Abstract

　本発明は、繰り返しプリントを行っても、良好は２次転写性と良好なクリーニング性を維持し、文字画像の中抜けがない高品質のトナー画像が継続して得られる中間転写体、該中間転写体を用いる画像形成方法及び画像形成装置を提供する。本発明の中間転写体は、電子写真感光体の表面に担持されたトナー像を中間転写体に１次転写した後、該トナー像を中間転写体から転写材に２次転写する手段を有する画像形成装置に用いる中間転写体であって、その最表面に無機層を有し、無機層のヨウ化メチレンに対する接触角が３０～６０°であり、無機層のナノインデンテーション法で測定した硬度が３～１０ＧＰａであることを特徴とする。
