Abstract

Ein optisches Kabel (1000) umfasst ein Quellgarn (20), um das mehrere optische Übertragungselemente in Form von Mikromodulen (10) angeordnet sind. Ein Mikromodul (10) umfasst ein Bündel aus Lichtwellenleitern (1), die von einer Hülle aus einem Material aus Kunststoff umgeben sind. Um die optischen Übertragungselemente (10) sind weitere Quellgarne (21, 22, 23) angeordnet. Die optischen Übertragungselemente (10) und die Quellgarne (20, 21, 22, 23) sind von einer Hülle (200) aus Papier umgeben. Die Papierhülle (200) ist von einem Kabelmantel (300) aus einem Material aus Kunststoff umgeben. Beim Freilegen eines Lichtwellenleiters wird der Kabelmantel (300) abgezogen, wobei die Papierhülle abreißt und somit auf leichte Weise entfernt werden kann.
