Die Erfindung soll anhand eines Ausführungsbeispieles näher erläutert werden. In den zu¬ gehörigen Zeichnungen zeigen:

Fig. 2 ein Nadelmodul entsprechend Fig. 1 in Seitenansicht,
Fig. 3 eine vergrößerte Ansicht eines Moduls mit den erfindungsgemäßen Tuftingnadeln von unten,
Fig. 4 die Seitenansicht eines Nadelmoduls mit bisher bekannten Tuftingnadeln,
Fig. 5 eine vergrößerte Ansicht des Nadelmoduls entsprechend Fig. 4 in der Sicht von unten.
Fig. 1 zeigt ein Nadelmodul 1 , bestehend aus einem Grundkörper 2 und den Tuftingnadeln 3, die mit einem Teil ihres Kolbens 4 in den Grundkörper 2 eingeformt sind. Zur Befesti¬ gung an einer Nadelbarre ist der Grundkörper 2 mit einer Bohrung 5 versehen. Wie aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich wird, ist an beiden Seiten des Grundkörpers 2 jeweils eine Anlageleiste 6 angeformt. Mit einer der Anlageleisten 6 liegt das Nadelmodul 1 dann beim Betrieb einer Tuftingmaschine an der Unterkante einer Nadelbarre an.
Der Schaft 7 der Tuftingnadeln 3 weist zur Fadenführung eine Fadenführungsrinne 8 auf, wie in der Ansicht nach Fig. 3 deutlich wird. Aus der Sicht der Fig. 2 befindet sich die Fadenführungsrinne 8 auf der Rückseite der Nadeln 3. An der Spitze der Nadeln 3 befindet sich ein Öhr 9, durch das der Faden hindurchgeführt wird.
An beiden Stirnflächen der Nadeln 3 befinden sich zur vorderen, aus Sicht der Fig. 2 in der Papierebene liegenden Seitenfläche, der Looperseite 11 der Nadeln 3 hin Fasen 10. Damit kann das Nadelmodul 1 für Tuftingmaschinen eingesetzt werden, deren hier nicht gezeigte Looper, bezogen auf eine Stellung des Nadelmoduls, wie sie in Fig. 2 gezeigt ist, aus einer Richtung von links auf das Nadelmodul 1 zu und rechts an den Nadeln vorbeibe¬ wegt werden oder aus einer Richtung von rechts auf das Nadelmodul 1 zu und links an den Nadeln vorbei. Im ersten Fall greifen die Looper zwischen den links von ihnen ab- und aufwärts bewegten Nadeln und den Fäden ein und im anderen Fall zwischen den rechts von ihnen ab- und aufwärts bewegten Nadeln und den Fäden.
Bei Drehung des Nadelmoduls 1 an der Nadelbarre ist das Nadelmodul geeignet für Tuf- tingmaschinen, deren Looper von links auf die Nadelbarre zu und links an den Nadeln vor¬ bei bzw. von rechts auf die Nadelbarre zu und rechts an den Nadeln vorbei bewegt werden.
Die Figuren 4 bis 6 zeigen ein Nadelmodul 1 mit Nadeln 3, wie sie bisher bekannt sind. Die Nadeln 3 sind nur an einer Kante mit einer Fase 10 versehen. Sie sind deshalb nur ge¬ eignet für Tuftingmaschinen, deren Looper aus Sicht der Fig. 4 von links auf das Nadel¬ modul zu bewegt werden und den Faden rechts von den Nadeln greifen.
Bei Drehung des Nadelmoduls 1 um 180° eignet sich das Nadelmodul 1 für Tuftingma¬ schinen, deren Looper, analog der Sicht auf Fig. 5, aber jetzt mit einem um 180° gedreh¬ ten Nadelmodul, von rechts auf das Nadelmodul zubewegt wird und den Faden rechts von den Nadeln greifen.
Für Tuftingmaschinen, deren Looper den Faden, aus der Bewegungsrichtung des Loopers gesehen, links von den Nadeln greifen, wäre ein Nadelmodul nötig, dessen Nadeln an der gegenüberliegenden Kante gefast sind.
Ein mit den erfindungsgemäßen Nadeln ausgerüstetes Nadelmodul kann, sofern es außer¬ dem so gestaltet ist, das es auch in einer um 180° verdrehten Position einsetzbar ist, für alle Varianten von Tuftingmaschinen eingesetzt werden.

Claims

Ansprüche
1. Tuftingnadel, bestehend aus einem Kolben (3), der mindestens teilweise in ein Na¬ delmodul (1) einformbar ist, und einem Schaft (7), der eine mit einem Öhr (9) versehene Nadelspitze und auf einer Seite eine Fadenführungsrinne (8) sowie an einem Rand der der Fadenführungsrinne (8) gegenüberliegenden Looperseite (11) eine Fase (10) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß an dem zweiten Rand der Looperseite (11) ebenfalls eine Fase (10) vorgesehen ist.
2. Tuftingnadel nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie bezüglich einer die Fadenführungsrinne (8) und die Looperseite (11) mittig teilenden Ebene symmetrisch aus¬ gebildet ist.
