Abstract

 本発明は、層状粘土鉱物を水または水系溶媒に膨潤させた後、予め硬化性樹脂組成物を有機オニウム塩または有機オニウム塩とノニオン性界面活性剤を用いて乳化させた乳化液を添加、混合することにより前記層状粘土鉱物の層間の金属カチオンを有機オニウムイオンへカチオン交換する工程と前記層状粘土鉱物の層間への硬化性樹脂組成物の導入工程とを同時に行う有機化粘土複合体の製造方法、その方法で得られる有機化粘土複合体、及びその有機化粘土複合体を成形・硬化させてなる樹脂成形体に関する。本発明によれば、層状粘土鉱物の層間に導入する化合物が有機化粘土を分散させる基材の物性に影響を与えず、分散性の良好な層間隔の広がった有機化粘土複合体が得られる。
