Abstract

　インフレータとして高出力のものを用いることなく、速やかに膨張しえるエアバッグと、このエアバッグを備えたエアバッグ装置。エアバッグ１０のリヤパネル１４のうち、エアバッグ１０の膨張時にステアリングホイールのリム５０よりも該ステアリングホイールの中心側に展開する領域に常開型ベントホール２０が配置され、該リム５０よりもステアリングホイールの外方に展開する領域に開閉型ベントホール２２が配置されている。開閉型ベントホール２２は蓋体６０によって覆われている。蓋体６０とエアバッグ１０内の吊紐８０とがテザー７０によって連結されている。蓋体６０は、エアバッグ１０の膨張開始時点から開閉型ベントホール２２に重なり、該開閉型ベントホール２２を閉鎖している。
