Abstract

　取り付け角度に依存した応答性のばらつきが小さいガスセンサを提供する。 　本発明によるガスセンサは、所定のガスを検出するための検出部を主面に有する板状のセンサ素子と、検出部を取り囲む第１のカバーと、第１のカバーを取り囲む第２のカバーとを備えている。第１のカバーおよび第２のカバーは、複数の通気孔をそれぞれ有し、第１のカバーの複数の通気孔と第２のカバーの複数の通気孔とは、互いに重ならないように配置されている。第１のカバーの複数の通気孔は、センサ素子の主面側に位置する通気孔を含む。センサ素子の主面側に位置する通気孔の中心とセンサ素子の中心軸とを結ぶ直線は、センサ素子の主面に対して３５°以上４５°以下の角度をなしている。
