Abstract

　光導波路における光伝送方向の任意の箇所において、信号損失や受光素子による信号光の受光効率を安定にコントロールすることを目的として、光導波路（４）は、透光性を有する材料から構成されるコア部（１０）を備え、その少なくともコア部（１０）において、光学素子からの信号光を反射し、信号光の光路を変換する光路変換ミラー（４Ａ）が形成されており、光路変換ミラー（４Ａ）での反射により、信号光をコア部（１０）内に伝送されるように構成された光導波路（４）であって、光学素子の光軸方向をＹ方向とし、光導波路（４）の信号光の進行方向をＺ方向としたとき、Ｙ方向とＺ方向との両方に垂直な方向をＸ方向とすると、コア部（１０）をＹＺ平面で切断した断面形状において、光路変換ミラー（４Ａ）は、そのコア部（１０）底面とのなす傾斜角度αが、Ｘ方向において変化している。
