Abstract

A cartridge (10) concentrically received within a bushing (12) fixed to the end wall (14) of an air reservoir tank (16). The bushing (12) includes a retaining groove (36) for receiving a snap ring (60) engageable with a retaining surface (62) on the cartridge (10), thereby securing the cartridge (10) within the end wall (14) of the tank (16). The cartridge (10) includes a fluid passageway (40) which may be provided with a plurality of components, including push-to-connect tube or hose fittings, inlet check valves (82), pressure relief valves (98), or the like, by which the cartridge (10) provides for communication with the interior of the air reservoir tank (16).
