[0061] 共通制御チャネルが、 1つの送信アンテナから送信されていた場合、移動局は、受 信した共通制御チャネルを直ちに復調することができる。これにより、 BCH, PCH, F ACHの内容を把握することができる。移動局は、上りリンクの共通制御チャネル (RA CH)を用いて、移動局の性能 (受信アンテナ数、送信アンテナ数等)や、要求するサ 一ビス (要求する伝送レート)等に関する情報を基地局に送信する。基地局は、下りリ ンクの共通制御チャネル (FACH)を用いて、付随制御チャネルの送信方法 (送信ァ ンテナ数等)を移動局に通知する。データチャネルの送信方法は、共通制御チヤネ ル (FACH)によって移動局に通知されてもよいし、付随制御チャネルによって移動 局に通知されてもよい。後者の場合は、各移動局の送信スロットに関する変調方式や 符号化率に加えて、送信方法 (MIMO多重方式、 MIMOダイバーシチ方式、それら の組み合わせ方式)が移動局に通知される。
[0062] 次に、共通制御チャネルが、 MIMOダイバーシチ方式で送信されていた場合を考 察する。この場合に、 MIMOダイバーシチ方式のコーディング方法 (例えば、送信ァ ンテナ数は 2つであり、図 6に示されるような処理内容で信号が送信されていること。 ) 力 移動局に既知であるとする。総ての基地局が、同じ MIMOダイバーシチ方式で 送信していれば、そのような事前の取り決めに基づいて、移動局は、受信した共通制 御チャネル力 必要な情報を抽出し、上記と同様に信号処理を進めることができる。 しかしながら、 1つの送信アンテナし力備えていない旧式の基地局力 地域によって は、存在するかもしれない。このような場合に MIMOダイバーシチ方式で信号を復調 しょうとしても良好に復調できない。本実施例の移動局は、 2種類の方式の双方で共 通制御チャネルを復調しょうとする。 2種類の方式の一方は、 1つの送信アンテナから 共通制御チャネルが送信されて!ヽる場合の復調方式であり、他方は MIMOダイバー シチ方式でそれが送信されて 、る場合の復調方式である。これら 2通りの方式のうち 、良好に復調できたチャネル力 必要な情報が抽出される。両方式で復調する順序 は同時もよいし、何れか一方が先に行われてもよい。以後は、上記と同様の処理が 行われる。即ち、移動局は、上りリンクの共通制御チャネル (RACH)を用いて、移動 局の性能 (受信アンテナ数、送信アンテナ数等)や、要求するサービス (要求する伝 送レート)等に関する情報を基地局に送信する。基地局は、下りリンクの共通制御チ ャネル (FACH)を用いて、付随制御チャネルの送信方法 (送信アンテナ数等)を移 動局に通知する。

[0063] 上述したように、パイロットチャネルは伝搬路を推定する等の用途に使用される。 Ml MO方式では、送信アンテナ毎に伝搬路が異なるので、ノ ィロットチャネルは、各送 信アンテナ毎に区別されながら送信される必要がある。従って、送信機から、ノイロッ トチャネル、制御チャネル及びデータチャネルが多重化されて送信される場合に、パ ィロットチャネルが送信アンテナ毎に区別されている必要がある。以下、パイロットチ ャネルの多重化に関する様々な例が示される力 それらは例示であり、限定的に列 挙されたものでないことに留意を要する。
[0064] 図 9A— Bは、複数の送信アンテナの内の 1つの送信アンテナ力も信号が送信され る場合の多重化の例を示す。制御チャネルは簡単のため図示されていない。この場 合は、信号を送信する送信アンテナは 1つしかない。図 9Aはパイロットチャネルとデ ータチャネルを時間多重した様子を示す。図 9Bはパイロットチャネルとデータチヤネ ルを周波数多重した様子を示す。
[0065] 図 10A— Cは、 4つの送信アンテナ力も送信されるパイロットチャネルを区別しなが ら多重化する様子を示す図(その 1)である。パイロットチャネルとデータチャネルは時 間多重される。図 10Aでは、 # 1〜# 4の 4つの送信アンテナに関するパイロットチヤ ネルが時間多重される様子を示す。図 10Bでは、 4つの送信アンテナに関するパイ口 ットチャネルが符号多重される様子を示す。何れも周波数方向に沿ってパイロットチ ャネルが連続的に挿入されるので、周波数方向にインターリーブを行うことで、周波 数ダイバーシチ効果を向上させることができる。図 10Cには、第 1及び第 2の送信ァ ンテナから送信される信号の概念図を示す。図示されているように、第 1の送信アン テナ力も送信されるパイロットチャネルは、 1, 1, 1, 1 より成る符号で区別され、第 2 の送信アンテナ力も送信されるパイロットチャネルは、 1, 1, —1, —1 より成る符号 で区別される様子が示されている。これらの符号は一例であり、適切ないかなる直交 ノ《ターンが使用されてもよい。
[0066] 図 11A— Cは、 4つの送信アンテナ力 送信されるパイロットチャネルを区別しなが ら多重化する様子を示す図(その 2)である。パイロットチャネルとデータチャネルは時 間多重される。図 11Aでは、 4つの送信アンテナに関するパイロットチャネルが周波 数多重される様子を示す。サブキャリア毎のチャネル推定を簡易且つ良好に行う観 点からは、このような手法が好ましい。図 11Bでは、 4つの送信アンテナに関するパイ ロットチャネルが符号多重される様子を示す。図 11Cでは、 4つの送信アンテナに関 するパイロットチャネルが周波数多重及び符号多重される様子を示す。 4つを符号多 重する場合に比べて、符号長を短くすることができる。 (A) , (B) , (C)何れの場合も 、周波数領域での多重化を利用することで、情報の伝送効率を改善することができる 。図 10A— Cに示される例では、時間方向に多重化するので、 1送信時間間隔 (TTI )内で伝送するシンボル数が少ない場合は、最大シンボル数に合わせて用意された リソースの一部し力使用されなくなり、リソースの使用効率が低くなつてしまう。
[0067] 図 12A— Cは、 4つの送信アンテナ力も送信されるパイロットチャネルを区別しなが ら多重化する様子を示す図(その 3)である。パイロットチャネルとデータチャネルは、 周波数多重される。図 12Aは、パイロットチャネル内で送信アンテナ毎に時間多重が なされている様子を示す。図 12Bは、パイロットチャネル内で送信アンテナ毎に符号 多重がなされている様子を示す。図 12Cは、パイロットチャネル内で送信アンテナ毎 に時間多重及び符号多重がなされている様子を示す。一般に、時間方向の変動は 少な 、ので、パイロットチャネルの送信アンテナ間の直交性を良好に維持することが できる。
[0068] 以上、本発明の好ましい実施例を説明したが、本発明はこれに限定されるわけでは なぐ本発明の要旨の範囲内で種々の変形及び変更が可能である。説明の便宜上、 本発明が幾つかの実施例に分けて説明されてきたが、各実施例の区分けは本発明 に本質的ではなぐ 1以上の実施例が必要に応じて使用されてよい。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 複数のアンテナの各々から異なる信号を同時に無線送信する送信装置であって、 時分割多重化方式、周波数分割多重化方式及び符号分割多重化方式の内の 1以 上の方式で、各アンテナ力 送信するパイロットチャネルを多重化するパイロット多重 化手段と、
ノ ィロットチャネル及びデータチャネルを時間多重するデータ多重化手段と、 空間分割多重化(SDM)方式及び時空送信ダイバーシチ(STTD)方式の少なくと も一方の方式で信号を送信する手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする送信装置。
[2] 時分割多重化方式によらず、周波数分割多重化又は符号分割多重化方式で、各 アンテナカゝら送信するパイロットチャネルが多重化される
ことを特徴とする請求項 1記載の送信装置。
[3] 前記信号を送信する手段が、直交周波数符号分割多重化 (OFCDM)方式で送信 を行う
ことを特徴とする請求項 1記載の送信装置。
[4] 送信する信号系列をアンテナの各々に分配する直並列変換手段と、
直並列変換手段の 1以上の出力信号系列中の信号の並び方を変えるインターリー ブ手段とを更に備える
ことを特徴とする請求項 3記載の送信装置。
[5] 送信する信号系列をアンテナの各々に分配する直並列変換手段と、
直並列変換手段の入力信号系列中の信号の並び方を変えるインターリーブ手段を 更に備える
ことを特徴とする請求項 3記載の送信装置。
[6] 複数の送信アンテナの各々から同時に無線送信された信号を複数の受信アンテナ で受信する受信装置であって、
時間多重されたパイロットチャネル及びデータチャネルを分離するデータ分離手段 と、
時間多重、周波数多重及び符号多重方式の内の 1以上の方式で多重化された、 各送信アンテナに関するパイロットチャネルを分離するパイロット分離手段と、
1つのアンテナから送信され受信された信号を復調する手段と、
時空送信ダイバーシチ (STTD)方式で信号を復調する手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする受信装置。
[7] 複数のアンテナの各々力 異なる信号を同時に無線送信する送信方法であって、 時分割多重化方式、周波数分割多重化方式及び符号分割多重化方式の内の 1以 上の方式で、各アンテナ力 送信するパイロットチャネルを多重化し、
ノ ィロットチャネル及びデータチャネルを時間多重化し、
1つのアンテナから又は時空送信ダイバーシチ(STTD)方式により複数のアンテナ から信号を送信する
ことを特徴とする送信方法。
[8] 複数の送信アンテナの各々から同時に無線送信された信号を複数の受信アンテナ で受信する受信方法であって、
時間多重されたパイロットチャネル及びデータチャネルを分離し、
時間多重、周波数多重及び符号多重方式の内の 1以上の方式で多重化された、 各送信アンテナに関するパイロットチャネルを分離し、
1つのアンテナから送信され受信された信号を復調する方式及び時空送信ダイバ ーシチ(STTD)方式の双方で信号を復調する
ことを特徴とする受信方法。
