Abstract

 ビットストリームを復号して映像信号を生成する映像信号生成装置において、復号対象ブロックと同じ大きさを持つ1ビットプレーン上の規定のビット位置に、復号対象ブロックがイントラ符号化で符号化されたのかインター符号化で符号化されたのかを示すフラグ値を書き込むとともに、その1ビットプレーン上の規定の共通領域に、復号対象ブロックの符号化分割形態を示す情報を書き込み、さらに、その1ビットプレーン上の規定の切替解釈領域に、イントラ符号化で符号化された場合にはイントラ符号化に合わせたデータフォーマットに従って符号化情報を書き込み、インター符号化で符号化された場合にはインター符号化に合わせたデータフォーマットに従って符号化情報を書き込む書込手段と、前記1ビットプレーンと復号対象ブロックの復号画像とを重畳することで映像信号を生成する生成手段とを備える。
