Abstract

Es wird ein Gasventil beschrieben, insbesondere mit elektromagnetischer Betätigung, umfassend ein Ventilschliessglied (14), das einen Gasstrom von einer Zuströmseite zu einer Abströmseite (34) steuert und mit einem Ventilsitz (26) zusammenwirkt, der an einer Ventilplatte (62) mit mindestens einer Durchströmöffnung ausgebildet ist, die zu der Abströmseite (34) führt. Erfindungsgemäss ist vorgesehen, dass die Zuströmseite stromab mit einem inneren (22) und einem äusseren (20) Druckbereich verbunden ist, welche Druckbereiche (20, 22) stromauf des Ventilsitzes (26) angeordnet sind, wobei der innere Druckbereich (22) einen axialen Druckkanal (19) des Ventilschliessglieds (14) umfasst, der an der freien Stirnseite (24) des Ventilschliessglieds (14) austritt, und der äussere Druckbereich (20) das Ventilschliessglied (14) umgibt.
