Abstract

 導電性粒子が接着剤樹脂組成物層中に分散された異方性導電フィルム。接着剤樹脂組成物は、ポリビニルアルコールをアセタール化して得られるポリアセタール化樹脂及び/又はこのポリアセタール化樹脂の側鎖に脂肪族不飽和基を導入してなる変性ポリアセタール化樹脂よりなるベース樹脂と、メラミン系樹脂、リン酸(メタ)アクリレート、及びアルキド樹脂とを含む熱硬化性樹脂組成物よりなる。ITOとSiOXとの両方に対して高い接着力を示す異方性導電フィルムが提供される。

Description

明細書 異方性導電フィルム 技術分野
本発明は、 厚み方向にのみ導電性を有する異方性導電フィルムに関する。 背景技術
異方性導電フィルムは、 導電性粒子が分散された接着剤樹脂組成物を成膜した ものであり、 厚さ方向に加圧することにより厚さ方向に導電性が付与される。 異 , 方性導電フィルムは、 例えば、 相対峙する回路間に介装し、 回路間を加圧及び加 熱することにより回路間を導電性粒子を介して接続すると共に、 これら回路間を 接着固定する用途に使用される。
異方性導電フィルムは、 F P C (フレキシブルプリント基板) や T A B (テー プオートメ一テッドボンディング) と、 液晶パネルのガラス基板上に形成された I T O (スズインジウム酸化物) 端子とを接続する場合に使用されている。 異方 性導電フィルムは、 種々の端子間に異方性導電膜を形成し、 それにより該端子間 を接着すると共に電気的に接合する場合にも使用されている。
従来の異方性導電フィルムは、 一般にエポキシ系又はフヱノール系樹脂と硬化 剤とを主成分とする接着剤に導電性粒子を分散させたもので構成されている。 中 でも使用上の便宜等の点から接着剤としては 1液型の熱硬化型のものが主流にな つている。 異方性導電フィルムには、 高温高湿下でも安定した接続信頼性が得ら れるようにするため、 種々の方法により接着強度の強化が図られている。 従来の エポキシ系又はフエノール系樹脂を用いた異方性導電フィルムは、接着力が低く、 作業性が悪く、 耐湿耐熱性に劣る。
特開平 1 0— 3 3 8 8 6 0号は、 ポリビュルアルコールをァセタール化して得 られるポリアセタール化樹脂を主成分とする熱又は光硬化性接着剤からなる異方 性導電フィルムを開示する。 特開平 1 ◦一 3 3 8 8 4 4号は、 ァクリル系モノマ 一及び/又はメタクリル系モノマーを重合して得られる (メタ) アクリル系樹脂 を主成分とする熱又は光硬化性接着剤からなる異方性導電フイルムを開示する。 異方性導電フィルムを、 F P Cと液晶パネルの基板上に形成された I TO端子 との接続に使用する場合、 異方性導電フィルムは、 I TOとシリカ (S i Ox) との両方に対して高い接着力を有することが要求される。 この理由は次の通りで ある。
液晶パネルの I TO端子は、 ガラス基板上に I τ〇を蒸着、 スパッタリング、 イオンプレーティング、 CVD法等により付着させて成膜されたものである。 基 板の軽量化や薄肉化のために、 基板の構成材料としてはポリイミ ドゃ PET (ポ リエチレンテレフタレート) が用いられている。
I TOをポリイミ ドゃ P ET等の樹脂基板に付着性良く成膜するために、 I T Oの成膜に先立ち、 基板表面全体を S i Ox (S i 02)膜で被覆し、 この S i O x被覆膜上に I TO膜を成膜し、 その後、 エッチング等により端子部分の I TO のみを残して他の部分の I TOを除去することにより、 I TO端子が形成される。 従って、 基板表面は S i〇x膜上に I TO端子が形成されたものとなる。 このよ うな基板の接着に用いられる異方性導電フィルムには、 I TOと S i oxとの両 方に高い接着力を発揮することが要求される。
従来の異方性導電フィルムでは、 I TOと S i oxとの両方に対して高い接着 力を得ることができず、 その改良が望まれている。 発明の開示
本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 導電性粒子が分散された接着剤樹脂組成物を 成膜してなる異方性導電フィルムにおいて、 該接着剤樹脂組成物が、 ポリビニル アルコールをァセタール化して得られるポリアセタール化樹脂及び/又はこのポ リァセタール化樹脂の側鎖に脂肪族不飽和基を導入してなる変性ポリアセタール 化樹脂よりなるペース樹脂と、 メラミン系樹脂、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレート及 びアルキド樹脂とを含む熱硬化性又は光硬化性樹脂組成物であることを特徴とす るものである。 ' 詳細な説明 本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 I T O及び S i o xに対して高い接着力を有 する。
メラミン系樹脂は、 樹脂基材に対する異方性導電フィルムの密着性と、 ι τ ο 及び S i o xに対する接着性を高める。 メラミン系樹脂、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリ レート及ぴアルキド樹脂を含有する異方性導電フィルムは、 著しく高い接着性を 有する。 リン酸 (メタ) ァクリレートは、 異方性導電フィルムの S i o xへの接 着性を著しく向上させる。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 更に下記の特長を有する。
1 ) 耐湿耐熱性に優れ、 高温高湿下で長時間保持した後においても、 異方性導 電フィルムの特性を有効に発揮し、 耐久性に優れている。
2 ) リペア性が良好である。
3 ) 透明性が良好である。
4 ) 従来の異方性導電フィルムに比べ、 安定して高い接着性を発揮する。
5 ) 透明なポリマーを原料としたフィルムとすることにより、 電極位置決めの 際の光透過性がよく、 作業性が良好となる。
6 ) エポキシ系接着剤等を用いた従来の異方性導電フィルムは、 硬化接着のた めに 1 5 0 °C以上の加熱が必要であつたが、 本発明の異方性導電フィルムでは、
1 3 0 °C以下、 特に 1 0 0 °C以下での硬化接着も可能である。 本発明の異方性導 電フィルムを U V硬化型とした場合には、 更に低温での硬化接着も可能である。
7 ) エポキシ系、 又はフエノール系の接着剤を用いた従来の異方性導電フィル ムは、 粘着性がないために、 フィルムを電極に粘着力で仮止めしにくく、 このた めにフィルムが剥がれ易く、 作業性が悪い。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 仮 止め時の粘着力が高いため、 作業性が良好である。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムの接着樹脂組成物のベース樹脂は、 ポリビニルァ ルコールをァセタール化して得られるポリァセタール化樹脂及びノ又はこのポリ ァセタール化樹脂の側鎖に脂肪族不飽和基を導入してなる変性ポリアセタール化 樹脂である。
ポリアセタール化樹脂としては、 ァセタール基の割合が 3 0モル%以上である ものが好ましい。 ァセタール基の割合が 3 0モル%より少ないと耐湿性が悪くな る場合がある。 ポリアセタール化樹脂としては、 ポリビュルホルマール、 ポリビ ニルプチラール等が挙げられる。 ポリアセタール化樹脂としては、 特にはポリビ ニルプチラールが好ましい。 ポリアセタール化樹脂としては、 市販品を用いるこ とができる。 ポリアセタール化樹脂としては、 例えば電気化学工業社製 「デン力
P V B 3 0 0 0— 1」 「デン力 P V B 2 0 0 0— L」 などを用いることができる。 変性ポリアセタール化樹脂としても、 変性ポリビエルプチラールが好ましい。 ポリビュルプチラール樹脂は、 下記式 (1 ) に示すように、 ビニルプチラール 単位 A、 ビニルアルコール単位 B及ぴ酢酸ビュル単位 Cから構成されている。 脂 肪族不飽和基はこれら単位 A, B, Cのいずれの側鎖に導入されていてもよい。 脂肪族不飽和基は、 ポリ ビュルアルコール単位 Bの側鎖に導入されているものが 好ましい。 脂肪族不飽和基としては、 ビニル基、 ァリル基、 メタアクリル基、 ァ クリル基等が挙げられる。

ポリビュルアルコール単位 Bの側鎖への脂肪族不飽和基 ΐの導入は、 該側鎖水酸 基を酸変性することによって行っても良い。 酸変性に用いる酸としては、 アタリ ル酸、 メタクリル酸、 ステアリル酸、 マレイン酸、 フタル酸などが挙げられる。 酸変性により、 下記式 (2 ) に示すように脂肪族不飽和結合を導入することがで きる。

O 式中、 Rは水素原子又はアルキル基を示す。 R ' はアルケニル基等の脂肪族不 飽和基又はこれを含有する基を示す。
式 (1 ) に示されるポリビエルプチラール樹脂において、 ビニルアルコール単 位 Bは好ましくは 3〜 7 0モル0 /0、 より好ましくは 5〜 5 0モル0 /。、 更に好まし くは 5〜3 0モル0 /0である。 ポリビニルプチラール樹脂中のビュルアルコール単 位 B.が 3モル%より少ないと酸変性の反応性が悪い場合がある。 ポリビニルプチ ラール樹脂中のビニルアルコール単位 Bが 7 0モル%より多いと耐熱性、 耐湿性 が劣る場合がある。
異方性導電フィルムの接着性の向上のために、 接着剤樹脂組成物にメラミン系 樹脂と、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレートと、 アルキド樹脂とを配合する。
メラミン系樹脂としては、 例えば、 メラミン樹脂、 ィソプチル化メラミン樹脂、 n一プチル化メラミン樹脂等のプチル化メラミン樹脂、 メチル化メラミン樹脂、 等の 1種又は 2種以上が挙げられる。 メラミン系樹脂は、 前記ベース樹脂 1 0 0 重量部に対して 1〜2 0 0重量部、特に 1〜1 0 0重量部配合するのが好ましい。 メラミン系樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 1重量部未満では、 十分な接着性の改善効果が得られない。 メラミン系樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 2 0 0重量部を超えると導通信頼性が悪化する。
リン酸 (メタ) アタリレートとしては、 リン酸ァクリ レート及び/又はリン酸 メタタリ レートが用いられる。 (メタ) アタリ レートとは、 アタリレートとメタク リレートとの総称である。 リン酸ァクリ レート、 リン酸メタクリレートとしては、 例えば、 アシッ ドホスホォキシェチル (メタ) ァク リ レート、 アシッ ドホスホォ キシプロピル (メタ) アタ リ レート、 2—メタク リ ロイ口キシェチノレアシッ ドホ スフヱート、 ジフエニノレー 2—メタタリ ロイノレォキシェチノレホスフエ一トなどの 1種又は 2種以上が挙げられる。 リン酸化合物は、 前記ベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部 に対して 0 . 1〜1 0重量部、 特に0 . 5〜2重量部配合するのが好ましい。 こ のリン酸化合物の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 0 . 1重量部未満で は、 十分な接着性の改善効果が得られない。 リン酸化合物の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 1 0重量部を超えると導通信頼性が悪化する。
アルキド樹脂としては、 純粋アルキド樹脂、 変性アルキド樹脂のいずれでも良 いが、 オイルフリー、 或いは短油性ないし中油性のものが好ましい。 アルキド樹 脂は、 前記ベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 0 . 0 1〜1 0重量部、 特に 0 . 5 〜 5重量部配合するのが好ましい。 アルキド樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重 量部に対して 0 . 0 1重量部未満ではメラミン系樹脂との併用による十分な接着 性の向上効果が得られない。 アルキド樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に 対して 1 0重量部を超えると導電信頼性が悪化する。
メラミン系樹脂と、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレートと、 アルキド樹脂との併用に よる優れた接着性の向上効果を得るために、 メラミン系樹脂と、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレートと、 アルキド樹脂との配合比をメラミン系樹脂: リン酸 (メタ) ァ クリレート :アルキド樹脂 = 1 : 0 . 0 1〜 1 0 : 0 . 0 1〜: L 0 (重量比) と するのが好ましい。
本発明に係る樹脂組成物には、 接着層への気泡の混入を防止してより一層高い 導電性と接着力を確保するために尿素系樹脂を配合することが好ましい。 尿素系 樹脂としては、 尿素樹脂、 ブチル化尿素系樹脂等を用いることができる。 同様の 目的で、 本発明に係る樹脂組成物には、 フエノール樹脂、 プチル化べンゾグアナ ミン榭脂、 エポキシ樹脂等を配合しても良い。
気泡混入防止のための、 尿素系樹脂等の樹脂は、 ベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対 して 0 . 0 1〜 1 0重量部、 特に 0 . 5〜5重量部とするのが好ましい。 気泡混 入防止のための樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 0 . 0 1重量部 未満では、 十分な気泡混入防止効果を得ることができない。 気泡混入防止のため の樹脂の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 1 0重量部を超えると導通信 頼性が悪化する。
本発明においては、 異方性導電フィルムの物性 (機械的強度、 接着性、 光学的 特性、 耐熱性、 耐湿性、 耐候性、 架橋速度等) の改良や調節のために、 樹脂組成 物にアタリロキシ基、メタタリ口キシ基又はエポキシ基を有する反応性化合物(モ ノマー) を配合しても良い。 この反応性化合物としては、 アクリル酸又はメタク リル酸誘導体、例えばそのエステル及びアミ ドが最も一般的である。 (メタ)ァク リル酸エステルのエステル残基としてはメチル、 ェチル、 ドデシル、 ステアリル、 ラウリルのようなアルキル基や、シクロへキシル基、テトラヒ ドロフルフリル基、 アミノエチル基、 2—ヒ ドロキシェチル基、 3—ヒ ドロキシプロピル基、 3—ク ロロ一 2—ヒ ドロキシプロピル基等が挙げられる。 (メタ)アクリル酸エステルは、 (メタ) アクリル酸と、 エチレングリコール、 トリエチレングリコール、 ポリプ ロピレングリコール、 ポリエチレングリコ一ノレ、 トリメチローノレプロ/ ン、 ペン タエリスリ トール等の多官能アルコールとのエステルであっても良い。 (メタ)ァ クリル酸アミ ドとしては、 ダイアセトンアクリルアミ ドが挙げられる。 多官能架 橋助剤としての (メタ) アクリル酸エステルとしては、 トリメチロールプロパン、 ペンタエリスリ トール、 グリセリン等のアクリル酸又はメタクリル酸エステル等 が挙げられる。 エポキシ基を含有する反応性化合物としては、 トリグリシジルト リス (2—ヒ ドロキシェチル) イソシァヌレート、 ネオペンチルグリコールジグ リシジノレエーテノレ、 1 , 6一へキサンジオールジグリシジノレエーテル、 ァリルグ リシジルエーテノレ、 2一ェチルへキシノレグリシジ /レエーテノレ、 フエニノレグリシジ ノレ ーテノレ、 フエノーノレ ( E 0 ) 5グリシジルエーテノレ、 p— t—プチノレフエ二 ルグリシジルエーテル、 アジピン酸ジグリシジルエステル、 フタル酸ジグリシジ ルエステル、 グリシジルメタクリレート、 プチルグリシジルエーテル等が挙げら れる。 反応性化合物としては、 エポキシ基を含有するポリマーをァロイ化した化 合物であっても良い。
これらの反応性化合物はその 1種が、 或いは 2種以上の混合物として、 前記べ ース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対し、 通常 0 . 5〜8 0重量部、 好ましくは 0 . 5〜7 0重量部配合される。 反応性化合物の配合量がベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して 8 0重量部を超えると接着剤の調製時の作業性や成膜性を低下させることがある。 樹脂組成物の熱硬化のために、 接着剤樹脂組成物には硬化剤として有機過酸化 物が配合される。 有機過酸化物としては、 7 0 °C以上の温度で分解してラジカル を発生するものであればいずれも使用可能である。 有機過酸化物としては、 半減 期 1 0時間の分解温度が 5 0 °C以上のものが好ましい。 有機過酸化物は、 成膜温 度、 調製条件、 硬化 (貼り合わせ) 温度、 被着体の耐熱性、 貯蔵安定性を考慮し て選択、 使用される。
有機過酸化物としては、 例えば次のようなものが挙げられる。 2 , 5—ジメチ ノレへキサン一 2 , 5—ジハイ ドロパーォキサイ ド、 2 , 5ージメチルー 2 , 5一 ジ ( t一ブチルパーォキシ) へキシン 3、 ジー t一ブチルパーォキサイド、 t - ブチルクミルパーオキサイ ド、 2 , 5—ジメチルー 2 , 5—ジ (t一ブチルパー 才キシ) へキサン、 ジクミルパーォキサイ ド、 a , a ' —ビス ( t一プチルパー ォキシイソプロピノレ) ベンゼン、 n—ブチノレー 4 , 4 ' —ビス ( t一プチノレパー ォキシ) バレレート、 1 , 1一ビス ( t _ブチルパーォキシ) シクロへキサン、 1 , 1一ビス (t一ブチルパーォキシ) 一 3 , 3, 5—トリメチルシクロへキサ ン、 t一プチ^/パーォキシベンゾエート、 ベンゾイノレハ。一オキサイ ド、 tーブチ ルパーォキシアセテート、 メチルェチルケトンパーオキサイ ド、 2 , 5 _ジメチ ルへキシルー 2 , 5—ビスパーォキシベンゾエート、 ブチルハイ ド口パーォキサ イ ド、 p—メンタンノヽイドロノ一オキサイド、 p—クロ口べンゾィノレパーォキサ イ ド、 ヒ ドロキシヘプチルパーオキサイ ド、 クロロへキサノンパーォキサイ ド、 オタタノィルパーオキサイ ド、 デカノィルパ一ォキサイ ド、 ラウロイルパーォキ サイ ド、 クミルパーォキシォク トエート、サクシニックァシッドパーォキサイ ド、 ァセチルパーォキサイ ド、 t一ブチルパーォキシ( 2—ェチルへキサノエ一ト)、 m—トルオイルパーオキサイ ド、 t一プチノレパーォキシイソプチレート、 2, 4 ージク口口べンゾィノレパーォキサイ ド等。
有機過酸化物は 1種を単独で用いても 2種以上を併用しても良い。
有機過酸化物はベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して好ましくは 0 . 1〜1 0重量 部配合される。
樹脂組成物の光硬化のために、 接着剤樹脂組成物には光によってラジカルを発 生する光増感剤が配合される。 光増感剤 (光重合開始剤) としては、 ラジカル光 重合開始剤が好適に用いられる。 ラジカル光重合開始剤のうち、 水素引き抜き型 開始剤としては、 ベンゾフエノン、 o—ベンゾィル安息香酸メチル、 4一べンゾ ィルー 4 ' ーメチノレジフエニノレサルフアイ ド、 イソプロピノレチォキサントン、 ジ ェチルチオキサントン、 4— (ジェチルァミノ) 安息香酸ェチル等が挙げられる。 ラジカル光重合開始剤のうち、 分子内開裂型開始剤としては、 次のようなものが 拳げられる。 ベンゾインエーテル、 ベンゾィルプロピノレエーテノレ、 ベンジノレジメ チルケタール、 一ヒ ドロキシアルキルフエノン型開始剤としての 2—ヒ 'ドロキ シー 2—メチノレー 1一フエ二ノレプロノ ン一 1一オン、 1 _ヒ ドロキシシク口へキ シルフヱ二ルケトン、 アルキルフエニノレグリォキシレート、 ジェトキシァセトフ ェノン。 α—アミノアルキルフエノン型としての 2—メチルー 1一 [ 4一 (メチル チォ) フエ二ノレ]一 2—モノレフォリ ノプロパノン一 1、 2—ペンジノレー 2—ジメチ /レアミノー 1一 (4一モノレフオリノフエ-ル) ブタノン一. 1。 ァシルフォスフィ ンォキサイ ド等。
光増感剤は 1種を単独で用いても 2種以上を併用しても良い。
光増感剤はベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対して好ましくは 0 . 1〜1 0重量部配 合される。
本発明に係る樹脂組成物には、 接着促進剤としてシランカツプリング剤を添加 しても良い。 シランカップリング剤としては、 ビュルトリエトキシシラン、 ビニ ノレトリス ( —メ トキシエトキシ) シラン、 γ—メタクリロキシプロピ^/トリメ トキシシラン、 ビュルトリァセトキシシラン、 γ—グリシドキシプロビルトリメ トキシシラン、 γ—グリシドキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン、 β一 ( 3 , 4一 エポキシシク口べキシル)ェチルトリメ トキシシラン、 ビュルトリクロロシラン、 —メルカプトプロピルトリメ トキシシラン、 γ—ァミノプロピルトリエトキシ シラン、 Ν - β ~ (ァミノエチル) 一 γ—ァミノプロピルトリメ トキシシラン等 の 1種又は 2種以上の混合物が用いられる。
シランカップリング剤の添加量は、 ベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対し通常 0 . 0 1〜 5重量部である。 ·
本発明に係る樹脂組成物には、 加工性や貼り合わせ性等の向上の目的で炭化水 素樹脂を添加しても良い。 炭化水素樹脂は、 天然樹脂系、 合成樹脂系のいずれも 用いることができる。 天然樹脂系炭化水素樹脂としては、 ロジン、 ロジン誘導体、 テルペン系樹脂が挙げられる。 ロジンとしてはガム系樹脂、 トール油系樹脂、 ゥ ッド系樹脂を用いることができる。 ロジン誘導体としてはロジンをそれぞれ水素 化、 不均一化、 重合、 エステル化、 金属塩化したものを用いることができる。 テ ルペン系樹脂としては、 α—ビネン、 一ピネン等のテルペン系樹脂、 テルペン フエノール樹脂を用いることができる。 その他の天然樹脂としてダンマル、 コバ ル、 シェラックを用いてもよい。 合成樹脂系炭化水素樹脂としては石油系樹脂、 フエノール系樹脂、 キシレン系樹脂が挙げられる。 石油系樹脂としては脂肪族系 石油樹脂、 芳香族系石油樹脂、 脂環族系石油樹脂、 共重合系石油樹脂、 水素化石 油樹脂、 純モノマー系石油樹脂、 クマロンインデン樹脂を用いることができる。 フエノール系樹脂としてはアルキルフエノール樹脂、 変性フエノール樹脂を用い ることができる。 キシレン系樹脂としてはキシレン樹脂、 変性キシレン樹脂を用 いることができる。
炭化水素樹脂の添加量は特に制限されないが、 ベース樹脂 1 0 0重量部に対し て 1〜2 0 0重量部が好ましく、 更に好ましくは 5〜 1 5 0重量部である。
本癸明に係る樹脂組成物には、 老化防止剤、 紫外線吸収剤、 染料、 加工助剤等 を本発明の目的に支障をきたさない範囲で配合してもよい。
導電性粒子としては、 電気的に良好な導体であれば良く、 種々のものを使用す ることができる。 例えば、 銅、 銀、 ニッケル等の金属又は合金粉末、 このような 金属又は合金で被覆された樹脂、 又はこのような金属又は合金で被覆されたセラ ミック粉体等を使用することができる。
導電性粒子の形状については特に制限はなく、 りん片状、 樹枝状、 '粒状、 ペレ ット状等の任意の形状であって良い。
導電性粒子は、 その弾性率が 1 . 0 X 1 0 7 ~ 1 . 0 X 1 0 1 0 P aであるもの が好ましい。'これは次の理由による。 プラスチックフィルムを基材とする液晶フ イルムなどの被接着体の接続のために異方性導電フィルムを使用する場合、 導電 性粒子として弾性率の高いものを用いると、 被接着体にクラックが生じるなどの 破壌や圧着後の粒子の弾性変形回復によるスプリングパックなどが発生し、 安定 した導通性能を得ることができない恐れがある。 上記弾性率範囲の導電性粒子を 用いることにより、 被接着体の破壊を防止し、 圧着後の粒子の弾性変形回復によ るスプリングパックの発生を抑制し、 導電性粒子の接触面積を広くすることが可 能になって、 より安定した信頼性の高い導通性能を得ることができる。 導電性粒 子の弾性率が 1 . 0 X 1 0 7 P aより小さいと、 粒子自身の損傷が生じ、 導通特性 が低下する場合がある。 導電性粒子の弾性率が 1 . O X I O p aより大きいと、 スプリングバックの発生が生じる恐れがある。 導電性粒子としては、 上記範囲の 弾性率を有するプラスチック粒子の表面を前述の金属又は合金で被覆したもので あっても良い。 導電性粒子の配合量は、 前記ベース樹脂に対して◦ . 1 〜 1 5容量%でぁるこ とが好ましい。
導電性粒子の平均粒径は◦. 1 〜 Ι Ο Ο μ mであることが好ましい。
導電性粒子の配合量及び粒径が上記範囲であると、 隣接した回路間で導電性粒 子が凝縮し、 短絡し難くなり、 良好な導電性を得ることができるようになる。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 導電性粒子を接着剤樹脂組成物中に分散させ てなるものである。 導電性粒子を含む接着剤樹脂組成物は、 メルトインデックス (M F R ) 力 S 1 〜 3 0 0 0、 特に 1 〜 : L 0 0 0、 とりわけ 1 〜 8 0 0であること が好ましい。 導電性粒子を含む接着剤樹脂組成物は、 7 0 °Cにおける流動性が 1 0 5 P a · s以下であることが好ましい。 導電性粒子を含む接着剤樹脂組成物は、 このような M F R及び流動性が得られるように配合を選定することが望ましい。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 例えば次のようにして製造される。 接着剤樹 脂組成物と、 導電性粒子とを所定の配合で均一に混合し、 押出機、 ロール等で混 練した後、 カレンダーロール、 Tダイ押出、 インフレーション等の成膜法により 所定の形状に成膜する。 接着剤樹脂組成物と導電性粒子を溶媒に溶解ないし分散 させ、 セパレーターの表面に塗付した後、 溶媒を蒸発させて成膜する。 成膜に際 しては、 ブロッキング防止、 被着体との圧着を容易にするため等の目的で、 得ら れるフィルムにエンボス加工を施してもよい。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムによって被着体同士を接着するには、 例えば、 熱 プレスによる貼り合わせ法や、 押出機、 カレンダーによる直接ラミネート法、 フ イルムラミネーターによる加熱圧着法等の各種の手法を用いることができる。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムの硬化条件は次の通りである。 熱硬化の場合は、 用いる有機過酸化物の種類に依存するが、 通常7 0 〜 1 7 0で、 好ましくは 7 0 〜 1 5 0 °Cで、 通常 1 0秒〜 1 2 0分、 好ましくは 2 0秒〜 6 0分である。
光硬化の場合に用いる光源としては、 紫外〜可視領域に発光する多くの光源が 探用できる。 光源としては、 例えば超高圧、 高圧、 低圧水銀灯、 ケミカルランプ、 キセノンランプ、 ノ、口ゲンランプ、 マーキュリーノヽロゲンランプ、 カーボンァー ク灯、 白熱灯、 レーザー光等が挙げられる。 照射時間は、 ランプの種類、 光源の 強さによって一概には決められないが、 数十秒〜数十分程度である。 硬化促進の ために、 異方性導電フィルムと被着体との積層体を 40〜1 20°Cに加温し、 そ の後積層体に紫外線を照射しても良い。
接着時には、 接着方向に 1〜4MP a特に 2〜3MP a程度の圧力を積層体に 加えることが好ましい。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 フィルム厚さ方向に 10 Ω以下、 特に 5 Ω以 下の導電性を有し、 面方向の抵抗は 106Ω以上、 特に 109 Ω以上であることが 好ましい。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 従来の異方性導電フィルムと同様の用途に用 いられる。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 例えば F P C又は TABと、 液晶パ ネルのガラス基板上の I TO端子との接続など、 種々の端子間の接続に使用され る。 本発明の異方性導電フィルムでは、 接着剤樹脂組成物の硬化時に架橋構造が 形成されると共に、 高い接着性、 特に金属との優れた密着性と、 優れた耐久性、 耐熱性が得られる。
本発明の異方性導電フィルムは、 I TOと S i Oxとの両方に対して高い接着 性を有し、 特に S i〇xに対して著しく高い接着性を有し、 上記端子間の接続に きわめて好適である。
以下に、 実施例及び比較例を挙げる。
実施例 1〜4、 比較例 1〜4
ポリビュルプチラール (電気化学工業社製「デン力 P VB 3000— 1」) のト ルェン 25重量0 /0溶液を調製した。 この溶液に、 ポリビニルプチラール 100重 量部に対して表 1に示す成分を表 1に示す量で混合した。 混合液の溶液をバーコ 一ターによりセパレーターであるポリテレフタル酸エチレン上に塗布した後溶媒 を蒸発させて成膜し、 幅 5mm、 厚さ 15 ^ mのフィルム (サンプル) を得た。 得られたサンプルのセパレーターを剥離し、 PET樹脂基板上に S i Ox膜を 介して I TO端子を形成した基板と、 ポリイミ ド基板に銅箔をパターニングした 基板との間に介在させて、 モニターで位置決めをし、 これらの接着を行った。 熱 硬化 (実施例 1, 3及ぴ比較例 1, 3, 4) の場合は 1 30°Cで 20秒間、 3M P aにおいて加熱圧着した。 光硬化 (実施例 2, 4及び比較例 2) の場合は、 加 熱の代りにハロゲンランプで 30秒間照射を行い、 3MP aで圧着した。 得られ た接着サンプルについて、引張試験機による 90° 剥離試験(5 Omm/m i n) により接着力を測定すると共に、 デジタルマルチメータにより厚み方向の導通抵 抗を測定した。 結果を表 1に示した。
実施例 1 , 2は比較例 1, 2の接着剤樹脂組成物に更にリン酸ァクリレートを 配合したものである。 実施例 3, 4は比較例 1 , 2の接着剤樹脂組成物に更に対 しリン酸メタクリレートを配合したものである。 比較例 3は、 比較例 1の接着剤 樹脂組成物においてアルキド樹脂を配合しなかったものである。 比較例 4は、 比 較例 1の接着剤樹脂組成物においてメラミン系樹脂を配合せず、 且つアルキド樹 脂の配合量を 2倍としたものである。
実施例 5〜 1 2
ポリビニルプチラールの代りにアタリル酸変性ポリビニルプチラール (実施例 5〜8) 又はメタクリル酸変性ポリビ ルプチラール (実施例 9〜1 2) を用い た他は実施例 1〜4と同様にしてフィルムを得、 基板を接着した。 実施例 5, 9 が実施例 1に対応し、 実施例 6, 1 0が実施例 2に対応し、 実施例 7, 1 1が実 施例 3に対応し、 実施例 8, 1 2が実施例 4に対応する。 実施例 1〜 4と同様に して行った測定の結果を表 1に示す。

表 1より、本発明の異方性導電フィルムは著しく接着性に優れることがわかる。 実施例 1〜1 2は、比較例 1, 2に比べて接着力が十分に高いものとなっている。 変性ポリビニルブチラールを用いた実施例 5〜1 2はポリビュルブチラールを用 いた実施例 1〜4よりも更に接着性が良好である。 比較例 3, 4は比較例 1, 2 に比べても接着性がかなり劣る。 産業上の利用可能性
以上詳述した通り、 本発明によれば、 I TOと S i Οχとの両方に対して高い 接着力を示す異方性導電フィルムが提供される。

Claims

請求の範囲
(1) 導電性粒子が分散された接着剤樹脂組成物を成膜してなる異方性導電フ ィ /レムにおいて、
該接着剤樹脂組成物が、 ポリビニルアルコールをァセタール化して得られるポ リァセタール化樹脂及び/又はこのポリアセタール化樹脂の側鎖に脂肪族不飽和 基を導入してなる変性ポリアセタール化樹脂よりなるベース樹脂と、 メラミン系 樹脂、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレート及びアルキド樹脂とを含む熱硬化性又は光硬 化性樹脂組成物であることを特徴とする異方性導電フイルム。
(2) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 100重量部に対してメ ラミン系樹脂を 1〜 200重量部含有することを特徴とする異方性導電フィルム。
(3) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 100重量部に対してリ ン酸 (メタ) アタリレートを 0. 1〜10重量部含有することを特徴とする異方 性導電フィルム。
(4) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 100重量部に対してァ ルキド樹脂を 0. 01〜10重量部含有することを特徴とする異方性導電フィル ム。
(5) 請求項 1において、 メラミン系樹脂と、 リン酸 (メタ) アタリレートと、 アルキド樹脂との配合比が、 メラミン系樹脂: リン酸 (メタ) アタリレート :ァ ルキド樹脂 = 1 : 0. 01〜 10 : 0. 0 1〜; L 0 (重量比) であることを特徴 とする異方性導電フィルム。
(6) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 100重量部に対して有 機過酸化物又は光増感剤を 0. 1〜1 0重量部含有することを特徴とする異方性 導電フィルム。
(7) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 100重量部に対して、 アタリ口キシ基含有化合物、 メタタリ口キシ基含有化合物及びエポキシ基含有化 合物よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも 1種の反応性化合物を 0. 5〜80重量 部含有することを特徴とする異方性導電フイルム。
(8) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 10◦重量部に対してシ ランカツプリング剤を 0. 0 1〜5重量部含有することを特徴とする異方性導電 フイノレム。
(9) 請求項 1において、 該樹脂組成物がベース樹脂 1 00重量部に対して炭 化水素樹脂 1〜 20 0重量部含有することを特徴とする異方性導電フィルム。

(14) 請求項 1 3において、 該ポリビニルプチラール樹脂が下記式 (1) に 示すように、 ビニルブチラール単位 A、 ビニルアルコール単位 'B及び酢酸ビュル 単位 Cから構成され、 ポリビュルプチラール樹脂中の、 ビニルアルコール単位 B の割合が 3〜70モル0 /0であることを特徴とする異方性導電フィルム。

(1 6) 請求項 1 5において、 該変性ポリビニルプチラール樹脂のポリビュル プチラール樹脂が下記式 (1) に示すように、 ビュルプチラール単位 A、 ビニル アルコール単位 B及び酢酸ビュル単位 Cから構成され、 ポリビニルブチラール榭 脂中の、 ビニルアルコール単位 Bの割合が 3〜 70モル%であることを特徴とす る異方性導電フィルム。

(1 8) 請求項 1において、 樹脂基板上に S i Ox膜を介して成膜された I T o端子の接着に用いられることを特徴とする異方性導電フィルム。
