Abstract
トリポード系自在継手は、トラニオンジャーナル(26)に回転自在にローラアセンブリ(30)を担持し、ローラアセンブリ(30)は、外周面が真球状のスフェリカルローラ(32)と、スフェリカルローラ(32)とトラニオンジャーナル(26)との間に配列した複数の針状ころ(34)とからなり、トラニオンジャーナル(26)の外周に、針状ころ(34)のための軌道(28)と、針状ころ(34)の軸方向移動を規制するためのつば(28a,28b)が形成してあり、トラニオンジャーナル(26)の先端面に塑性加工を施すことにより、トラニオンジャーナル(26)の先端外周に針状ころ(34)の外接円を越える突起(38C)が設けてある。
