Abstract

電池の正極を形成するための正極形成材であって、正極活物質の粒子と、これら正極活物質の粒子表面に網目状に付着している微細炭素繊維とを含むことを特徴とする。好ましくは、正極活物質が平均粒径0.03μm~40μmの微粒子であり、微細炭素繊維が平均繊維径1nm~100nmおよびアスペクト比5以上のカーボンナノファイバーであり、これらカーボンナノファイバーの表面は酸化処理されている。結着材を含み、正極活物質100質量部に対して、微細炭素繊維の含有量は0.5~15質量部、結着剤の含有量は0.5~10質量部である。
