Abstract

Die Erfindung beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Gasdiffusionselektrode, insbesondere für die Elektrolyse einer wässrigen Lösung von Chlorwasserstoff, wobei in einem ersten Schritt a) eine Dispersion eines edelmetallhaltigen Katalysators und eines Protonen leitenden Ionomers in einem organischen Lösungsmittel auf einen, gegebenenfalls mit einer ein Acetylenruß-Polytetrafluorethylen-Gemisch enthaltenden Beschichtungsmasse versehenen, elektrisch leitfähigen Träger aufgesprüht wird und in einem zweiten Schritt b) das organische Lösungsmittel entfernt wird.
