Abstract

Eine optische Schaltstation umfasst: eine erste Mehrzahl von Eingangskanälen (I1, …, IM) für Durchgangsdatenverkehr, eine zweite Mehrzahl von Ausgangskanälen (O1,…,OM) für Durchgangsdatenverkehr wenigstens eine erste optische Schaltmatrix (S1, …,SN), die eine erste Gruppe von Eingangsanschlüssen (il, i2, …, iM), die mit Eingangskanälen (I1, …, iM), die mit Eingangskanälen (I1, …, IM) der Schaltstation verbundenen sind, und eine erste Gruppe von Ausgangsanschlüssen (o1, o2, …, oM), die mit Ausgangskanälen (01, …, OM) der Schaltstation verbundenen sind, aufweist, zum Verbinden von Eingangs- und Ausgangskanälen untereinander, und eine Gruppe von einer oder mehreren Signalformereinheiten (T1, …, TQ), Mittel (S') zum Verbinden einer zweiten Gruppe von Ausgangsanschlüssen (o1, o2, …, oM;) mit jeweils einem Eingang einer Signalformereinheit der Gruppe und Mittel (S') zum Verbinden einer zweiten Gruppe (i'1, …, i'P) von Eingangsanschlüssen mit jeweils einem Ausgang einer dieser Signalformereinheiten.
