[0023] 一般に、周方向強化層側縁とベルト層との間は、それぞれの層の補強コードのタイ ャ周方向とのなす角度の相違に起因して、剪断歪が発生し、セパレーシヨンが発生し やすい。本請求の範囲によれば、周方向強化層側縁部とベルト層との間に適切な間 隔を保つことができ、層間に発生するセパレーシヨンを防止することができる。
[0024] なお、緩和ゴム層の厚みが 0. 5mmより薄いとセパレーシヨンを防止する効果が小 さくなるとともに、製造困難となり、 2. 5mmより厚くすると緩和ゴム層と配置した部分 のベルト層が局所的に外周側に持ち上げられ、その部分のトレッドゴムを薄くせざる を得ないため、トレッド表面にカットを受けた場合に、カット傷がベルト層に到達しや すくなるという不具合が生じる。
[0025] さらに好ましくは、内周側のベルト層の幅をトレッド踏面幅の 85— 105%とする。
[0026] これによれば、前述した内周側のベルト層によるトレッドショルダー部の偏摩耗抑制 効果をより確実に担保することができる。内周側のベルト層幅をトレッド踏面幅の 85 %より小さくすると、偏摩耗抑制効果が小さくなり、 105%より大きくすると、トレッドショ ルダ一部の湾曲部に沿ってベルト層を湾曲させる必要があるため、製造不良が発生 するおそれがあり、バットレス部にカットが発生すると、ベルトが露出して容易に故障 にいたるおそれがある。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0028] 以下に、本発明の実施の形態を図面に示すところに基づいて説明する。
[0029] 図 1は本発明の一実施形態をタイヤの半部について示すトレッド部の幅方向断面 図である。図中 1はカーカスを、 2はカーカスのクラウン部の外周側に配設したトレッド ゴムをそれぞれ示す。
[0030] ここでは、図示しないビードコア間でトロイダル状に延びるカーカス 1とトレッドゴム 2 との間に、二層のベルト層 3、 4からなるベルト 5を配設するとともに、ベルト 5の内周側 に隣接させて、二層の周方向強化層 6、 7をそれぞれ配設する。好ましくは、周方向 強化層 7の側縁と内周側のベルト層 4との間に、 0. 5— 2. 5mmの厚みの緩和ゴム層 8を配設する。

[0034] ベルト層 3は、ベルト層コード 10がタイヤ周方向に対し左側に 45 80度傾斜させ て複数本配設され、それらの周りは被覆ゴムに覆われてなり、ベルト層 4は、ベルト層 コード 10がタイヤ周方向に対し、ベルト層 3内部のベルト層コード 10がタイヤ周方向 に対してなす角度と同じ角度で、タイヤ周方向に対し右側に傾斜させて複数本延在 させて、それらの周りは被覆ゴムに覆われてなる。
[0035] このように構成することで、タイヤ全体の重量増加を招くことなぐベルト層側縁部の セパレーシヨンを防止し、ベルト層と周方向強化層との間のセパレーシヨンをも防止 すること力 Sできる。

本発明の一実施形態たる、重荷重用の空気入りタイヤの、ベルト耐久性と耐偏摩耗 性を評価する目的で、サイズ力 315/60 R22. 5、 385/55 R22. 5, 445/50
R22. 5、 435/45 R22. 5および 495/40 R22. 5の偏平率の低レ、重荷重用 の空気入りタイヤを、それぞれの適用サイズのリムに装着して、タイヤへの充填空気 圧を 900kPaとし、試験車両に装着して、 10万 km走行した後のベルト部の亀裂発生 の有無と、トレッドショルダー部の偏摩耗の発生の有無を調査した。その結果を表 1に 示す。

[0038] 実施例タイヤ 1一 5は、本願請求の範囲の全てを網羅しており、ベルト耐久性、耐偏 摩耗性、耐カット性のレ、ずれの性能も満足してレ、ることが分かる。 [0039] 実施例タイヤ 1一 5と、実施例タイヤ 6を比較すると、実施例タイヤ 1一 5は、周方向 強化層のタイヤ断面幅に対する比率が、本願請求の範囲 2の数値限定の下限値 60 %より小さい実施例タイヤ 6に比して、耐偏摩耗性がさらに優れていることが分かる。
[0040] 実施例タイヤ 1一 5と、実施例タイヤ 7を比較すると、実施例タイヤ 1一 5は、周方向 強化層のタイヤ断面幅に対する比率力 本願請求の範囲 2の数値限定の上限値の 8 0%より大きい実施例タイヤ 7に比して、耐カット性がさらに優れていることが分かる。
[0041] 実施例タイヤ 1一 5と、実施例タイヤ 8を比較すると、実施例タイヤ 1一 5は、緩和ゴ ム層の厚みが、本願請求の範囲 3の数値限定の上限値 2. 5mmより大きい実施例タ ィャ 8に比して、耐カット性がさらに優れていることがわかる。
[0042] 実施例タイヤ 1一 5と、実施例タイヤ 9を比較すると、実施例タイヤ 1一 5は、内周側 のベルト層幅のトレッド踏面幅に対する比率力 S、本願請求の範囲 4の数値限定の下 限値 85%より小さい実施例タイヤ 9に比して、耐偏摩耗性がさらに優れていることが 分かる。

産業上の利用可能性
[0044] 以上に述べたところから明らかなように、本発明によれば、ベルト層のベルト層コー ドがタイヤ周方向に対して 45 80度という高い角度を有することにより、ベルト層そ れ自身に幅方向断面内における高い曲げ剛性を発揮させることができるため、突起 物を踏み込んだ場合の、変位を抑制するとともに、変形の始点を内周側のベルト層 の側縁まで移動させることにより、ベルト層の変形に伴う傾斜角度を低くし、ベルト層 内に発生する幅方向剪断歪を小さくして、ベルト端のセパレーシヨンを防止すること ができる。力 0えて、ベルト層自身に幅方向断面内における曲げ剛性を高める機能を 持たせることにより、ベルト層の外周側に、補強コードをタイヤ周方向に対して高い角 度をもって傾斜させたベルト補強層を設けたタイヤに比べて、タイヤ全体の重量増加 を招くことなぐベルト側縁のセパレーシヨンを防止することができる。また、外周側の ベルト層を周方向強化層の幅よりも狭幅とすることにより、タイヤ全体の重量増加を招 くことなぐ内周側のベルト層を保護する機能を保つとともに、内周側のベルト層側縁 から外周側のベルト層側縁を離隔させることにより、それぞれのベルト層側縁の間に 発生するセパレーシヨンを防止することができる。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 一枚以上のカーカスプライをトロイダルに配設してなるカーカスのクラウン部の外周 側にトレッドゴムを配設し、このトレッドゴムとカーカスとの間に、二層のベルト層よりな り、ベルト層コードを層間で相互に交差させてなるベルトを配設し、各ベルト層コード をタイヤ周方向に対して 45 80度の角度で傾斜させて延在させ、ベルトの内周側に
、波状もしくはジグザグ状をなす迂曲コードをほぼタイヤ周方向に延在させてなる一 層以上の周方向強化層を配設してなる空気入りタイヤであって、
内周側のベルト層の幅を周方向強化層の幅よりも大きくする一方で、外周側のベル ト層の幅を、周方向強化層の幅よりも小さくしてなる空気入りタイヤ。
[2] 周方向強化層の幅をタイヤ断面幅の 60— 80%とし、内周側のベルト層の幅をタイ ャ断面幅の 80— 90%とするとともに、外周側のベルト層の幅をタイヤ断面幅の 20—
50%としてなる請求の範囲 1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
[3] 周方向強化層の側縁と内周側のベルト層との間に、 0. 5— 2. 5mmの厚みの緩和 ゴム層を配設してなる請求の範囲 1もしくは 2に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
[4] 内周側のベルト層の幅をトレッド踏面幅の 85— 105%としてなる請求の範囲 1一 3 のレ、ずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
