[0001] 本発明は、自動販売機の販売情報収集などのテレメトリングの分野や移動体への 交通情報配信などのテレマテイクスの分野に関する。
背景技術
[0002] 近年、無線パケット通信網を介して情報の収集や配信等を行うテレメトリングゃテレ マテイクスが普及してきている。テレメトリングとは、元来は、通信回線を使って計量器 の計量値を読み出す仕組みのことの総称である。しかし、近年は、一般的に、データ の読み取りだけでなぐ機器の動作監視や遠隔制御にも用いる用語である。テレメトリ ングの代表的な例としては、自動販売機の販売管理システム、ガス'水道などの使用 量管理システム、無人駐車場における管理システムなどが挙げられる。自動販売機 の販売管理システムについては特許文献 1を参照されたい。また、テレマテイクスとは 、 自動車などの移動体に通信システムを組み合わせてリアルタイムに情報サービスを 提供することを意味する。テレマテイクスの代表的な例としては、自動車に設置した端 末に交通情報やナビゲーシヨン情報をリアルタイムに提供する車載情報システムなど が挙げられる。
[0003] このような分野においては、遠隔地において無線パケット通信網に接続するための 通信機器と該通信機器を用いる上位装置とを配置して ヽる。前記上位装置はデータ 端末装置(DTE : Data Terminal Equipment)〖こ相当する。また、前記通信機器はデ ~~タ通 1 装 (DCE : Data Circuit-terminating Equipment)にネ目当する。
[0004] 例えば、自動販売機の販売管理システムにおいては、販売制御や庫内の温度制 御を行う制御装置が上位装置に相当する。各上位装置は、定期的に又は任意時に 、通信機器を介して所定のネットワークに接続し、該ネットワークを介して所定の管理 コンピュータに接続する。そして、管理コンピュータに接続した上位装置は、種々の 管理対象データを送信する。

発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0005] ところで、従来のシステムでは、上述のように所定の管理コンピュータに各上位装置 力 の管理対象データが集約される力 この管理対象データを他のコンピュータでも 受信したいという要望があった。この要望は、例えば、管理対象データのバックアップ という目的や、管理コンピュータの管理業者とは別のシステム構築会社等において管 理用ログとして保管しておくという目的でなされたものである。
[0006] しかし、従来の上位装置は所定の管理コンピュータに接続するための各種情報、 例えば電話番号 · IPアドレスなどが固定的に組み込み設定されて 、たため、予め設 定した管理コンピュータ以外のコンピュータにデータ送信を行うことは困難であった。
[0007] 本発明は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的とするところは、所定の 管理コンピュータ以外のコンピュータに対してもデータ送信を可能とする通信機器用 の接続装置を提供することにある。
課題を解決するための手段
[0008] 上記目的を達成するために、本願では、ネットワーク接続サービス用の通信機器と の接続用の第 1のインタフェイスと、前記通信機器を用いて通信を行う上位装置との 接続用の第 2のインタフェイスと、前記上位装置による前記通信機器を用いた通信を 中継する通信制御部と、通信データを記憶する記憶手段とを備え、前記通信制御部 は、 (a)上位装置と第 1の通信相手先との間の通信データを前記記憶手段に記憶し 、(b)上位装置と第 1の通信相手先との間の通信が終了した後に第 2の通信相手先 に接続し、(c)前記記憶手段に記憶されている通信データの一部又は全部を第 2の 通信相手先に送信することを特徴とする通信機器用の接続装置を提案する。
[0009] 本発明によれば、接続装置及び通信機器を介した上位装置と第 1の通信相手先の コンピュータとの間の通信が終了すると、当該通信データの複製が第 2の通信相手 先のコンピュータに送信される。これにより、第 2の通信相手先のコンピュータにおい ても通信データの管理が可能となるので、当該通信データをバックアップやログ解析 などの目的で活用できる。
[0010] なお、前記上位装置はデータ端末装置(DTE: Data Terminal Equipment)に相当 する。また、前記通信機器はデータ通信装置(DCE : Data Circuit-terminating Equip ment)に相当する。
[0011] 本発明の好適な態様の一例として、本願では、前記通信制御部が、第 1の通信相 手先との通信終了後に当該通信時に確立したネットワーク接続を切断し、第 2の通信 相手先との通信用にネットワーク接続を確立することを特徴とするものを提案する。
[0012] 本発明では、第 1の通信相手先との通信で用いるネットワーク接続と、第 2の通信相 手先との通信で用いるネットワーク接続とを、異なるキヤリャゃ異なるネットワーク契約 形態で構築できる。したがって、システム構築の柔軟性に優れたものとなる。
[0013] また、本発明の他の好適な態様の一例として、本願では、前記通信制御部が、第 1 の通信相手先との通信時に確立したネットワーク接続を維持したまま第 1の通信相手 先との通信終了後に第 2の通信相手先に接続することを特徴とするものを提案する。
[0014] 本発明では、第 1の通信相手先との通信と第 2の通信相手先との通信の双方を共 通のネットワーク接続を用いて行うので、ネットワーク接続に要する時間の短縮ィ匕ゃ 通信コストの低減を図ることができる。
発明の効果
[0015] 以上説明したように本発明によれば、接続装置及び通信機器を介した上位装置と 第 1の通信相手先のコンピュータとの間の通信が終了すると、当該通信データの複 製が第 2の通信相手先のコンピュータに送信される。これにより、第 2の通信相手先 のコンピュータにおいても通信データの管理が可能となるので、当該通信データをバ ックアップやログ解析などの目的で活用できる。

本発明の第 1の実施の形態に係る通信機器用の接続装置について図面を参照し て説明する。図 1は本実施形態に係る通信機器用の接続装置を用いたシステムのネ ットワーク構成図である。
[0019] この接続装置 1は、複数種の上位装置 10と複数種の通信機器 21, 22, 23とを接 続する装置である。本実施の形態に係る接続装置 1では、 PDC規格の通信モジユー ル 21、 CDMA規格の通信モジュール 22、 PHS規格の通信モジュール 23に対応す る。各通信モジュール 21, 22, 23は、それぞれ対応するキャリアが構築する無線パ ケット通信網 31, 32, 33に接続する通信機器であり、各キャリアが独自に定めた通 信規格'通信プロトコル 'サービスに対応している。上位装置 10は、特定のキャリア及 びそのキャリアが提供するサービスに対応するように設計されている。具体的には、 当該サービスに対応した通信モジュールを接続するとともに、該サービスに対応した 接続プロトコル.認証プロトコル等に対応するよう設計されている。
[0020] 本実施の形態では各無線パケット通信網 31, 32, 33は以下のようなサービスを提 供して 、るものとする。以下各サービスにつ 、て説明する。
[0021] 第 1及び第 3の無線パケット通信網 31, 33におけるネットワーク接続サービスでは、 通信モジュール 21, 23に予めキャリアにより電話番号が割り当てられる。各無線パケ ット通信網 31、 33には、回線制御やパケット中継等を行う中継装置 3 la, 33aが設け られている。中継装置 31a, 33aには、接続先ネットワークである企業内 LAN40, 50 に対応して電話番号が割り当てられている。通信モジュール 21, 23を接続した端末 は、各無線パケット通信網 31、 33内の中継装置 3 la, 33aの電話番号宛に発呼する ことにより、企業内 LAN40, 50などの所定のネットワークに接続する。中継装置 31a , 33aへの接続は、予め電話番号を割り当てた通信モジュール 21, 23からのみ許可 される。キャリアからは所定の範囲の IPアドレス群が割り当てられており、通信モジュ ール 21 , 23に接続する各端末にはそれぞれ該 IPアドレス群に含まれる固定 IPァドレ スが割り当てられる。中継装置 31a, 33aは、前記 IPアドレス群内を送受信するバケツ トのみを中継する。
[0022] 第 2の無線パケット通信網 32におけるネットワーク接続サービスでは、通信モジユー ル 22に予めキャリアにより電話番号が割り当てられる。第 2の無線パケット通信網 32 には、回線制御やパケット中継等を行う中継装置 32aが設けられている。通信モジュ ール 22を接続した端末は、予め定められている特別な番号を指定して発呼すること により第 2の無線パケット通信網 32に接続する。そして、該端末は、中継装置 32aと の間で認証プロトコルの一種である PAP (Password Authentication Protocol)を用い た認証処理を行うことにより、接続先ネットワークである企業内 LAN40, 50に接続可 能となる。なお、前記 PAP認証では、接続先を特定する情報をユーザ名に含ませる ことにより、接続先ネットワークを特定する。また、キャリアからは所定の範囲の IPアド レス群が割り当てられており、通信モジュール 22に接続する各端末にはそれぞれ該 I Pアドレス群に含まれる IPアドレスが IPCP (Internet Protocol Control Protocol)により 動的に割り当てられる。

本実施の形態に係る上位装置 10は、 PDC規格の通信モジュール 21及び PHS規格 の通信モジュール 23と直接接続可能であるとする。そして、上位装置 10は、該通信 モジュール 21又は 23を用いることにより、各無線パケット通信網 31又は 33を介して 企業内 LAN40内の第 1の通信相手先 41に接続するよう設定されて 、るとする。本 実施の形態に係る接続装置 1は、当該上位装置 10を改造 '変更することなぐ CDM A規格の通信モジュール 22を用いて、第 2の無線パケット通信網 32を介して企業内 LAN40内の第 1の通信相手先 41に接続可能とする。また、接続装置 1は、上位装 置 10と第 1の通信相手先 41との通信データの複製を作成し、該通信データを企業 内 LAN50内の第 2の通信相手先 51に送信する。
[0024] 典型的な運用例である自動販売機の管理システムの場合、上位装置に相当する 自動販売機の制御装置は、 PDC規格の通信モジュール 21と直接接続可能となって いる。また、該制御装置は、定期的に又は任意時に、第 1のパケット通信網 31を介し て企業内 LAN40内の第 1の通信相手先 41に販売データなどを送信するよう設定さ れている。この第 1の通信相手先 41は、自動販売機^^中管理する管理コンビユー タに相当する。本接続装置 1は以下の 2つを実現する。(1)自動販売機や管理コンビ ユータ等に変更を加えることなく他のパケット通信網 32, 33を介した通信を可能にす ること。(2)制御装置と管理コンピュータとの間の通信データの複製を他の管理コンビ ユータにも送信すること。本実施の形態では、他の管理コンピュータは、企業内 LAN 50の第 2の通信相手先 51に相当する。以下、接続装置 1について詳述する。

[0071] 本接続サービスでは、無線パケット通信網 32は、端末が接続してきた際に該接続 端末の電話番号を取得する。そして、当該電話番号に対応する IPアドレスをアドレス 対応テーブル 32cから取得し、取得した IPアドレスを接続端末に配布する。このアド レス配布には IPCPが用いられる。すなわち、本実施の形態では、 IPCPという動的 IP 付与技術を用いているものの、配布 IPアドレスは予め定められたものである。 [0072] 本実施の形態では、上述のようなネットワーク接続サービスの利用に伴 、、接続先 ルータ 43及び接続装置 1の構成'動作は第 1の実施の形態と相違する。まず、接続 先ルータ 43について説明する。
[0073] 上記第 1の実施の形態では、接続端末の IPアドレスが不定のため、接続先ルータ 4 3ではアドレス変換処理を行っている。しかし、本実施の形態では、接続端末の IPァ ドレスはアドレス管理サーバ 32cで定められたものなので、当該アドレス変換処理は 不要である。したがって、接続先ルータ 43は一般的な中継機能を有していればよい 。すなわち、図 5を参照して説明した、前提となる通信システムにおける一般的なル ータ 42を利用可能である。
[0074] 一方、接続装置 1の回線制御部 121は、第 1の実施の形態と同様に、回線接続の 確立などの回線制御を行う。また、通信制御部 122は、第 1の実施の形態と同様に、 回線制御部 121により確立された回線上でのデータ通信を制御する。ただし、回線 制御部 121及び通信制御部 122は、上述のネットワーク接続サービスに対応して、 第 1の実施の形態とは動作が異なる。
[0075] 以下、接続装置 1の動作の相違点について図 13及び図 14を参照して詳述する。
図 13は上位装置力も通信を開始する場合のシーケンスチャート、図 14は上位装置 力 送信された IPパケットのヘッダに記載された IPアドレスの変換過程を説明する図 である。
[0076] 図 13に示すように、上位装置 10が接続装置 1に対して「ATDT080CCDD」3マン ドを発呼すると (ステップ S101)、接続装置 1の回線制御部 121は、第 2の無線バケツ ト通信網 32との接続処理を行う(ステップ S102〜S107)。この処理は、図 6を参照し て前述した第 1の実施の形態におけるステップ S22〜S27の処理と同様である。ただ し、ステップ S 107で第 2の無線パケット通信網 32から付与される IPアドレス力 ァドレ ス管理サーバ 32bにおいて予め定められたものである点が異なる。
[0077] 次に、接続装置 1の回線制御部 121は、回線レベルで接続が完了した旨の応答「C ONNECT」を上位装置 10に送信する(ステップ S108)。上位装置 10は、当該応答 を受けて LCPネゴシエーション及び IPCPネゴシエーションを開始する(ステップ S 10 9, S110)。 [0078] 以上の処理により上位装置 10と企業内 LAN40との接続が完了するので、上位装 置 10は通信相手先 41へのデータ通信を開始する (ステップ S 111)。ここで、接続装 置 1の通信制御部 122では、 IPパケットのヘッダのアドレス変換を行う(ステップ S112 )。具体的には、図 14に示すように、固定端末 IPアドレス(192. 168. 0. 1)と動的端 末 IPアドレス(172. 16. 0. X)とを相互に変換する。以上の処理により、上位装置 10 力も開始する通信相手先 41との通信が可能となる。なお、当該通信後の通信データ の複製処理及び送信処理については、図 9を参照して前述した第 1の実施の形態と 同様である。
[0079] 以上本発明の実施の形態について詳述したが本発明はこれに限定されるものでは ない。上記第 1の実施の形態では、接続装置 1は、第 1の通信相手先 41との通信時 に確立したネットワーク接続が切断された後に、第 2の通信相手先 51との通信用に ネットワーク接続を確立するようにしていた。このような形態では、キヤリャゃネットヮー ク契約形態として種々のものを採用することができる。すなわち、システム構築の柔軟 性に優れている。これに対して、第 1の通信相手先 41との通信時に確立したネットヮ ーク接続を維持したまま、第 2の通信相手先 51に接続するようにしてもよい。この場 合には、ネットワーク接続に要する時間の短縮ィ匕ゃ通信コストの低減を図ることがで きる。
[0080] また、上記各実施の形態では、通信モジュールとして PDC規格, CDMA規格, P HS規格のものを例示したが、他の規格のものであっても本発明を実施できる。同様 に、上位装置側のインタフェイス規格についても、上述したもの以外のものを適用で きる。
[0081] また、上記各実施の形態では、第 1及び第 3の無線パケット通信網 31, 33における ネットワーク接続サービスと、第 2の無線パケット通信網 32におけるネットワーク接続 サービスとの相違点として、認証方法 'アドレス体系 'アドレス付与方法(固定 IPァドレ ス付与又は動的 IPアドレス付与)を例示したが、相違点がこれらの何れか 1つ又はこ れらの組み合わせたものである場合であつても本発明を適用できる。さらに必要に応 じて他の相違点についても接続装置で吸収することもできる。例えば、上記実施の形 態では、第 2の無線パケット通信網 32において PAP認証を行っていた力 例えば C HAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol)認証を行っている通信網に接 続する場合には接続装置に CHAPを実装すればょ 、。
また、上記各実施の形態では、接続装置 1に 3つの通信モジュール 21 , 22, 23を 内蔵させて、各無線パケット通信網 31, 32, 33を任意に利用可能としている力 何 れカ 1つの通信モジュール 21, 22, 23のみを内蔵'接続するようにしてもよい。

請求の範囲
[1] ネットワーク接続サービス用の通信機器との接続用の第 1のインタフェイスと、 前記通信機器を用いて通信を行う上位装置との接続用の第 2のインタフェイスと、 前記上位装置による前記通信機器を用いた通信を中継する通信制御部と、 通信データを記憶する記憶手段とを備え、
前記通信制御部は、 (a)上位装置と第 1の通信相手先との間の通信データを前記 記憶手段に記憶し、 (b)上位装置と第 1の通信相手先との間の通信が終了した後に 第 2の通信相手先に接続し、(c)前記記憶手段に記憶されている通信データの一部 又は全部を第 2の通信相手先に送信する
ことを特徴とする通信機器用の接続装置。
[2] 前記通信制御部は、第 1の通信相手先との通信終了後に当該通信時に確立した ネットワーク接続を切断し、第 2の通信相手先との通信用にネットワーク接続を確立す る
ことを特徴とする請求項 1記載の通信機器用の接続装置。
[3] 前記通信制御部は、第 1の通信相手先との通信時に確立したネットワーク接続を維 持したまま第 1の通信相手先との通信終了後に第 2の通信相手先に接続する ことを特徴とする請求項 1記載の通信機器用の接続装置。
