Definitions
- the present invention relates to a heald frame, as well as a loom equipped with at least one such frame. It is known to equip a weaving loom by means of heald frames, which are intended to be controlled in a movement of vertical oscillations by means of an ' appropriate device, such as an armor mechanic or a dobby.
- a heald frame comprises first of all a body, which is formed by reversible assembly of two uprights and two crosspieces. In service, the uprights are substantially vertical, while the crosspieces are substantially horizontal.
- Each cross also supports a hooking member, also called a bar, which allows the fixing of a corresponding end of the heddles of the loom.
- the invention relates more particularly to such a heald frame which is provided with damping means, interposed between the crosspieces and the healds, at at least one end of the latter.
- damping means interposed between the crosspieces and the healds, at at least one end of the latter.
- a heald frame for weaving loom said frame comprising two uprights and two crosspieces, each crossmember being provided with a hooking member capable of receiving a corresponding end of at least one heald of said frame, while there is also provided damping means, integral with at least one hooking member or a corresponding cross member (e), against which at least one end of the heddle is capable of coming to bear , characterized in that, at least in the static state of said frame and in a rectilinear configuration of the heald, when a first end of the or each heald is in contact, either on a first hooking member at its traction zone, either on first damping means at its compression zone, the other end of the or each beam is substantially in contact, or on other damping means at its zone compression, either on u n another fastening member at its traction zone
- the invention also relates to a weaving loom equipped with at least one heald frame as defined above.
- the invention will be better understood and other advantages will appear more clearly in the light of the description which will follow from a loom and two heddle frames conforming to its principle, given only by way of nonlimiting examples and made with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: - Figure 1 is a schematic representation of principle a loom in accordance with the invention; - Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view, along the line II-II in Figure 1, partially illustrating a heald frame belonging to the loom of Figure 1, in particular as regards the mutual joining of 'a cross member, a fastening member and a rail belonging to this frame; and - Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view, similar to this Figure 2, illustrating an alternative embodiment of the invention.
- a dobby 1 of a type known per se is intended to drive a heald frame 2 belonging to a weaving loom M, according to a vertical oscillating movement materialized by the arrows Fi and F ' x .
- an actuating arm 1a of the dobby is coupled to each heald frame 2, by means of connecting rods and oscillating levers.
- the loom M has several frames, generally between six and twenty-four, only one of which is shown in FIG. 1 for the sake of clarity.
- Each frame 2 comprises a body, which is formed by the assembly of two uprights 4, 4 'and two crosspieces 6, 6'.
- the uprights 4, 4 'extend generally in a direction parallel to that ZZ' of vertical oscillation of the frames, namely vertically in service. Furthermore, the crosspieces 6, 6 'extend in a direction YY', which is perpendicular to that ZZ 'above, namely horizontally in service.
- Each respectively upper 6 and lower _ 'cross member is equipped, in known manner, with a member corresponding attachment, or bar 8, 8 '.
- These bars 8 and 8 ' which will be described in more detail below, allow the fixing of the upper and lower ends respectively of different heddles 10, belonging to the frame 2 of the loom M.
- FIG. 2 illustrates the fixing of the 'upper end of a heald 10 on the upper crossmember 6, by means of the bar 8.
- the attachment bar 8 is formed by a folded thin sheet, the thickness e of which is for example close to 0.7 mm. It firstly comprises a region 8 ⁇ , allowing the fixing of the bar 8 on the cross-member 6, by cooperation of shapes. More precisely, this attachment region is formed by two branches 8 2 ⁇ and 8 22 / generally having an L shape, the angles of which are placed opposite one another, so as to cover the above mentioned pin 6 2 . It should also be noted that these branches 8 2 ⁇ , 8 22 constitute the free ends of the folded sheet, forming the attachment bar 8. The existence of this lug 6 2 , associated with the branches 8 2 ⁇ and 8 22 / thus gives a removable character to the fixing of the bar 8 on the cross member S .
- This heddle 10 comprises, in a conventional manner, a threadlike element 10 ⁇ , provided with an eyelet 10 2 , visible in FIG. 1, intended for the passage of a warp thread not shown.
- the filiform element 10 ⁇ is extended into two main branches 10 3 , defining a housing 10 4 for receiving the bar 8.
- the outlet of this housing is bordered by two teeth 10 5 of the heald, s 'extending towards each other, so as to form a neck 10 s of restricted transverse dimension.
- This attachment region 8 4 has an approximately rectangular cross section, the dimensions of which are clearly greater than those of the intermediate region 8 3 .
- This attachment region 8 4 forms, in its lower part opposite to the cross member 6, a fold 8 5 in the form of a U, the core 8 5 ⁇ of which is turned towards the cross member 6.
- This fold ensures the retention of a damping element 12, of a type known per se, which is a flexible element, for example made of a polymeric material, an elastomeric material, or the like.
- a damping element which extends over substantially the entire main dimension of the cross-member 6, is retained by wedging and / or gluing in the interior volume of the fold 8 5 in the form of a U.
- this element damping 12 is received in the housing 10 4 for receiving the bar 8.
- the intermediate region 8 3 is received in the neck 10 6
- the attachment region 8 4 is received in housing 10 4 .
- this heald is substantially in abutment, by its upper compression surfaces Ci, against the upper damping element 12. It is specified that this arrangement is intended for nominal manufacturing dimensions, it being understood that the manufacturing tolerances, in particular those relating to the straightness of the crosspieces, only allow to be situated in the vicinity of these nominal dimensions, in practice with deviations in more or less related to these geometrical deviations. However, it is the average or nominal values which will obey the principle of substantially simultaneous double contact, as mentioned above. Such a measure is advantageous. Indeed, respectively the upper 6 and lower 6 'cross members are subjected in service to vibrations, which gives a variable character to their spacing.
- the heddles come into contact, respectively with the bar and with the damping element, sometimes by their traction surfaces and sometimes by their compression surfaces, the shocks on the compression surfaces helping to dampen vibrations.
- the fact of providing a substantially simultaneous support on the traction surfaces, lower or upper, and on the compression surfaces, upper or lower, makes it possible to work the crosspieces 6 and 6 'in a configuration where the heddles are substantially rectilinear. This is favorable for the transmission of a maximum compression force.
- One of the two crossmembers which acts as a shock absorber, therefore absorbs a significant force and makes it possible to reduce the bending of the other crossmember, thus ensuring a traction force.
- the beam control force is transmitted by the two crosspieces at the same time, which substantially reduces the bending of the crosspieces.
- the presence of the damping elements respectively upper 12 and lower 12 ′ makes it possible to reduce the oscillations of the axial vibrations of the heddles and their impacts on the bars. This therefore ensures a reduction of the overall wear and tear undergone by these healds and these bars and, consequently, by increasing their duration of use.
- FIG. 3 illustrates a first alternative embodiment of the invention.
- the mechanical elements similar to those of FIG. 2 are assigned the same reference numbers, increased by 100.
- the mechanical elements of the lower cross member 106 ', of the bar 108' and of the lower end of the heddle 110 are analogous respectively to those of the upper cross-member 106, of the upper bar 108 and of the upper end of the heald.
- the heddle 110 of this embodiment differs from the previous example, in that it is asymmetrical. Each of its ends has an overall shape of C, the filiform element 110 ⁇ being extended by a single branch 110 3 , from which extend respectively an intermediate tooth IIO3 1 and a return 110 2 . This tooth and this return, which are directed towards one another, define with the branch 110 3 two interstices 110 4 ⁇ , 110 42 .
- the attachment bar 108 is fixed to the cross member 106 by means not shown of bonding or riveting, or by other equivalent means.
- This hooking bar 108 comprises a hooking region 108, the ends of which penetrate into the respective interstices 110, 110 42 .
- the cross member 106 is further provided with a damping element 112, which is fixed for example by gluing. Unlike the first embodiment, this damping element 112 is placed opposite the free end E of the heald, relative to the threadlike body 110 ⁇ of the latter.
- Figure 3 illustrates a static state of the heddle 110, in which the latter is substantially straight. When the upper end of this heald is in direct support, by its Sioi surfaces, against the upper surfaces S ⁇ 0 ⁇ facing the bar 108, the lower end of this heald is substantially in support against the element d 'lower damping 112', at its lower compression surfaces C'ioi. Furthermore, not shown in this FIG.
- the heald can have a shape different from that of FIGS. 2 and 3.
- this heald can have an overall J-shaped section, in known manner in itself.
- this heddle is provided with a main branch, while it is only provided with an upper return, being devoid of lower tooth.
- the heald can also have a 0-shaped section, in a manner known per se, for frames fitted with sliders, also of the conventional type.
- the heddle may have a global section in the form of a C, a J or a 0, while the damping means are received in the interior volume of this C, this J or this 0, unlike the mode of embodiment of FIG. 3 and similarly to FIG. 2.
- the heald can have a U shape, while the damping means are placed opposite the free end of this heald, with respect to its filiform element, unlike the embodiment of FIG. 2, and similarly to FIG. 3.
