L'invention divulgue un milieu de culture contenant une polyvinylpyrrolidone comme substitut du sérum d'origine animale pour produire des cellules animales ou humaines adhérentes sous agitation en augmentant la prolifération cellulaire ou en diminuant la mortalité cellulaire. Ce milieu convient également à la production de virus.
