Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé et équipement pour l'activation d'une fonction de communication d'informations par un équipement distant (1) connectable au réseau Internet et à un réseau de télécommunication, ledit équipement comprenant des moyens de mise en oeuvre des protocoles Internet, des moyens de traitement du signal pour la transmission effective des signaux physiques sur le réseau de télécommunication et une interface avec le réseau de télécommunication apte à détecter un appel entrant. le procédé comporte une étape d'activation de l'équipement connectable par un évènement local ou distant, et la connexion à un fournisseur d'accès Internet FAI en réponse à ladite étape d'activation. Le procédé comporte en outre une étape de lecture d'une adresse IP temporaire assignée par le fournisseur d'accès pendant l'étape de connexion.
