Abstract

A black and color inkjet cartridge testing and refilling device and method of use thereof. The device includes a testing station (56) and a refilling station (58) to be used in conjunction with an interface to guide a user through the steps associated with refilling an inkjet cartridge. The device includes waste ink storage, an ink refill supply (55), and house stickers and clips for placement on refilled cartridges to prevent drying. The device includes steps to guide a user through an initial determination of a capacity to refill the type of cartridge desired. The automated control system of the device provides users with help through cleaning procedures, test printing procedures, and purge operations.
