Abstract

一般的な点火プラグの設置スペースに設置可能な程度の寸法内で、放電のための電気的構成とマイクロ波の導入及び放射のための電気的構成とを両立させ、かつ、マイクロ波を燃焼室内に効率よく導入し放射させることができる点火プラグを提供する。 スパーク放電のための中心電極102及び接地電極と、同軸状のマイクロ波伝送線路を形成する中心線及び外側導体と、中心線112と電気的に一体をなすマイクロ波放射アンテナ112Aとを備え、マイクロ波放射アンテナ112Aは、中心電極から略々等距離の複数の箇所を含む円弧、または、球の一部をなす形状となされている。
