Abstract

Ein Spannschloss (4) zum Fixieren zweier drahtförmiger Endabschnitte (6, 7) eines ein Zugelement (5) aufweisenden Seitenstranges (3) einer Gleitschutzkette (1) für ein Rad eines Fahrzeuges, mit einem Gehäuse (11, 21, 41), in welchem zumindest ein bewegbares Haltestück (15, 25, 45) untergebracht ist, wobei der zumindest eines drahtförmigen Endabschnitt mittels des zumindest einen Haltestücks vorübergehend fixierbar ist, wobei in dem Gehäuse (11, 21, 41) ein bewegbares Massestück (12, 22, 42) angeordnet ist, welches aus einer bei Stillstand des Rades vorliegenden Ruhestellung unter Einwirkung der Fliehkraft bei Rotation des Rades zumindest abschnittsweise radial nach außen bewegt wird, und diese Bewegung ein Blockieren des zumindest einen Endabschnittes (6, 7) des Zugelementes bewirkt.
