力ルポニル化反応によりカルボン酸 (酢酸など) 又はその誘導体 (メタクリル酸メチルなど) が工業的に製造されている。 例えば、 特開昭 4 8 - 5 4 0 1 1号公報には、 ロジウム又はィリジゥム成分 と、 ヨウ素又は臭素成分とを含む触媒系の存在下、 液相中で、 ォレ フィン、 アルコール又はそのエステル、 ハロゲン化物又はェ一テル 誘導体を一酸化炭素と反応させ、 液体反応物の少なくとも一部分を 実質的に低い圧力の分離帯に熱を加えずに通して前記カルボニル化 生成物の少なくとも一部分を気化させ、 該気化カルボニル化生成物 を取り出し、 残留液体反応物を前記反応帯に再循環させるカルボ二 ル化法が開示されている。 この文献には、 未反応一酸化炭素を反応 器から除去することが記載されている。 特開平 6— 3 2 1 8 4 7号 公報には、 カルボニル触媒としてイリジウム触媒を使用し、 反応生 成物を蒸発させてカルポニル化生成物を含む蒸気成分とィリジゥム 触媒を含む液体成分とを生成し、 蒸気成分と液体成分とを分離し、 液体成分に少なくとも 0 . 5重量%の水濃度を維持するカルポニル 化生成物の回収方法が開示されている。 この文献には、 未反応一酸 化炭素を反応器から排ガスとして排出することが図示されている。 特表平 1 0— 5 0 8 5 9 4号公報には、 ロジウム触媒の存在下で 液相でのカルボニル化によりカルボン酸を生成させる第 1領域と、 反応混合物を部分的に蒸発させる第 2領域とを含み、 生成したカル ボン酸を含む蒸発画分を精製するとともに、 触媒を含む蒸発しない 液体画分を第 1領域に循環させる方法において、 一酸化炭素が第 2 領域に戻らないようにして、 第 2領域から発生する蒸発しない液体 画分に、 一酸化炭素を添加し、 一酸化炭素の損失を回避することが 提案されている。
特開 2 0 0 0— 9 5 7 2 3号公報には、 カルボニル化による酢酸 の製造プロセスにおいて、 制御弁を通る一酸化炭素流を測定し、 所 定時間当たりの一酸化炭素流の平均値を計算し、 この平均一酸化炭 素流に一定値を加算して一酸化炭素の最大流速を算出し、 反応器へ の一酸化炭素流速が最大流速を超えないように操作する制御方法が 開示されている。
しかし、 これらのカルボニル化方法は、 コンプレッサで一酸化炭 素を加圧して反応を行う加圧反応系であり、 このような加圧反応系 では、 サージングの発生を防止するため、 コンプレッサの入口と出 口とで一定の圧力と流量を維持しつつ、 反応系に一酸化炭素を供給 している。 一方、 所定の加圧下で反応を行う加圧反応系では反応温 度の変動に伴って一酸化炭素の消費量も変動する。 特に、 実際の製 造プラントでは、 反応系での反応温度が若干変動しても、 一酸化炭 素の消費量が大きく変動する。 そこで、 反応系の圧力低下を防止す るため、 消費量の多いケースを想定して、 コンプレッサ出口から、 定常状態での一酸化炭素の消費量 (基準消費量) よりも過剰の一酸 化炭素を基準流量として反応系に供給している。 そのため、 反応系 での一酸化炭素消費量が少ないときには、 反応系の圧力を所定の圧 力に維持するため、 反応系で過剰の一酸化炭素は、 反応系外に燃焼 させてフレアとして放出し、 安定な操業を確保している。 しかし、 このようなシステムでは、 一酸化炭素を有効に利用できず、 経済的 に大きな損失をもたらす。
さらに、 一酸化炭素製造プラントと、 このプラントで製造された 一酸化炭素を用いてカルボニル化反応を行う製造ブラント(例えば、 酢酸製造プラント) とでは、 一酸化炭素の供給システムと、 力ルポ ニル化反応システム (又は分離精製を含む反応システム) とがそれ ぞれ独立して制御されている。 そのため、 反応系での変動要因 (圧 力変動など) を、 一酸化炭素製造プラント及び供給システムの制御 に反映できない。 従って、 一酸化炭素の放出量をより効率よく低減 するとともに、 一酸化炭素をカルボニル化反応に有効利用すること が困難である。
従って、 本発明の目的は、 一酸化炭素などの気体反応成分を加圧 反応系での反応に有効に利用できる制御方法及び制御装置を提供す るし clにある。
本発明の他の目的は、 気体反応成分の放出を抑制でき、 経済的に 有利に気体反応成分を反応させるために有用な制御方法及び制御装 置を提供することにある。
本発明のさらに他の目的は、 工業的に基準流量よりも多くの気体 反応成分を連続的に供給する加圧反応系(力ルポニル化反応系など) において、 反応系での一酸化炭素消費量が変動しても、 気体反応成 分を反応に有効に利用できる制御方法及び制御装置を提供すること にある。 発明の開示
本発明者らは、 前記課題を達成するため鋭意検討した結果、 定常 状態での気体反応成分の基準消費流量 (基準反応消費量) F esが変 動流量 A F cvを伴って消費される加圧反応系(カルボニル化反応系 など) において、 供給ラインにより前記基準消費量 F e sよりも過剰 量 F 1 の基準流量 Fで気体反応成分を反応系に供給し、 循環ライン により余剰量(F l— A F cv) の気体反応成分を供給ラインに循環さ せ、 反応系での気体反応成分の消費量の変動 A F cvを、 気体供給系 から供給ラインへの気体反応成分の供給量 (F cs + A F cv) で相殺 又は吸収させると、 反応温度の変動などに伴って気体反応成分の消 費量が変動しても、 供給ラインでの圧力 (及び基準流量 F ) を一定 に保ちつつ、 気体反応成分の放出をほぼゼロに低減できることを見 いだし、 本発明を完成した。
すなわち、 本発明の方法は、 供給ラインを通じて気体供給系から 気体反応成分を加圧反応系へ連続的に供給し、 反応系での余剰の気 体反応成分を循環ラインを通じて前記供給ラインにより反応系に循 環する方法であって、 反応系での気相の圧力変動に基づいて (又は 関連して)、 前記循環ラインでの反応成分の循環流量 (戻り流量) に 対応させて、 前記気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供給流量 (又は 供給圧) を制御し、 前記供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基 準流量で反応系に供給する。 また、 本発明の装置は、 気体反応成分 を加圧反応系に供給するための供給ラインと、 この供給ラインに気 体反応成分を供給するための供給ュニッ卜と、 前記供給ラインに設 けられ、 かつ供給ユニッ トからの気体反応成分を加圧するための加 圧手段と、 前記反応系での余剰の気体反応成分を反応系に循環させ るための循環ラインと、前記反応系の気相の圧力変動に基づいて(又 は関連して)、前記循環ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制御すると ともに、 供給ュニッ卜から供給ラインへの気体反応成分の供給量を 制御し、 前記供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基準流量で反 応系に供給するための制御ュニッ トとを備えている。 このような方 法及び装置では、 循環ラインでの基準流量に対する循環流量の偏差 を参照して、 気体反応成分の供給流量をコントロールすることによ り、 供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基準流量で反応系に供 給できる。
この方法において、 供給ラインと循環ラインとで合流した気体反 応成分を、 反応系での基準消費流量 F e s と、 反応系での変動消費流 量 A F cvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規定される基準流量 Fで、 反応系に連続的に供給してもよい。 また、 反応系での気体反 応成分の消費量の変動を、 気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供翁幺厶 - で相殺又は吸収させることにより、 基準流量 Fで気体反応成分を反 応系に供給できる。 前記気体供給系の気体供給源は、 液体 (液化し た気体反応成分) であってもよい。
さらに、 本発明の方法及び装置では、 少なくとも反応系の気相の 圧力変動に基づいて、 供給ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を基準流 量に制御すればよい。 例えば、 前記反応系の気相の圧力変動は、 循 環ラインを経て気体供給系の気相や供給ラインにも伝播する。 その ため、 反応系の気相の圧力変動に関連して生じる圧力変動を利用し て気体反応成分の流量を制御してもよい。 例えば、 反応系の気相の 圧力変動に基づいて、 循環ラインでの反応成分の循環流量を制御す るとともに、 気体供給系の気相の圧力変動に基づいて、 気体供給系 からの気体反応成分の供給流量を制御し、 供給ラインにより気体反 応成分を所定の基準流量で反応系に供給してもよい。 また、 本発明 の装置は、 前記反応系の気相の圧力を検出するための第 1の圧力セ ンサと、 この第 1の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 前記循 環ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御 ユニットと、 加圧手段よりも上流側の気相 (供給ユニット又は供給 ライン) の圧力変動を検出するための第 2の圧力センサと、 この第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 供給ラインでの気体反 応成分の流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御ュニッ トとを備えて いる。
本発明の方法は、 気体反応成分を利用する種々の反応、 例えば、 力ルポニル化反応などに利用できる。 より具体的には、 カルポニル 化触媒系を含む液相加圧反応系にアルコールを連続的に供給するェ 程と、 一酸化炭素を一次供給ラインによりコンプレッサに供給する 工程と、 前記コンプレッサで加圧された一酸化炭素を基準流量 Fで 二次供給ラインを通じて前記反応系に連続的に供給する工程と、 前 記二次供給ラインから分岐した循環ラインを通じて反応系の余剰の 一酸化炭素を前記一次供給ラインに合流させる工程とを含み、 前記 二次供給ラインを通じて、 一次供給ラインと循環ラインとで合流し た一酸化炭素を、 反応系での基準消費流量 F c s と、 反応系での変動 消費流量 A F cvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規定される基 準流量 Fで前記反応系に連続的に供給し、 前記反応系の気相の圧力 変動に応答して、 前記循環ラインの一酸化炭素の流量を、 前記過剰 量 F 1 と変動消費流量 A F cvに対応する流量との総循環流量 F r に 制御するとともに、 気体供給系の気相の圧力変動に応答して、 気体 供給系から一次供給ラインへの一酸化炭素の流量を前記基準消費流 量 F c s と前記変動消費流量 A F cv に対応する流量との総補給流量 F suに制御して、二次供給ラインでの基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭 素の過不足分を一次供給ラインからの一酸化炭素で調整し (又は補 い)、前記反応系のカルボニル化反応によりカルボン酸を連続的に生 成させることができる。 本発明の方法において、 反応系は、 一酸化 炭素と Cェ— 4アルコ一ル又はその誘導体との反応によりカルボン酸 又はその誘導体を生成させる加圧反応系であってもよく、 例えば、 力ルポニル化触媒系の存在下、 メタノールと一酸化炭素とを液相で 反応させ、 酢酸又はその誘導体を生成させる液相加圧反応系であつ てもよい。
本発明の装置には、 上記カルボニル化反応のための装置、例えば、 一酸化炭素をコンプレッサに供給するための一次供給ラインと、 前 記コンプレッサで加圧された一酸化炭素を加圧反応系に連続的に供 給するための二次供給ラインと、 この二次供給ラインから分岐し、 かつ前記反応系での余剰の一酸化炭素を前記一次供給ラインに合流 させるための循環ラインとを備えており、 前記二次供給ラインを通 じて、 一次供給ラインと循環ラインとで合流した一酸化炭素を、 反 応系での基準消費流量 F csと、反応系での変動消費流量 A F cvより も過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規定される基準流量 Fで前記反応 系に連続的に供給する装置であって、 前記反応系の気相の圧力を検 出するための第 1の圧力センサと、 前記循環ラインでの一酸化炭素 の流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御ュニッ卜と、 一次供給ライ ンでの圧力を検出可能な第 2の圧力センサと、 前記一次供給ライン での一酸化炭素の流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御ュニッ 卜と, 前記第 1の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流量制御 ュニッ トを駆動して前記循環ラインの一酸化炭素の流量を前記過剰 量 F 1 と変動消費流量 A F cv に対応する流量との総循環流量 F r に 制御し、 第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 第 2の流量 制御ュニットを駆動して気体供給系から一次供給ラインへの一酸化 炭素の流量を前記基準消費流量 F e s と前記変動消費流量 A F cv に 対応する流量との総補給流量 F suに制御して、 二次供給ラインでの 前記基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭素の過不足分を一次供給ラインか らの一酸化炭素で調整 (又は補給) するための制御ユニッ トとを備 えている装置も包含する。 この装置において、 一次供給ラインに一 酸化炭素を供給するための供給ユニットが、 液体一酸化炭素を貯留 する精製ユニット (塔) と、 この精製ユニッ トの液体一酸化炭素の 流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御ュニッ トと、 この流量制御ュ ニットにより制御された流量で液体一酸化炭素から気体一酸化炭素 を生成させるためのガス生成ュニッ 卜と、 このガス生成ュニッ トで 生成した気体一酸化炭素を貯留するためのバッファタンクと、 この バッファタンク又は一次供給ラインの圧力変動を検出するための第 2の圧力センサとを備えており、 第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号 に応答して、 制御ユニットが、 前記第 2の流量制御ユニッ トによる 液化一酸化炭素の流量を制御し、 二次供給ラインでの基準流量 Fに 対する過不足分の一酸化炭素を供給してもよい。
このような制御装置を利用すると、 気体反応成分の製造プラント (例えば、 一酸化炭素の製造プラント) で製造された気体反応成分 (例えば、 一酸化炭素) を化合物製造プラントの加圧反応系 (例え ば、 力ルポニル化プラントの加圧力ルポニル化反応系) に供給する ための装置であって、 前記プラントの加圧反応系 (例えば、 力ルポ ニル化反応系) での圧力変動に基づいて気体反応成分の製造プラン ト (例えば、 一酸化炭素の製造プラント) からの気体反応成分 (例 えば、 一酸化炭素) の供給量を制御できる。 すなわち、 両プラント の動作又は操業を一元的に又は一体的に管理するシステムにおいて, 反応系での変動要因 (圧力変動など) を、 気体反応成分の製造ブラ ント (例えば、 一酸化炭素製造プラント) 及び気体反応成分 (例え ば、 一酸化炭素) の供給システムの制御に反映でき、 気体反応成分 (例えば、一酸化炭素) の供給量を一体に又は一元的に制御できる。 このような方法では、 反応系での気体反応成分の消費流量 Fcは、 反応により定常的に消費される基準消費流量 Fes と、 反応温度の変 動などに伴って変動する変動消費流量 AFcv との総和で表すこと ができる (Fc= Fcs + AFcv)。 このような反応系には、 前記基準 消費流量 Fes と、変動消費流量 AFcvよりも過剰量 F1 との総和で 表される基準流量 F (F = Fcs-t- Fl)で気体反応成分が供給される。 そのため、 反応系での気体反応成分の消費量 Fc が変動消費流量△ Fcvを伴って変動しても、反応系に変動消費流量 AFcvよりも過剰 量 F1 の基準流量 Fで気体反応成分を供給でき、 反応を安定に行う ことができる。前記循環ラインでの反応成分の循環流量(戻り流量) Fr は、 前記過剰量 F1 と変動消費流量 AFcvに対応する流量との 差 (F1— AFcv) で表すことができる。 そして、 気体反応成分の消 費量の変動に伴って反応系の気相の圧力が変動すると、 前記循環ラ インでの反応成分の循環流量 F r (= F l-AFcv) に対応させて、 前記気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供給流量又は補給流量を所定 の流量 Fsu (=Fcs + AFcv) に制御し、 前記供給ラインにより気 体反応成分を所定の基準流量 Fで反応系に供給する。
「反応系の気相の圧力変動」 とは、 反応器の気相のみならず反応 器の気相の圧力変動が伝播する領域(反応器の気相と連通した領域、 例えば、 反応器へ延びる気体供給ラインなど) での圧力変動をも包 含する。 そのため、 反応系の気相の変動は、 反応器への気体反応成 分の供給ラインに設けた圧力センサのみならず、 反応器の気相の圧 力を直接測定するための圧力センサで検出してもよい。 「気体供給 系の気相の圧力変動」 領域は、 気体反応成分を収容又は貯留する空 間や、 気体反応成分を供給するための流路 (気体反応成分の生成系 から加圧手段に延びる供給ラインなど) を含むものとする。 図面の簡単な説明

以下に、 必要により添付図面を参照しつつ本発明をより詳細に説 明する。 図 1は本発明の制御方法および制御装置を説明するための プロセスフロー図であり、 図 2は図 1の制御装置を説明するための フローチャートである。
この例では、 気体反応成分の製造プラント (例えば、 一酸化炭素 製造プラン卜) からカルボニル化プラント (例えば、 酢酸製造ブラ ント) へ気体反応成分 (一酸化炭素) を連続的に供給している。 す なわち、 ロジウム触媒、 ヨウ化リチウム、 ヨウ化メチルで構成され たカルボニル化触媒系の存在下、 アルコール (メタノールなど) と 一酸化炭素 (気体反応成分) との力ルポニル化反応によりカルボン 酸 (酢酸など) を連続的に製造する反応系 (液相反応系の酢酸製造 プラント、 図示せず) へ、 一酸化炭素製造プラントから一酸化炭素 を供給するための制御プロセスが示されており、 この制御プロセス では、 酢酸製造プラントでの変動要因 (特に圧力変動) に基づいて、 一酸化炭素製造プラントからの一酸化炭素の供給を制御している。 このプロセスでは、 力ルポニル化触媒系を含む液相加圧反応系にァ ルコールと加圧した一酸化炭素とがそれぞれ連続的に供給される。
このプロセスは、 気体供給源から一酸化炭素 (気体反応成分) を 供給するための供給ユニッ ト (気体供給系) 1と、 この供給ュニッ トからの一酸化炭素をコンプレッサ 8に供給するための一次供給ラ イン 2 2と、 加圧手段としてのコンプレッサ 8により加圧された一 酸化炭素を前記反応系 (図示せず) へ連続的に供給するための二次 供給ライン 2 3と、 この二次供給ラインから分岐して前記一次供給 ライン 2 2に接続され、 前記反応系の余剰の一酸化炭素を前記一次 供給ライン 2 2に合流させるための循環ライン 2 4とを備えている t 前記供給ユニット (気体供給系) 1は、 液体一酸化炭素 (液化一 酸化炭素) を貯留するための液化一酸化炭素の精製ユニット (精製 塔又は気体供給源) 2と、 この精製ユニッ トから供給する液化一酸 化炭素の流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御ュニッ ト (電磁弁な ど) 3と、 この流量制御ユニッ トにより制御された流量で液体一酸 化炭素から気化により気体一酸化炭素を生成させるためのガス生成 ユニッ ト (熱交換器など) 4とを備えており、 このガス生成ュニッ 卜で生成した一酸化炭素は、 前記一次供給ライン 2 2が接続され、 気体一酸化炭素を貯留するためのバッファタンク 6に供給される。 なお、 精製ュニット 2からバッファタンク 6に至る気化ライン 2 1 には、 前記第 2の流量制御ユニット 3と、 ガス生成ユニット 4と、 このガス生成ュニットにより生成したガスの流量を検出するための 流量計 (又は流量センサ) 5とが設けられており、 前記バッファ夕 ンク 6にはタンク内の圧力を検出するための第 2の圧力計 (又は圧 力センサ) 7が取り付けられている。
前記一次供給ライン 2 2からの一酸化炭素はコンプレッサ (ガス 加圧ュニット又は圧縮ュニット) 8により所定の圧力に加圧され、 二次供給ライン 2 3を通じて基準流量 Fで反応系へ連続的に供給さ れる。 なお、 反応系での一酸化炭素の消費流量 Fc は、 定常的に消 費される基準消費流量 Fes と、 変動要因 (温度変化など) により変 動する変動消費流量 AFcv との総和で規定される (Fc=Fcs + A Fcv)。 このような反応系 (酢酸製造プラント) で変動消費流量 cvが変動しても安定に反応させて操業するため、 二次供給ライン 2 3での基準流量 Fは、 反応系での基準消費流量 Fes と、 反応系での 変動消費流量 AFcvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 (Fl>AFcv) との 総和流量に設定されている (F = Fcs+Fl)。
さらに、 二次供給ライン 2 3からは循環ライン 24が分岐して前 記一次供給ライン 2 2に接続されており、 循環ライン 24の分岐部 よりも下流側 (酢酸製造プラント側) の二次供給ライン 2 3には、 加圧液相反応系の気相の圧力を検出するための第 1の圧力計 (又は 圧力センサ) 1 1が取り付けられている。 さらに、 循環ライン 24 には、 前記第 1の圧力計 1 1からの検出信号に応答して、 循環ライ ン 24での一酸化炭素の流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御ュニ ット (電磁弁など) 1 2が設けられている。 すなわち、 反応系の気 相の圧力は、 前記変動消費流量 AFcvとは逆比例関係にあり、 変動 消費流量 AFcv がマイナス (Fc<Fcs: C Oが余る) なら圧力が 上昇し、 変動消費流量 AFcv がプラス (Fc>Fcs : C Oが不足) なら圧力が低下する。 そこで、 反応系での反応を所定の圧力下で行 うため、 前記第 1の圧力計 1 1からの検出信号に応答して、 循環ラ イン 24の第 1の流量制御ユニッ ト (電磁弁など) 1 2を制御し、 反応系での余剰の一酸化炭素を、 循環ライン 24を通じて、 一次供 給ライン 2 2 (ひいては反応系) に循環している。 循環ライン 24 での循環流量 Fr は、 前記過剰流量 F1 と変動消費流量 AFcv に対 応する流量との差 (Fl— AFcv) で表すことができる。
なお、 前記二次供給ライン 2 3には、 二次供給ラインの圧力を検 出するための圧力計 (圧力センサ) 9と一酸化炭素の流量を検出す るための流量計 (又は流量センサ) 1 0が取り付けられている。 さ らに、 前記第 1の流量制御ュニッ ト 1 2よりも上流側の循環ライン 24には排出ライン 2 5が接続されており、 この排出ラインには、 非常時に対応するため、 前記二次供給ライン 2 3の圧力計 9による 検出信号に応答して、 ガスを放出させるための非常用バルブ又は電 磁弁 1 3が設けられている。 すなわち、 前記非常用電磁弁 1 3は定 常的には閉じられており、 二次供給ライン 2 3の圧力計 9による検 出信号が異常事態 (例えば、 圧力が異常に高くなつたとき) を示す 異常レベルに達したとき、 前記異常検出信号に応答して電磁弁 1 3 を開放し、 過剰なガスを排出ライン 2 5から放出する。
そして、 前記一次供給ライン 2 2では、 循環ライン 24での循環 流量に対応させて、 二次供給ライン 2 3での一酸化炭素の供給量を 基準流量 Fに保っため、 前記供給ュニッ ト 1からの一酸化炭素の流 量を制御する。 すなわち、 前記反応系の気相の圧力を検出するため の第 1の圧力計 (圧力センサ) 1 1からの検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流量制御ュニット 1 2を駆動して前記循環ライン 24の一酸化 炭素の流量を前記過剰量 F1 と変動消費流量 AFcvに対応する流量 との総循環流量 Fr (= F l-AFcv, F l>AFcv) に制御する。 す なわち、 反応系の圧力を基準圧力に維持するため、 反応系の気相の 基準圧力に対する圧力変動に対応させて、 第 1の流量制御ユニッ ト 1 2により循環ライン 24の開閉度をコントロールし、 循環ライン 24での基準循環流量 F1 を基準として、 一酸化炭素の循環量を循 環流量 Fr (= F l-AFcv, F l>AFcv) に制御する。
さらに、 反応系の気相の圧力変動は、 二次供給ライン 2 3, 循環 ライン 24を経て、 一次供給ライン 2 2及びバッファタンク 6にも 伝播する。 このことを利用して、 前記バッファタンク 7に取り付け られた第 2の圧力計 7からの検出信号に応答して、 供給ュニット 1 の第 2の流量制御ユニット (電磁弁など) 3を駆動して液化一酸化 炭素の流量を制御し、基準消費流量 Fes と前記変動消費流量 AFcv に対応する流量との総補給流量 Fsu で一酸化炭素を一次供給ライ ン 2 2から供給する (Fsu=Fcs + AFcv)。 すなわち、 二次供給ラ イン 2 3での基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭素の過不足分を一次供給 ライン 2 2からの一酸化炭素で調整し (又は補い)、一次供給ライン 2 2での補給流量 (Fsu=Fcs + AFcv) と循環ラインでの循環流 量 (Fr=Fl— AFcv) とを合流させて、 一酸化炭素を総流量 Fsu + F r (=Fcs+ Fl=F) として前記コンプレッサ 8に供給し、 二 次供給ライン 2 3での一酸化炭素流量を前記基準流量 Fに制御して いる。
そのため、 反応系での一酸化炭素 (気体反応成分) の消費量の変 動を、 気体供給系からの一酸化炭素 (気体反応成分) の供給量で相 殺又は吸収させることができ、 一酸化炭素の放出量をほぼゼロにし つつ、 反応を円滑に行うことができる。 従って、 一酸化炭素を反応 にほぼ 1 0 0 %の割合で利用でき、 酢酸を安定かつ連続的に製造で き、 工業的及び経済的に極めて有利である。 また、 コンプレッサ 8 への供給量をほぼ一定に保つことができ、 コンプレッサ 8への負荷 変動を軽減でき、 サージングが発生するのを有効に防止できる。 さ らに、 供給ユニット 1では、 気体供給源として液化一酸化炭素を用 いるため、 第 2の流量制御ユニット 3により制御対象 (液化一酸化 炭素) を所定の制御量で精度よくコントロールできる。 また、 ガス 状一酸化炭素の供給量の変動に比べて、 貯留容積をコンパクト化で きるとともに、 ガス状一酸化炭素よりも一酸化炭素消費量の変動△ Fcvを一酸化炭素精製ユニッ ト (精製塔) 2の僅かな液面変動 (又 は少量の抜き取り量) で吸収できるため、装置をコンパクト化でき、 大型の設備が不要である。
このような制御方法又は制御装置では、 反応系の気相の圧力を検 出する圧力計 1 1からの検出信号は、 第 1の制御ュニッ卜に与えら れる。 この制御ユニッ トは、 反応系の気相の基準圧力に関する基準 値 (閾値) を格納するメモリ回路 (又は設定回路) と、 このメモリ 回路の基準値 (閾値) と前記圧力計 1 1からの検出信号レベルとを 比較するための比較ユニッ ト (比較回路) と、 この比較ユニッ トに より検出信号レベルが基準値から外れたとき、 基準値と検出信号レ ベルとの偏差に基づいて、 一酸化炭素の流量に関する制御量を算出 するための演算ユニッ ト (演算回路) と、 この演算ユニットで算出 された制御量に基づいて、 前記循環ライン 2 4の第 1の流量制御ュ ニット 1 2を駆動するための駆動ユニット (駆動回路) とを備えて いる。
また、 バッファタンク 6の圧力を検出するための第 2の圧力計 7 からの検出信号は第 2の制御ユニットに与えられる。 この制御ュニ ットでは、一次供給ライン 2 2での基準圧力に関する基準値(閾値) を格納するメモリ回路 (又は設定回路) と、 このメモリ回路の基準 値 (閾値) と前記第 2の圧力計 7からの検出信号レベルとを比較す るための比較ユニット (比較回路) と、 この比較ユニッ トにより検 出信号レベルが基準値から外れたとき、 基準値と検出信号レベルと の偏差に基づいて、 一酸化炭素の補充流量に関する制御量を算出す るための演算ユニッ ト (演算回路) と、 この演算ユニットで算出さ れた制御量に基づいて、 気化ライン 2 1の前記第 2の流量制御ュニ ット 3を駆動するための駆動ュニッ ト (駆動回路) とを備えている。 そして、 図 2に示されるように、 スタート信号により制御ュニッ ト (又は制御装置) を駆動すると、 ステップ S 1において、 第 1の 圧力計 1 1からの検出信号とメモリ回路の基準圧力に関する基準値 (閾値) とに基づいて反応系の気相の圧力が変動したか否かが判別 され、 圧力が変動して検出信号レベルが基準値 (閾値) を外れると、 前記演算回路により算出された制御量に基づいて、 ステップ S 2で 第 1の流量制御ュニッ トが駆動され、 ステツプ S 3で駆動量が制御 量 (F r = F l— A F cv) に達したか否かが判別される。 また、 前記 ステツプ S 2で第 1の流量制御ュニットが駆動すると、 ステツプ S 4で第 2の圧力計 7からの検出信号とメモリ回路の基準圧力に関す る基準値 (閾値) とに基づいてバッファタンク 6の気相の圧力が変 動したか否かが判別され、 圧力が変動して検出信号レベルが基準値 (閾値) を外れると、 前記演算回路により算出された制御量に基づ いて、 ステップ S 5で第 2の流量制御ユニッ トが駆動され、 ステツ プ S 6で駆動量が制御量 (F su= F cs + A F cv) に達したか否かが 判別される。
ステップ S 3及びステップ S 6で駆動量が制御量に到達しない場 合には、 さらに駆動が継続される。 ステップ S 3及び S 6で駆動量 が制御量に到達すると、駆動制御を停止し、 ステップ S 7において、 操業を停止するか否か (すなわち、 制御装置による流量制御を終了 するか否か) が判断され、 流量制御を終了しない場合には、 前記ス テツプ S 1に戻って、 気相の圧力が変動したか否かが判別される。 ステップ S 7での流量制御の終了の要否は、 積算操業時間などの 時間に関する基準値、 流量計 1 0による積算流量などの流量に関す る基準値などを指標とし、 これらの基準値に達したか否かで判断し てもよい。
なお、 本発明において、 供給ラインは、 複数の供給ラインで構成 してもよく、 少なくとも 1つの供給ラインで気体反応成分の流量を コントロールしてもよい。 例えば、 供給ラインを、 反応系に基準消 費流量の気体反応成分を供給するためのラインと、 変動消費流量の 気体反応成分を供給するためのライン (変動消費量に対する専用の 供給ライン) とで構成してもよい。 また、 コンプレッサ (加圧手段) も直列及び Z又は並列に配置された複数のコンプレッサで構成して もよい。 さらに、 循環ラインも複数のラインが構成でき、 少なくと も 1つの循環ラインで流量をコントロールしてもよい。 また、 循環 ラインは、 反応器への気体反応成分の供給ライン (特に二次供給ラ イン)から分岐させてもよく、必要によりコンデンサなどを介して、 反応器に接続してもよい。
流量のコントロールは、 圧力変動と気体反応成分の消費量との間 に相関関係があることを利用して、 反応系での気相の圧力変動に基 づいて (又は関連して) 行うことができ、 前記循環ラインでの気体 反応成分の循環流量に対応させて、 前記気体供給系からの気体反応 成分の供給流量を制御し、 前記供給ラインを通じて気体反応成分を 所定の基準流量で反応系に供給すればよい。 より具体的には、 反応 系での気体反応成分の消費量の変動を、 気体供給系からの気体反応 成分の供給量で相殺又は吸収して、 気体反応成分の放出を実質的に ゼロとするため、 前記のように、 制御ユニット (又は制御装置) に より、 気体反応成分の変動消費量に対応させて、 循環ラインでの気 体反応成分の流量と、 供給ユニットから供給ラインへの気体反応成 分の流量とをそれぞれコントロールし、 供給ラインと循環ラインと で合流した気体反応成分を、 反応系での基準消費流量 F es と、 反応 系での変動消費流量 A F cvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規 定される基準流量 Fで、反応系に連続的に供給するのが有利である。 この基準流量 Fは、 前記のように、 基準消費流量 F esよりも過剰量 F 1 分だけ多い流量であり、 消費流量 F c は、 基準消費流量 F es 及 び変動消費流量 A F cv ( F l > A F cv) を伴って消費される。
なお、 流量の制御フローは上記の例に限定されず、 種々の制御フ ローが採用できる。 例えば、 ステップ S 2及びステツプ S 5での駆 動およびステップ S 3及びステップ S 6での判別は並行して行う必 要はなく、 例えば、 第 1の圧力計 1 1からの検出信号に基づいて第 1の流量制御ュニット 1 2を制御して循環ラインの循環流量を制御 するための制御フローと、 第 1の圧力計 1 1からの検出信号から独 立して、 第 2の圧力計 7からの検出信号に基づいて第 2の流量制御 ユニッ ト 3を制御して一次供給ラインでの流量を制御するための制 御フローとで構成してもよい。 これらの独立した制御系による流量 の制御は、 同時又は並行して制御してもよい。
また、 第 1の圧力計からの検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流量制御 ュニッ トを制御するとともに、第 1の圧力計の検出信号に応答して、 第 2の圧力計からの検出信号により圧力変動が生じたか否かを判別 又は比較検出して、 第 2の流量制御ュニッ トを制御してもよい。
さらに、 反応系の気相の圧力変動が前記バッファタンク 7にも伝 播し、 第 1の圧力計 1 1からの検出信号 (又は反応系の圧力変動) と、第 2の流量制御ュニッ ト 3による制御量との間に相関性がある。 そのため、 本発明では、 第 2の圧力計 7からの検出信号を利用する ことなく、 反応系の気相の圧力変動に関連して (すなわち、 第 1の 圧力計 1 1からの検出信号に関連して)、前記第 1の流量制御ュニッ ト 1 2と第 2の流量制御ュニッ 卜 3とを制御してもよい。すなわち、 流量のコントロールは、 少なくとも第 1の圧力センサで前記反応系 の気相の圧力を検出し、 この第 1の圧力センサからの検出信号に応 答して、 制御ュニットにより前記供給ライン及び循環ラインの流量 を制御することにより行ってもよい。 また、 第 1の圧力センサを利 用して前記供給ライン及び循環ラインの流量を制御する場合、 循環 ラインから供給ラインへの気体反応成分の到達時間などを考慮して, 第 2の流量制御ュニッ トによる制御は、 第 1の流量制御ュニッ 卜の 駆動から、 所定の時定数 (所定の時間遅れ) で駆動してもよい。 本発明の好ましい方法又は装置は、 反応系の気相の圧力を検出す るための第 1の圧力センサと、 前記循環ラインでの気体反応成分の 流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御ユニッ トと、 供給ラインの加 圧手段よりも上流側の気相 (循環ラインと連通した空間の気相、 例 えば、 供給ユニット又は一次供給ラインの気相) の圧力変動を検出 するための第 2の圧力センサと、 この第 2の圧力センサからの検出 信号に応答して、 前記一次供給ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制 御するための第 2の流量制御ユニットとを備えている。 さらに、 前 記第 1及び第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流 量制御ュニッ ト及び第 2の流量制御ュニッ トによる流量を制御する ための制御ユニットを備えている。 この制御ユニッ トは、 第 1の流 量制御ュニッ トを駆動して前記循環ラインの一酸化炭素の流量を前 記過剰量 F l と変動消費流量 A F cvに対応する流量との総循環流量 F r に制御するとともに、 第 2の流量制御ユニットを駆動して気体 供給系から一次供給ラインへの一酸化炭素の流量を前記基準消費流 量 F e s と前記変動消費流量 A F cv に対応する流量との総補給流量 F suに制御する。 このような制御ユニッ トを利用すると、 二次供給 ラインでの前記基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭素の過不足分を一次供 給ラインからの一酸化炭素で効率よく調整又は補給できる。
なお、 気体供給系の気相の圧力変動は、 気体供給源からの気体反 応成分を加圧手段に供給するための供給系 (特に前記バッファタン クから加圧手段に至る経路) で検出する場合が多く、 例えば、 前記 パッファタンクに限らず一次供給ラインの適所に取り付けた圧力計 により検出可能である。
なお、 気体供給源は、 液化ガスである必要はなく気化ガスであつ てもよいが、 液体 (又は液化反応成分) を利用すると、 制御量が容 量的に少なくて済むだけでなく、 液体であるため、 流量を精度よく 制御できる。 また、 ガス状一酸化炭素よりも貯留容積をコンパクト 化できるとともに、 少量の抜き取りで変動するガス消費量の補充に 対応できる。 すなわち、 一酸化炭素精製ユニット (精製塔) の僅か な液面変動でガス消費量の変動を吸収できるため、 大型の設備が不 要である。 そのため、 前記制御ユニッ トを利用すると、 圧力センサ からの検出信号に応答して、 前記第 2の流量制御ュニットによる液 化気体反応成分の流量 (ひいては精製塔での液面の高さ) を、 気化 した気体反応成分として補給流量 F suに精度よく制御し、二次供給 ラインでの基準流量 Fに対する過不足分の一酸化炭素を供給できる。 なお、 流量の制御には、 種々のフィードバック制御などのプロセ ス制御動作、 例えば、 基準流量からの流量の偏差に比例させて操作 量を制御する比例動作(P動作)、 流量の偏差を積分して操作量を制 御する積分動作( I動作)、流量の偏差の変化に応じて操作量を制御 する微分動作 (D動作)、 これらを組み合わせた動作 (例えば、 P I 動作, P D動作, P I D動作) などが例示できる。 例えば、 I動作 を利用して、 供給ライン及び循環ラインにおいて、 基準流量に対す る流量の偏差を所定時間毎に積分したり、 流量の偏差の積分量が所 定流量に達したとき、 各ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制御して もよい。
加圧反応系 (特に液相加圧反応系) での変動消費流量 A F cvは、 種々の変動要因、 例えば、 反応系の温度変動、 触媒量などにより大 きく変化する。 特に工業的な製造プラントでは、 若干の反応温度の 変化が気体反応成分 (一酸化炭素など) の大きな放出量となって表 れる。 このような反応系であっても、 本発明では、 気体反応成分の 放出量を実質的にゼロにしつつ、 工業的に有利に反応させることが できる。
本発明では、 供給ラインを通じて気体供給系から気体反応成分を 加圧反応系へ連続的に供給し、 循環ラインを通じて反応系での余剰 の気体反応成分を前記供給ラインにより反応系に循環する種々のプ 口セス、 例えば、 一酸化炭素を用いる力ルポニル化反応、 酸素ゃォ ゾンなどの気体状酸化剤を用いる酸化反応、水素還元反応などの他、 ガス状反応成分 (二酸化炭素、 酸化窒素、 酸化硫黄 (二酸化硫黄な ど)、ハロゲン又はハロゲン化物など) を用いる種々の反応に適用で きる。 反応成分は、 反応の種類に応じて選択でき、 特に制限されな レ 例えば、 力ルポニル化反応に利用される成分としては、 例えば、 一酸化炭素とアルコール類 (メタノールなどの C — アルキルァ ルコールなど) 又はその誘導体 (酢酸メチルなどのカルボン酸エス テル、 ヨウ化メチルなどのヨウ化( ェ-ェ。アルキル、 メチルエーテ ルなどのジ C i— eアルキルエーテルなど) との組合せ (酢酸などの カルボン酸又はその誘導体の製造)、 一酸化炭素とォレフィン類(ェ チレン、 プロピレン、 ブテン、 アレンなど) と水素との組合せ (ァ セトアルデヒドなどのアルデヒド類の製造)、一酸化炭素と前記ォレ フィン類と水との組合せ(カルボン酸の製造)、 一酸化炭素と前記ォ レフィン類と前記アルコールとの組合せ (カルボン酸エステルの製 造)、一酸化炭素とアルキン類(アセチレン、メチルアセチレンなど) と水との組合せ (アクリル酸、 メタクリル酸などの不飽和カルボン 酸の製造)、 一酸化炭素と前記アルキン類と前記アルコール(メタノ ールなど) との組合せ (アクリル酸メチル、 メ夕クリル酸メチルな どの不飽和カルボン酸エステルの製造)、一酸化炭素と前記アルコー ルと酸素との組合せ (炭酸ジエステルの製造) などが例示できる。 好ましい加圧反応系は、 一酸化炭素と、 液体反応成分としてアル コール、 好ましくは アルコール又はその誘導体 (例えば、 メ 夕ノール、 酢酸メチル、 ヨウ化メチル、 ジメチルエーテルなど) と を用いて、 カルボン酸又はその誘導体 (カルボン酸無水物など) を 得るための反応系、 特に、 力ルポニル化触媒系の存在下、 メタノー ルと一酸化炭素とを液相反応系で反応させ、 酢酸又はその誘導体を 生成させる液相加圧反応系である。
記力ルポニル化触媒としては、 カルポニル反応の種類に応じて 選択でき、 例えば、 ロジウム触媒、 イリジウム触媒、 白金触媒、 パ ラジウム触媒、 銅触媒、 ニッケル触媒、 コバルト触媒などの遷移金 属系触媒が例示できる。 力ルポニル化触媒は、 アルカリ金属ハラィ ド (例えば、 ヨウ化リチウムなど)、 八ロゲン化水素 (ヨウ化水素な ど)、 ハロゲン化アルキル (ヨウ化メチルなど) などの助触媒又は促 進剤と組み合わせて触媒系として使用してもよい。 また、 (メタ) ァ クリル酸又はそのエステルなどの製造では、 助触媒又は促進剤とし て、 アミン類 (鎖状又は環状第三級ァミン類など) や有機スルホン 酸類 (メタンスルホン酸又はその塩などのアルキルスルホン酸類な ど) などを使用してもよい。
一酸化炭素は、純粋なガスとして使用してもよく、不活性ガス(例 えば、 窒素、 ヘリウム、 二酸化炭素など) で稀釈して使用してもよ い。 反応系の一酸化炭素分圧は反応の種類などに応じて適当に選択 でき、 例えば、 アルコールの力ルポニル化反応によるカルボン酸の 製造では、 反応系の一酸化炭素の分圧は、 例えば、 2 0 0〜3 0 0 0 k P a、 好ましくは 40 0〜1 5 0 0 k P a、 さらに好ましくは 5 0 0〜: L O O O k P a程度である。
加圧反応系を構成するカルボニル化反応系において、 反応圧力及 び反応温度は反応の種類に応じて適当に選択でき、 例えば、 反応圧 力 1 0 0 0〜5 0 0 0 k P a (例えば、 1 5 0 0〜40 00 k P a) 程度、 反応温度 1 0 0〜2 5 0 °C (好ましくは 1 5 0〜2 2 0 °〇、 さらに好ましくは 1 7 0〜 2 0 0 ) 程度であってもよい。
本発明では、 反応系での気体反応成分の消費量の変動を、 気体供 給系からの気体反応成分の供給量で相殺又は吸収できるので、 一酸 化炭素などの気体反応成分を加圧反応系での反応に有効に利用でき る。 特に、 過剰量の気体反応成分が供給される加圧反応系であって も、 気体反応成分の放出を実質的にゼロに抑制でき、 経済的に有利 に気体反応成分を反応させることができる。 さらに、 反応系へ基準 流量よりも多くの気体反応成分を連続的に供給する工業的な加圧反 応系 (力ルポニル化反応系など) において、 反応系での一酸化炭素 消費量が変動しても、 気体反応成分を反応に有効に利用できる。 さ らには、 酢酸製造ブラントなどのカルボニル化プラントでの変動要 因に基づいて、 気体反応成分の製造プラントでの気体反応成分の供 給を制御でき、 力ルポニル化プラントと気体反応成分の製造プラン 卜とを一体的に管理できる。 産業上の利用可能性
本発明は、 気体反応成分を用いる種々の方法やブラント、例えば、 カルボニル化反応を利用したカルボン酸又はその誘導体を製造する 方法やプラントに好適に適用できる。 実施例
以下に、 実施例に基づいて本発明をより詳細に説明するが、 本発 明はこれらの実施例によって限定されるものではない。
比較例
図 1に対応する図 3のプロセスフローにおいて、 気化ライン 2 1 ( 1 )、循環ライン 2 4との合流部よりも下流側の一次供給ライン 2 2 (2 )、 循環ライン 24の分岐部よりも上流側の二次供給ライン 2 3 ( 3 )、循環ライン 24の分岐部よりも下流側の二次供給ライン 2 3 (4)、 排出ライン 2 5との接続部よりも上流側の循環ライン 2 4 (5)、 排出ライン 2 5 (6)、 および排出ライン 2 5との接続部よ りも下流側の循環ライン 24 ( 7) に、 それぞれ流量計と圧力計を 取り付け、 酢酸製造プロセスに供給するシステムでの流量および圧 力を測定した。
液相反応系での力ルポニル化反応は、 一次供給ラインから圧力 2 94 k P aで一酸化炭素を供給しつつ、 コンプレッサで加圧して一 酸化炭素を圧力 3 2 3 6 k P aで反応器へ供給するとともに、 メタ ノールを流量約 2 9 k g/Hで反応器へ供給し、 基準一酸化炭素分 圧 7 0 0〜 7 5 5 k P a, 基準圧力 2 7 5 5 k P a , 基準温度 1 8 7. 5°Cで行った。 反応は、 液相中のヨウ化ロジウム濃度 5 5 0〜 6 0 0 p pm、 ヨウ化メチル濃度 1 2〜 1 3重量%、 ヨウ化リチウ ム濃度 4. 7〜4. 9重量%、 酢酸メチル濃度 1. 5〜 1. 7重量%、 水分濃度 7. 8〜 8. 0重量%で行った。 また、 反応生成物の一部 を反応器から連続的に抜き取りつつ、 フラッシュ蒸留塔に供給し、 フラッシュ蒸留塔で分離された高沸点成分 (触媒などを含有) は、 反応器へ戻した。 さらに、 フラッシュ蒸留塔で分離された低沸点成 分を精留塔に供給し、 この精留塔で分離された低沸点成分 (ヨウ化 メチルなどを含有) も反応器へ戻した。
そして、 流量制御は、 一次供給ラインからの一酸化炭素流量を一 定 ( 2 1. 8 Nm3/H) にて供給し、 二次供給ラインの圧力をほ ぼ一定 ( 3 2 3 6 k P a) に維持するため、 反応系の気相の圧力変 動を圧力計 9で検出し、 この検出信号に応答して、 排出ライン 2 5 の流量制御バルブ 1 3を駆動するとともに、 流量計 1 0からの信号 に基づいて流量 2 3 Νπ^ΖΗに維持しながら、 過剰の一酸化炭素 を排出ライン 2 5から排出しつつ燃焼させた。
実施例
前記図 3に示すプロセスフローにおいて、 反応系の気相の圧力変 動を圧力計 1 1で検出し、 この検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流量制 御ュニッ ト 1 2を駆動して、 循環ラインでの循環流量を流量 (Fr = F l-AFcv) に制御し、バッファタンク 6の圧力センサ 7でコン プレッサ 8入口側の圧力変動を検出し、 この検出信号に応答して、 第 2の流量制御ュニッ ト 3を駆動して一次供給ラインからの一酸化 炭素の供給流量を流量 (Fsu= Fcs + AFcv) に制御することによ り、 反応器の気相の圧力変動に対応する量の一酸化炭素を補充する 以外、 比較例と同様の反応を行った。 なお、 コンプレッサへの負荷 変動を軽減するため、 循環ラインと一次供給ラインとで合流した一 酸化炭素の圧力はほぼ一定の圧力 2 94 k P aに設定した。 また、 二次供給ラインの圧力計 9により異常な圧力が検出されたとき、 排 出ライン 2 5の流量制御バルブ 1 3を駆動し、 過剰の一酸化炭素を 排出ライン 2 5から排出しつつ燃焼させた。
結果を表 1に示す。 なお、 一酸化炭素の流量については、 一酸化 炭素製造プラン卜の一次供給ラインから供給される一酸化炭素の流 量を 「 1 0 0」 として、 各ラインでの一酸化炭素流量を示す。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . 供給ラインを通じて気体供給系から気体反応成分を加圧反 応系へ連続的に供給し、 反応系での余剰の気体反応成分を循環ライ ンを通じて前記供給ラインにより反応系に循環する方法であって、 反応系での気相の圧力変動に基づいて、 前記循環ラインでの反応成 分の循環流量と、 前記気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供給流量と を制御し、 前記供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基準流量で 反応系に供給する制御方法。
2 . 供給ラインと循環ラインとで合流した気体反応成分を、 反 応系での基準消費流量 F es と、反応系での変動消費流量 A F cvより も過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規定される基準流量 Fで、 反応系 に連続的に供給する請求項 1記載の制御方法。
3 . 気体供給系の気体供給源が液体であり、 反応系での気体反 応成分の消費量の変動を、 気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供給量 で相殺又は吸収させる請求項 1記載の制御方法。
4 . 反応系の気相の圧力変動に基づいて、 循環ラインでの反応 成分の循環流量を制御するとともに、 気体供給系の気相の圧力変動 に基づいて、 気体供給系からの気体反応成分の供給流量を制御し、 供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基準流量で反応系に供給す る請求項 1記載の制御方法。
5 . 力ルポニル化触媒系を含む液相加圧反応系にアルコールを 連続的に供給する工程と、 一酸化炭素を一次供給ラインによりコン プレッサに供給する工程と、 前記コンプレッサで加圧された一酸化 炭素を基準流量 Fで二次供給ラインを通じて前記反応系に連続的に 供給する工程と、 前記二次供給ラインから分岐した循環ラインを通 じて反応系の余剰の一酸化炭素を前記一次供給ラインに合流させる 工程とを含み、 前記二次供給ラインを通じて、 一次供給ラインと循 環ラインとで合流した一酸化炭素を、 反応系での基準消費流量 F es と、 反応系での変動消費流量 A F cvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との 総和で規定される基準流量 Fで前記反応系に連続的に供給し、 前記 反応系の気相の圧力変動に応答して、 前記循環ラインの一酸化炭素 の流量を、 前記過剰量 F 1 と変動消費流量 A F cvに対応する流量と の総循環流量 F r に制御するとともに、 気体供給系の気相の圧力変 動に応答して、 気体供給系から一次供給ラインへの一酸化炭素の流 量を前記基準消費流量 F e s と前記変動消費流量 A F cv に対応する 流量との総補給流量 F s uに制御して、 二次供給ラインでの基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭素の過不足分を一次供給ラインからの一酸化炭 素で調整し、 前記反応系のカルボニル化反応によりカルボン酸を連 続的に生成させる請求項 1記載の制御方法。
6 . 反応系が、 一酸化炭素と — 4アルコール又はその誘導体と の反応によりカルボン酸又はその誘導体を生成させる加圧反応系で ある請求項 1記載の制御方法。
7 . 反応系が、 力ルポニル化触媒系の存在下、 メタノールと一酸 化炭素とを液相で反応させ、 酢酸又はその誘導体を生成させる液相 加圧反応系である請求項 1記載の制御方法。
8 . 気体反応成分を加圧反応系に供給するための供給ラインと、 この供給ラインに気体反応成分を供給するための供給ュニットと、 前記供給ラインに設けられ、 かつ供給ユニットからの気体反応成分 を加圧するための加圧手段と、 前記反応系での余剰の気体反応成分 を反応系に循環させるための循環ラインと、 前記反応系の気相の圧 力変動に基づいて、 前記循環ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制御 するとともに、 供給ュニットから供給ラインへの気体反応成分の供 給量を制御し、 前記供給ラインにより気体反応成分を所定の基準流 量で反応系に供給するための制御ュニッ トとを備えている制御装置 c
9 . 反応系の気相の圧力を検出するための第 1の圧力センサと、 この第 1の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 循環ラインでの 気体反応成分の流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御ュニッ卜と、 加圧手段よりも上流側の気相の圧力変動を検出するための第 2の圧 力センサと、 この第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 供 給ラインでの気体反応成分の流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御 ュニッ トとを備えている請求項 8記載の制御装置。
1 0 . —酸化炭素をコンプレッサに供給するための一次供給ラ インと、 前記コンプレッサで加圧された一酸化炭素を加圧反応系に 連続的に供給するための二次供給ラインと、 この二次供給ラインか ら分岐し、 かつ前記反応系での余剰の一酸化炭素を前記一次供給ラ インに合流させるための循環ラインとを備えており、 前記二次供給 ラインを通じて、 一次供給ラインと循環ラインとで合流した一酸化 炭素を、 反応系での基準消費流量 F es と、 反応系での変動消費流量 △ F cvよりも過剰な過剰流量 F 1 との総和で規定される基準流量 F で前記反応系に連続的に供給する装置であって、 前記反応系の気相 の圧力を検出するための第 1の圧力センサと、 前記循環ラインでの 一酸化炭素の流量を制御するための第 1の流量制御ユニットと、 一 次供給ラインでの圧力を検出可能な第 2の圧力センサと、 前記一次 供給ラインでの一酸化炭素の流量を制御するための第 2の流量制御 ユニッ トと、 前記第 1の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 第 1の流量制御ュニットを駆動して前記循環ラインの一酸化炭素の流 量を前記過剰量 F 1 と変動消費流量 A F cvに対応する流量との総循 環流量 F rに制御し、第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、 第 2の流量制御ュニッ卜を駆動して気体供給系から一次供給ライン への一酸化炭素の流量を前記基準消費流量 F es と前記変動消費流 量 A F cvに対応する流量との総補給流量 F suに制御して、二次供給 ラインでの前記基準流量 Fに対する一酸化炭素の過不足分を一次供 給ラインからの一酸化炭素で調整するための制御ュニットとを備え ている請求項 8記載の制御装置。
1 1 . 一次供給ラインに一酸化炭素を供給するための供給ュニ ットが、 液体一酸化炭素を貯留する精製ユニットと、 この精製ュニ ットから供給する液体一酸化炭素の流量を制御するための第 2の流 量制御ュニッ卜と、 この流量制御ュニットにより制御された流量で 液体一酸化炭素から気体一酸化炭素を生成させるためのガス生成ュ ニットと、 このガス生成ュニッ トで生成した気体一酸化炭素を貯留 するためのバッファタンクと、 このバッファタンク又は一次供給ラ ィンの圧力変動を検出するための第 2の圧力センサとを備えており、 この第 2の圧力センサからの検出信号に応答して、制御ュニッ卜が、 前記第 2の流量制御ュニッ トによる液化一酸化炭素の流量を制御し、 二次供給ラインでの基準流量 Fに対する過不足分の一酸化炭素を調 整する請求項 8記載の制御装置。
1 2 . —酸化炭素の製造プラントで製造された一酸化炭素を力 ルポニル化プラントの加圧力ルポニル化反応系に供給するための装 置であって、 力ルポニル化プラントでの反応系の圧力変動に基づい て一酸化炭素の製造ブラントからの一酸化炭素の供給量を制御する 請求項 1 0又は 1 1記載の制御装置。
