Abstract

The present invention refers essentially to a method 5 for the individuation and/or identification of wanted men comprising ah least the operations of; Data acquisition of audio and/or video type by means of video cameras (3) placed in predetermined areas of interest and connected to at least a.peripheral Data 0 Processing Centre (DPC) (2); - Forwarding of the acquired data from said peripheral DPC to at least a Main Data Processing Centre (DPC) (1) connected to the network with said peropheral DPC (2), - Further insertion of research request relative to a particular individual. The insertion of research request comprises thus the insertion of reference data (4) identifying' said individual in the Main DPC (1) and/or in at least one of the peripheral DPC (2); The research operation comprises thus a comparison by image overlap or an audio comparison of the data acquired in the Main DPC and/or in at least one of the peripheral DPC with the reference data (4). In an embodiment, a static search is performed on acquired data processed as still images to find the location visited by a person; subsequently a dynamic search is started in the peripheral DPCs located mearest to said last location to find the current location of the target person.
