Abstract

 包絡線変動を有する信号を高い電力付加効率で増幅することが可能で消費電力が小さく汎用性の高い電力増幅回路ならびにそれを用いた送信機および無線通信機を提供する。包絡線変動を有する入力信号(Si)を2つの定包絡線信号(Sd1,Sd2)に変換する定包絡線信号生成回路(20)と、2つの定包絡線信号を増幅して2つの増幅信号(Sh1,Sh2)を出力する第1,第2増幅器(11,12)と、2つの増幅信号をベクトル加算する出力加算器(13)と、を含む電力増幅回路であり、入力信号(Si)から2つの基本信号(Sa1,Sa2)と変換用基本信号(Sb)とを生成するための電力分配器(23)と、変換用基本信号から2つの変換信号(Sc1,Sc2)を生成する変換信号生成回路(30)と、を含み、2つの基本信号と2つの変換信号とをそれぞれベクトル加算することによって、2つの定包絡線信号(Sd1,Sd2)を出力する。
