Abstract

 繰り返し屈曲に強く、しかも曲げ半径2mmで曲げた時の光ロスが少ないプラスチック光ファイバケーブルを提供する。  透明樹脂からなる7以上10000以下の芯、及び該芯を取り囲み該芯を構成する透明樹脂よりも屈折率の低い透明樹脂からなる少なくとも1層の鞘層からなる島部、及び該島部を取り囲む樹脂からなる海部からなる多芯プラスチック光ファイバ素線、並びに該多芯プラスチック光ファイバ素線を取り囲む被覆層からなるプラスチック光ファイバケーブルであって、鞘層または海層の少なくとも一方を構成する樹脂がショアD硬度25以上55以下の樹脂であって、被覆層を構成する樹脂が曲げ弾性率が500MPa以上2000MPa以下の熱可塑性樹脂からなることを特徴とするプラスチック光ファイバケーブル。
