Abstract

 外部動力源により駆動される開放型圧縮機または流体装置における軸の外面に摺接し装置外部に対し装置内部をシールする軸シールにおいて、軸シールのうち少なくとも前記軸の外面に摺接する摺接部を、融点が150~300°Cの範囲にある物質が添加され均一に分散された材料から構成したことを特徴とする軸シール。軸シールの耐熱性、耐摩耗性を向上でき、優れた耐久性を発揮可能になり、とくに、高温、高圧条件下において駆動される二酸化炭素冷媒を使用する圧縮機に好適な軸シールを提供できる。
