Abstract

 導電性カーボン担体上にRuを含む金属微粒子を担持した燃料電池用電極触媒の製造方法において、該Ruの前駆体としてM2RuX6(M=H,Li,Na,K,NH4の少なくとも1種、X=Cl,Br,I,NO3の少なくとも1種)を用いることを特徴とする燃料電池用電極触媒の製造方法。  本発明によれば、従来の形式価数3価のRu原料を用いて作製したPtRu担持カーボン触媒に比べ、触媒質量あたり及び触媒表面積あたりのメタノール酸化活性が向上した燃料電池用電極触媒を得ることができる。
