Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Freilauftretkurbel (1), insbesondere für Fahrräder und medizinische Übungsgeräte, mit einem Kurbelarm (2), der im Bereich seines ersten Endes (3) ein Betätigungselement (4) in Form eines Pedals oder dergleichen aufweist und im Bereich seines zweiten Endes (5) über einen Freilauf (7) an einer Tretlagerwelle (15) derart befestigbar ist, daß bei Drehung der Kurbel (1) in einer ersten Richtung (F) ein Drehmoment auf die Tretlagerwelle (15) übertragbar ist und in der Drehgegenrichtung (G) eine Drehmomententkopplung erfolgt. Gekennzeichnet ist die Erfindung durch mindestens einen am zweiten Ende (5) des Kurbelarmes (2) angeordneten Gewichtskörper (10), der derart geformt, dimensioniert und positioniert ist, daß bei Entlastung des Betätigungselementes (4) ein selbsttätiges Verschwenken des Kurbelarms (2) in eine Ruheposition erfolgt, in der der Kurbelarm (2) vom Tretlager im wesentlichen nach oben, bezogen auf die Richtung der Gewichtskraft, verläuft. Weiter betrifft die Erfindung ein damit ausgerüstetes Fahrrad oder medizinisches Übungsgerät.
