Abstract

 光導波路における光伝送方向の任意の箇所において、信号損失や受光素子による信号光の受光効率を安定にコントロールすることを目的として、光導波路(4)は、透光性を有する材料から構成されるコア部(10)を備え、その少なくともコア部(10)において、光学素子からの信号光を反射し、信号光の光路を変換する光路変換ミラー(4A)が形成されており、光路変換ミラー(4A)での反射により、信号光をコア部(10)内に伝送されるように構成された光導波路(4)であって、光学素子の光軸方向をY方向とし、光導波路(4)の信号光の進行方向をZ方向としたとき、Y方向とZ方向との両方に垂直な方向をX方向とすると、コア部(10)をYZ平面で切断した断面形状において、光路変換ミラー(4A)は、そのコア部(10)底面とのなす傾斜角度αが、X方向において変化している。
