Abstract

An innovative opto-electronic system, which integrates in a single module, combining them simultaneously, the 2d/3d image capture functionality of single cell/ particles (tomography) carried in a laminar or non-laminar flow with the measurement possibilities of a flow-cytometer (cell dimension, granularity). The 2d/3d image capture unit of ingle particles, comprising a microscope objective and a micro- channeled measurement chamber, has been demonstrated and applied, as industrial application, in a cyto-tomographic equipment. The software for control acquisition and analysis of signal and of images originated from a ingle cell in a laminar flow has been developed with a high degree of operative implicity and reliability in the automatic data analysis, making easier the interpretative approach of the results.
