Definitions
- 'SMART SHELTER 1 is applicable to data storage rooms (LT. Rooms).
- the main risk factors in a CPD are the following:
- Electromagnetic Fields transformation centers, distribution tray
- IP conflicts ⁇
- the 'SMART SHELTER' is a reliable, easy and quick installation solution that is capable of responding to the highest demands by offering protection / prevention against most of the risk factors already mentioned.
- the 'SMART SHELTER' allows the direct exposure electric fields to be reduced to levels of about 10 dB.
- a traditional data storage room located about 6 m from a field source (in this case a transmitter antenna operating at 0.9 GHz) would receive a maximum field exposure of about 10 V / m; on the contrary with the shielding technology of the 'SMART SHELTER', the maximum incidence of electric field would not exceed 3.5 V / m.
- the 'SMART SHELTER' is effective for any source of electric field emission, regardless of its power and / or frequency and regardless of the proximity of the source.
- V / m depends mostly on the power and frequency of the emitting source.
- the shielding of the 'SMART SHELTER' is based on the principle of reflection of electric fields. This principle says that, a surface, the more conductive it is, the more it will reflect an incident radio wave on it; and therefore, will reduce the level of electric field. [13] If the surface is partially covered by a screen of conductive materials (eg Copper, Nickel, Silver, ...) there will be a certain attenuation of electric field. [14] The more extensive, complete, uniform, dense and closed (to avoid the entry of field waves) this screen is, the higher the level of attenuation achieved
- Equipment Creates a more favorable environment for electronic and computer machines and equipment directly exposed to said field, since, in many cases, it reduces and adapts the environmental Electric Field levels to the maximum immunity levels required by the directives International Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (eg CEE / 89/336, ...) and specifically international standards for immunity to Electric Fields (eg IEC / EN 61000-4-3), thus guaranteeing the perfect functioning of said equipment due to the proximity of such a source.
- International Electro-Magnetic Compatibility eg CEE / 89/336, .
- IEC / EN 61000-4-3 specifically international standards for immunity to Electric Fields
- the 'SMART SHELTER' allows to reduce to levels below 37.5 mG according to European standard IEC / EN 6100-4-8. In addition to this standard, there are many studies that recommend lower field levels (10 mG NCRM; 2.5 mG MPRII, ). [19] The AST criterion is to adopt 10 mG as the safety limit for people and equipment. [20]
- the main sources of the magnetic field are usually related to the transmission of electric power; These sources are:
- Magnetic screening is based on the physical magnetization / demagnetization principle known as 'Hysteresis Cycle'; more specifically in the part of the curve in which ferro-magnetic materials are magnetized.
- 'Hysteresis Cycle' the physical magnetization / demagnetization principle known as 'Hysteresis Cycle'; more specifically in the part of the curve in which ferro-magnetic materials are magnetized.
- What you want to achieve is to 'line' the walls of the 'SMART SHELTER' with a high magnetic permeability material (SIFE, MuMetal, ...) so that the magnetic field lines from the emitting source will be ' close 'in said lining and do not penetrate inside the' SMART SHELTER 'thus protecting the people / teams located within it.
- the perimeter of the 'SMART SHELTER' is covered with ferro-magnetic plates.
- the number of layers to be installed varies (between 1 and 8 layers of 0.5 mm thick) depending on the characteristics of the location (distance to the emitting source, power of the emitting source, ).
- the material used is SIFE silicon steel (Iron Alloy - Silicon with high permeability and high saturation point) of the following magnetic characteristics:
- 'SMART SHELTER' uses a last layer of Aluminum that is placed around the perimeter to be protected. This layer ensures that the residual flow that cannot be absorbed by the first SIFE layer does not penetrate the shield. That happens since Aluminum is a paramagnetic material of a very high susceptibility (7.7-10 9 m 3 / kg; the susceptibility is the electrical equivalent to the resistance, the more susceptible a material has, the more difficult it is to be magnetized). This last layer functions as a kind of shield, not allowing the residual flow that the SIFE has not been able to absorb.
- both layers are welded (SIFE, Aluminum). Said welding 'cover' possible gaps and weak points of the structure.
- Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility / Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) applicable to IT equipment, scientific and critical environments, the magnetic field levels that must be met are 37.5 mG, to ensure proper operation (IEC 61000-4-8 ).
- each panel is finished with a 1 U 'shape forming a' machi-female 'type system for snap fit by alternately assembling each of the panels that make up the overall structure.
- each panel varies depending on its thickness, this being about 23 kg / m 2 for 100 mm (standard thickness to obtain an RF120). Depending on it, different RFs can be obtained (see attached table):
- a first silicone gasket (2) Prior to the mechanical anchoring of the panels, a first silicone gasket (2) is applied, said special silicone (flame retardant and waterproof, resistant to corrosion and dust) guarantees the tightness of the room against water and air / smoke (also offering additional protection against fire).
- a second layer of intumescent putty (3) (of the same type as previously described) is applied on the outside of the joint to ensure proper protection against fire as well as to further ensure the tightness of the living room.
- the third joint is a strip (profile) of lacquered and riveted aluminum 1.5 mm thick that covers the joint between the two panels, giving the structure greater structural rigidity and a quality finish (the latter strip, profile also goes silicone).
- the intumescent putty increases volume in the presence of heat by completely sealing the joint. 2. Not letting air pass between the joints.
- This pavement consists of a double 92 mm thick layer composed of:
- a second layer of 12 mm thick formed by two layers of phenolic resin type MDF (M Ia Non-flammable) of great resistance to deformation both in tensile (0.65 N / mm 2 ) and in flexion (27 N / mm 2 ) and density 830 kg / m 3 (see attached table).
- MDF phenolic resin type MDF
- SHELTER has been developed specifically for data storage rooms (Servers, Racks, Patch Panels, Magnetic tape storage, ). Including and integrating:
