Abstract

　液水銀を使用する８本柱以上のコンパクト形蛍光ランプにおいて、点灯時に約５０°Cとなる最冷点となる部分を発光管先端部につくり、更に口金付近の温度を下げることができるコンパクト形蛍光ランプを提供することを目的とする。 　Ｕ字管で構成される発光管が８本柱以上で、水銀蒸気圧規制を行わないコンパクト形蛍光ランプにおいて、Ｕ字管の中の少なくとも１個の頂部の断面を、Ｕ字管の股部近傍に幅広部があり、幅広部から頂部の先端部に向って先細りの形状とし、 　頂部の管軸方向内寸法Ｌ１を、１１≦Ｌ１≦１７（単位は［ｍｍ］）（１） 　Ｕ字管の股部近傍の幅広部と頂部の先端部との管軸方向の寸法Ｌ２を、Ｌ１－７≦Ｌ２≦Ｌ１－２（単位は［ｍｍ］）（２） とすることを特徴とする。
