Abstract

Beschrieben ist ein naßfestes Faservlies, bevorzugt ein Faserpapier, das neben Fasern aus cellulosehaltigem Material zusätzlich Fasern aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff enthält, die an den Kreuzungspunkten fest miteinander verschweißt sind. Die Fasern aus cellulosehaltigem Material sind bevorzugt Hanffasern, während die Fasern aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff bevorzugt solche aus Polypropylen, Polyester oder Polyamid sind. Verbunden werden die Fasern unter der Einwirkung von Druck und/oder Hitze, insbesondere mit Hilfe von beheizten Kalanderwalzenpaaren. Das Faservlies bzw. Faserpapier wird insbesondere als Verstärkung in Nahrungsmittelhüllen auf Basis von regenerierter Cellulose, speziell in künstlichen Wursthüllen auf Basis von Cellulosehydrat, eingesetzt.
