Abstract

 デジタル放送送信装置は、複数の物理チャンネルを関連づけるための情報であるチャンネル結合情報を生成する。そして、チャンネル結合情報が付加された番組関連情報を含むビットストリームを複数のビットストリームに分割して、複数の物理チャンネルでそれぞれ送信する。デジタル放送受信装置は、チャンネル結合情報に基づいて、複数のフロントエンド部を用いて複数の物理チャンネルを選局し、それぞれの物理チャンネルで受信した放送波を復調する。そして、それぞれ復調されたビットストリームを結合し、出力する。また、上記ビットストリームよりも情報量が少ないビットストリームである軽量ビットストリームを異なった単一の物理チャンネルで並行して送信する。
