セメント焼成装置及び高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法
技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、高含水有機汚泥等の高含水有機廃棄物を、安全かつ効率的に乾燥さ せることのできるセメント焼成装置、及び同装置を利用した高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥 方法に関する。
背景技術
[0002] 従来、都市ごみ等の廃棄物をセメント焼成装置で処理するにあたって、種々の装置 及び方法が提案されている。例えば、特許文献 1には、都市ごみ等の廃棄物を乾燥 させるための乾燥装置にクリン力クーラの高温空気の一部を導入し、乾燥装置からの 排気を再びクリン力クーラに戻し、乾燥装置の排気が混入したクリン力クーラの高温 空気をセメントキルン又は仮焼炉の燃焼用空気として使用する技術が開示されてい る。
[0003] また、特許文献 2には、セメント焼成装置で可燃性廃棄物を焼却するにあたって、 可燃性廃棄物をクリン力クーラの高温空気の一部を用いて焼却し、廃棄物の焼却ェ 程中に生成された排ガスを、セメント原料を加熱するためのプレヒータに通気し、かつ 廃棄物の焼却工程中に発生したスラグを引き出す技術が記載されてレ、る。
[0004] しかし、上記両文献に記載のように、クリン力クーラから抽気される高温空気を都市 ごみ等の廃棄物や、可燃性廃棄物の乾燥等に利用する場合には問題はないが、高 含水有機汚泥等の高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させるにあたって上記高温空気を利用 すると、該高温空気は酸素濃度が高いため、爆発の虞があった。
[0005] また、セメント焼成装置のプレヒータ出口以降の燃焼排ガスを利用しょうとしても、こ の領域の燃焼排ガスの温度は 450°C程度以下と低温であるため、高含水汚泥の乾 燥には適さない。一方、セメントキルンの窯尻からの抽気ガスは、酸素濃度が低ぐ約 1000°Cと高温であるため高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥には適しているが、窯尻から燃 焼ガスを抽気すると、セメントキルンの熱効率が悪化するという問題があった。
[0006] そこで、上記の点に鑑み、本出願人は、鋭意検討を行ったところ、セメントキルンの 仮焼炉の出口ダクトからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路より抽気した燃焼ガ スは、 2〜8%と酸素濃度が低いため、高含水有機汚泥等の乾燥に用いても爆発の 虞がなぐ該燃焼ガスの温度は 450〜900°Cであるため、高含水有機廃棄物を十分 に乾燥させることができ、セメントキルンの窯尻等から燃焼ガスを抽気しないため、セ メントキルンの熱効率が悪化することもなレ、ことを見い出した。

発明の開示
発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0008] 上述のように、高含水有機汚泥等の乾燥には、セメントキルンの仮焼炉の出口ダク トからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路より抽気した燃焼ガスを用いることが できるが、この乾燥熱源ガスとしてのセメントキルン排ガスは、セメント原料に起因する 非燃焼性のダストを含有し、このダストの大部分は、乾燥後の汚泥に回収される。ま た、セメントキルン排ガスのダスト濃度は、約 0. 05 (トップサイクロン出口部)〜約 1. 0 (各サイクロン入口部) kgZNm3と抽気領域により様々である。
[0009] ここで、乾燥汚泥にセメント原料に起因するダストが含まれることには、利点と欠点 の両方がある。利点としては、乾燥汚泥に非燃焼性のダストが含有されることにより、 乾燥設備の爆発の危険性が軽減されることが挙げられる。一方、欠点としては、乾燥 汚泥に非燃焼性のダストが含有されることにより、乾燥汚泥の燃料としての価値が低 下することが挙げられる。
[0010] また、高含水有機汚泥は、 40質量%以上の水分を含む粘土のような塊状であり、 比表面積が小さいため、高含水有機汚泥を効率よく乾燥させることが困難であるとい う問題があった。
[0011] そこで、本発明は、上記従来の点に鑑みてなされたものであって、乾燥設備の爆発 の危険性を軽減し、乾燥汚泥の燃料としての価値の低下を回避するとともに、より効 率よく高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させることができるセメント焼成装置及び高含水有機 廃棄物の乾燥方法を提供することを目的とする。
課題を解決するための手段 [0012] 上記目的を達成するため、本発明は、セメント焼成装置であって、セメントキルンの プレヒータサイクロンの出口部又は天井部より抽気した燃焼ガスが供給され、 40質量 %以上の水分を含む高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させる乾燥装置を備えることを特徴と する。
[0013] そして、本発明によれば、セメントキルンのプレヒータサイクロンの出口部又は天井 部から、ダスト濃度の低い燃焼ガスの一部を抽気し、乾燥装置において、低ダスト濃 度の燃焼ガスを用いて 40質量%以上の水分を含む高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させる ため、乾燥後の有機廃棄物のダスト含有率も小さくなり、乾燥有機廃棄物の燃料とし ての価値の低下を回避することができる。
[0014] 前記セメント焼成装置において、前記セメントキルンのプレヒータサイクロンの出口 部又は天井部より抽気した燃焼ガスから粗粉を分離する粗粉分離装置を設け、該粗 粉分離装置によって粗粉が分離された燃焼ガスを前記乾燥装置に供給するように構 成すること力 Sできる。これによつて、乾燥後の有機廃棄物のダスト含有率をさらに小さ くすることができ、乾燥有機廃棄物の燃料としての価値をより大きくすることができる。
[0015] 前記セメント焼成装置において、前記乾燥装置を、前記燃焼ガスが前記高含水有 機廃棄物と直接接触するように供給され、該高含水有機廃棄物を破砕しながら乾燥 する破砕気流乾燥機とすることができる。これによつて、高含水有機廃棄物の比表面 積の増加による乾燥効率の向上と、高含水有機廃棄物の表面乾燥による破砕効率 の向上とが相まって、全体的な乾燥効率を飛躍的に向上させることができる。
[0016] 前記セメント焼成装置において、前記乾燥装置に供給されるガスのダスト濃度を、 0 . 05kg/Nm3以上、 0· 35kg/Nm3以下とすることができる。これによつて、乾燥設 備の爆発の危険性を軽減しながら、乾燥汚泥の燃料としての価値の低下を回避する こと力 Sできる。
[0017] 前記セメント焼成装置において、前記高含水有機廃棄物は、高含水有機汚泥であ つてもよぐ製紙汚泥、下水汚泥、ビルピット汚泥、食品汚泥等を乾燥させることがで きる。
[0018] また、本発明は、高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法であって、セメントキルンの仮焼炉 の出口ダクトからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路より、ダストの濃度が所定 の範囲にある燃焼ガスの一部を抽気し、該抽気した燃焼ガスの一部を用いて 40質量 %以上の水分を含む高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させることを特徴とする。
[0019] 本発明によれば、ダストの濃度が所定の範囲にある燃焼ガスを用いて高含水有機 廃棄物を乾燥させるため、乾燥後の有機廃棄物のダスト濃度を調整することができる
[0020] また、本発明は、高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法であって、セメントキルンの仮焼炉 の出口ダクトからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路より、燃焼ガスの一部を抽 気し、該抽気した燃焼ガスに含まれるダストの濃度を所定の範囲に調整し、該ダスト の濃度を所定の範囲に調整したガスを用いて 40質量%以上の水分を含む高含水有 機廃棄物を乾燥させることを特徴とする。
[0021] 本発明によれば、ダストの濃度を所定の範囲に調整した燃焼ガスを用いて高含水 有機廃棄物を乾燥させるため、乾燥後の有機廃棄物のダスト濃度を調整することが できる。
[0022] 前記高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法において、前記燃焼ガスの一部を、前記高含 水有機廃棄物に直接接触させるとともに、該高含水有機廃棄物を破砕しながら乾燥 させること力 Sできる。これによつて、上述のように、全体的な乾燥効率を飛躍的に向上 させること力 Sできる。
[0023] 前記高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法において、前記高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥に 用いるガスのダスト濃度を、 0. 05kg/Nm3以上、 0· 35kg/Nm3以下とすることが できる。これによつて、上述のように、乾燥設備の爆発の危険性を軽減しながら、乾燥 汚泥の燃料としての価値の低下を回避することができる。
[0024] また、前記高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法にぉレ、て、前記高含水有機廃棄物を、 製紙汚泥、下水汚泥、ビルピット汚泥、食品汚泥等の高含水有機汚泥とすることがで きる。
発明の効果
[0025] 以上のように、本発明によれば、乾燥設備の爆発の危険性を軽減し、乾燥汚泥の 燃料としての価値の低下を回避するとともに、より効率よく高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥 させることができるセメント焼成装置及び高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法を提供するこ とができる。
発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0026] 図 1は、本発明に力、かるセメント焼成装置の第 1の実施の形態を示し、このセメント 焼成装置 1は、セメントキノレン 2と、プレヒータ 3と、仮焼炉 4と、乾燥装置 6と、ファン 7 等で構成される。
[0027] セメントキルン 2、プレヒータ 3及び仮焼炉 4は、従来のセメント焼成装置と同様の機 能を有し、プレヒータ 3に供給されたセメント原料 Rは、プレヒータ 3で予熱され、仮焼 炉 4で仮焼された後、セメントキルン 2にて焼成される。
[0028] 乾燥装置 6には、高含水有機汚泥等の高含水有機廃棄物 (以下、「廃棄物」という) Wが供給されるとともに、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部より抽気した燃焼ガスが供給 され、廃棄物 Wが乾燥される。この燃焼ガスは、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部から第 2サイクロン 3Bの入口部までのダクトにおいて、第 3サイクロン 3Cから供給されたセメ ント原料が燃焼ガスと混合される前の段階で抽気されたものであるため、ダスト濃度 が 0. 15-0. 35kg/Nm3と低ぐ乾燥装置 6において廃棄物 Wの乾燥に用いると、 廃棄物 Wに適度の濃度のダストが含まれることとなり、乾燥装置 6における爆発を防 止しながら、乾燥された廃棄物 Wのダスト含有率を低く抑えることができる。
[0029] ファン 7は、プレヒータ 3から燃焼ガスを乾燥装置 6に導入するために備えられ、ファ ン 7の排気は、循環ダクト 8を介して最下段サイクロン 3Aから第 2サイクロン 3Bへの排 ガス流路に戻される。
[0030] 尚、上記実施の形態においては、乾燥装置 6に、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部より 抽気した燃焼ガスを供給したが、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部に限らず、最下段サ イクロン 3Aの天井部、第 2サイクロン 3B、第 3サイクロン 3C及び第 4サイクロン 3Dの 出口部及び天井部のいずれ力、より抽気した燃焼ガスを乾燥装置 6に供給して廃棄物 Wの乾燥に用いることができ、上記と同様の効果を奏する。
[0031] 次に、本発明に力かるセメント焼成装置の第 2の実施の形態について、図 2を参照 しながら説明する。このセメント焼成装置 11は、図 1に示したセメント焼成装置 1の構 成に加え、乾燥装置 6の前段に粗粉分離装置としてのサイクロン 12を備えることを特 徴としている。尚、セメント焼成装置 1と同じ構成要素については、同一の参照番号を 付して詳細説明を省略する。
[0032] サイクロン 12には、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部より抽気した燃焼ガスが供給され 、この燃焼ガス中の粗粉 Dが除去される。除去された粗粉 Dは、セメント焼成装置 1に 戻してもよぐセメント焼成装置 1の系外で処理することもできる。サイクロン 12で回収 されなかった微粉を含む燃焼ガス Gは、乾燥装置 6に供給される。
[0033] 乾燥装置 6には、廃棄物 Wが供給されるとともに、サイクロン 12からの燃焼ガス Gが 供給され、廃棄物 Wの乾燥が行なわれる。この燃焼ガス Gは、サイクロン 12によって 集塵されているため、ダスト濃度が 0. 05〜0. 2kgZNm3と低ぐ乾燥装置 6におい て廃棄物 Wの乾燥に用いると、乾燥装置 6における爆発を防止しながら、乾燥された 廃棄物 Wのダスト含有率を低く抑えることができる。
[0034] 尚、上記実施の形態においては、サイクロン 12に、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部 より抽気した燃焼ガスを供給したが、最下段サイクロン 3Aの出口部に限らず、最下段 サイクロン 3Aの天井部、第 2サイクロン 3B、第 3サイクロン 3C及び第 4サイクロン 3D の出口部及び天井部のいずれかより抽気した燃焼ガスをサイクロン 12に供給し、粗 粉を除去した燃焼ガス Gを、乾燥装置 6において廃棄物 Wの乾燥に用いることができ 、上記と同様の効果を奏する。
[0035] 次に、本発明に力かるセメント焼成装置の第 3の実施の形態について、図 3を参照 しながら説明する。このセメント焼成装置 21は、図 2に示したセメント焼成装置 11のサ イクロン 12、乾燥装置 6を、各々セメント原料回収サイクロン 22、破砕気流乾燥機 23 とし、高含水有機廃棄物貯蔵タンク(以下、「廃棄物貯蔵タンク」という) 24と、乾燥有 機廃棄物回収サイクロン (以下、「乾燥物回収サイクロン」 27等をさらに備えることを 特徴としている。尚、セメント焼成装置 11と同じ構成要素については、同一の参照番 号を付して詳細説明を省略する。
[0036] セメント原料回収サイクロン 22は、破砕気流乾燥機 23の前段に設けられ、プレヒー タ 3の排ガス流路より抽気した燃焼ガス Gに含まれるダストを除去し、ダストを除去した 燃焼ガス Gを破砕気流乾燥機 23に供給するために備えられる。
[0037] 破砕気流乾燥機 23は、廃棄物貯蔵タンク 24から供給される廃棄物 Wを破砕しなが ら、セメント原料回収サイクロン 22から供給される燃焼ガス Gによって乾燥させるため に備えられる。この破砕気流乾燥機 23は、上部に廃棄物 Wの供給口と、下部にセメ ント原料回収サイクロン 22からの燃焼ガス Gの供給口とを備え、廃棄物 Wと燃焼ガス Gを向流で接触させる。また、内部には、回転軸 23aと、この回転軸 23aに固定され、 回転軸 23aの回転とともに遠心力によって水平方向に延伸して回転し、廃棄物 Wを 破砕する打撃チェーン 23bを備える。
[0038] 廃棄物貯蔵タンク 24は、高含水有機廃棄物を一時的に貯蔵するために設けられ、 高含水有機廃棄物は、高含水有機汚泥であってもよぐ製紙汚泥、下水汚泥、ビル ピット汚泥、食品汚泥等でもよい。
[0039] ブロワ 25は、破砕気流乾燥機 23によって破砕及び乾燥された廃棄物 Wをプレヒー タ 3へ搬送するために備えられ、ルーツブロワ等が用いられる。ファン 28は、破砕気 流乾燥機 23から排出された乾燥排ガス G'を循環ダクト 26を介してプレヒータ 3へ戻 すために備えられる。
[0040] 次に、上記構成を有するセメント焼成装置 21の動作について、図面を参照しながら 説明する。
[0041] セメント焼成装置 21のプレヒータ 3にセメント原料 Rを供給し、プレヒータ 3で予熱し 、仮焼炉 4で仮焼し、セメントキルン 2によって焼成する。一方、受け入れた廃棄物 W は、廃棄物貯蔵タンク 24に一時的に貯蔵する。
[0042] ファン 28を運転し、セメント原料回収サイクロン 22にセメントキルン 2の燃焼ガス Gを 導入し、燃焼ガス Gに含まれるダストを回収する。回収したダストをプレヒータ 3に戻し 、ダストを回収した後の燃焼ガス Gを破砕気流乾燥機 23に供給する。
[0043] 破砕気流乾燥機 23の上部に、廃棄物貯蔵タンク 24からの廃棄物 Wを供給するとと もに、破砕気流乾燥機 23の下部からセメント原料回収サイクロン 22からの燃焼ガス G を導入する。この燃焼ガス Gの温度は、 800〜900°C程度であるため、高含水有機 廃棄物を十分に乾燥させることができる。また、破砕気流乾燥機 23では、廃棄物 Wと 燃焼ガス Gとが向流で直接接触するとともに、破砕気流乾燥機 23の内部に設けられ た打撃チェーン 23bによって廃棄物 Wを破砕しながら乾燥させるため、廃棄物 Wは、 その比表面積を増加させながら表面から乾燥することとなる。そのため、比表面積の 増加による乾燥効率の向上に加え、廃棄物 Wの表面乾燥によって破砕効率も合わ せて向上することとなり、従来に比較して全体的な乾燥効率が飛躍的に向上する。ま た、破砕気流乾燥機 23に導入された燃焼ガス Gは、酸素濃度が 2〜8%程度と低い ため、破砕気流乾燥機 23等が爆発する虞もない。
[0044] ここで、破砕気流乾燥機 23への廃棄物 Wの供給量が一時的に低下したような場合 等、破砕気流乾燥機 23の出口ガス温度が高すぎる場合には、破砕気流乾燥機 23 の前段で冷却空気 Cを導入することができる。
[0045] 次に、乾燥物回収サイクロン 27によって、破砕気流乾燥機 23で破砕及び乾燥させ た廃棄物 Wを回収し、ブロワ 25を介してプレヒータ 3に戻す。尚、回収した廃棄物 W を、ブロワ 25を介してセメント焼成装置 21とは別の装置等に搬送して処理することも できる。
[0046] 一方、破砕気流乾燥機 23から排出される乾燥排ガス G'を、ファン 28によって、循 環ダクト 26を介して最下段サイクロン 3Aから第 2サイクロン 3Bへの排ガス流路に戻 す。これによつて、有機汚泥等を乾燥させた後に発生する乾燥排ガス G'が含有する 臭気成分の脱臭処理を行うことができる。
[0047] 尚、上記実施の形態においては、破砕気流乾燥機 23に、最下段サイクロン 3Aから 第 2サイクロン 3Bへの排ガス流路より抽気した燃焼ガス Gを供給した力 S、プレヒータ 3 のさらに上流の、第 2サイクロン 3Bから第 3サイクロン 3Cへの排ガス流路 (燃焼ガス温 度は、 700〜800°C程度)、又は第 3サイクロン 3Cから第 4サイクロン 3Dへの排ガス 流路 (燃焼ガス温度は、 550°C〜650程度)力 燃焼ガスを抽気して破砕気流乾燥 機 23に供給することもできる。
[0048] さらに、破砕気流乾燥機 23からの乾燥排ガス G'についても、最下段サイクロン 3A 力 第 2サイクロン 3Bへの排ガス流路に戻す場合に限定されず、上記燃焼ガス Gを 抽気する場合と同様の領域に戻すことができる。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] セメントキルンのプレヒータサイクロンの出口部又は天井部より抽気した燃焼ガスが 供給され、 40質量%以上の水分を含む高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させる乾燥装置を 備えることを特徴とするセメント焼成装置。
[2] 前記セメントキルンのプレヒータサイクロンの出口部又は天井部より抽気した燃焼ガ スから粗粉を分離する粗粉分離装置を備え、
該粗粉分離装置によって粗粉が分離された燃焼ガスが前記乾燥装置に供給される ことを特徴とする請求項 1に記載のセメント焼成装置。
[3] 前記乾燥装置は、前記燃焼ガスが前記高含水有機廃棄物と直接接触するように供 給され、該高含水有機廃棄物を破砕しながら乾燥する破砕気流乾燥機であることを 特徴とする請求項 1又は 2に記載のセメント焼成装置。
[4] 前記乾燥装置に供給されるガスのダスト濃度は、 0. 05kg/Nm3以上、 0. 35kg/
Nm3以下であることを特徴とする請求項 1、 2又は 3に記載のセメント焼成装置。
[5] 前記高含水有機廃棄物は、高含水有機汚泥であることを特徴とする請求項 1乃至 4 のレ、ずれかに記載のセメント焼成装置。
[6] セメントキルンの仮焼炉の出口ダクトからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路ょ り、ダストの濃度が所定の範囲にある燃焼ガスの一部を抽気し、
該抽気した燃焼ガスの一部を用いて 40質量%以上の水分を含む高含水有機廃棄 物を乾燥させることを特徴とする高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法。
[7] セメントキルンの仮焼炉の出口ダクトからプレヒータの出口ダクトまでの排ガス流路ょ り、燃焼ガスの一部を抽気し、
該抽気した燃焼ガスに含まれるダストの濃度を所定の範囲に調整し、
該ダストの濃度を所定の範囲に調整したガスを用いて 40質量%以上の水分を含む 高含水有機廃棄物を乾燥させることを特徴とする高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法。
[8] 前記燃焼ガスの一部を、前記高含水有機廃棄物に直接接触させるとともに、前記 高含水有機廃棄物を破砕しながら乾燥させることを特徴とする請求項 6又は 7に記載 の高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥方法。
[9] 前記高含水有機廃棄物の乾燥に用いるガスのダスト濃度は、 0. 05kg/Nm3以上 、 0. 35kg/Nm3以下であることを特徴とする請求項 6、 7又は 8に記載の高含水有 機廃棄物の乾燥方法。
前記高含水有機廃棄物は、高含水有機汚泥であることを特徴とする請求項 6乃至 9 のレ、ずれかに記載のセメント焼成装置。
