Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de navigation pour robot mobile comportant un moyen de mesure de l'amplitude et de la phase d'un signal électromagnétique périodique émis par un fil faisant office de limite pour une surface de travail du robot. Le moyen de mesure effectue un échantillonnage de l'amplitude du signal durant chaque période, le résultat de chaque mesure de l'échantillonnage est stocké dans une mémoire et les mesures sont répétées pendant plusieurs périodes, les résultats récoltés étant additionnés dans lesdites mémoires jusqu'à ce que le contenu d'une mémoire atteigne un seuil de référence. Le nombre d'échantillonnages nécessaire et le contenu de chaque mémoire est interprété par analyse numérique pour déterminer la distance ou variation de distance par rapport auxdits éléments de limite. Tout changement de phase correspondant au passage au delà du fil de limite est aisément détecté et résulte par exemple en une commande de retour du robot vers sa zone de travail.
