Abstract

 圧電素子の破損による送信時および受信時での超音波の減少を無くして、 診断画像の感度劣化を改善することができるアレイ型超音波探触子を提供する技術が開示され、その技術によれば、それぞれが電気音響変換素子である複数の圧電素子と前記複数の圧電素子の各々にそれぞれ積層された複数の音響整合層とが所定の方向に配列されて形成された電気音響変換部と、前記複数の圧電素子との間で送信あるいは受信のための電気信号を伝達する信号取り出し用フレキシブル基板とを備え、前記複数の圧電素子のそれぞれの厚さ方向に前記それぞれの圧電素子を貫通してこれに積層された対応する前記音響整合層に至る切込みが前記配列方向と並行に設けた。
