Abstract

 FPD用基板、特にPDP用基板としての特性及び品質を確保しつつ、高温粘度を下げることで、生産性に優れた基板用ガラス組成物の提供。  酸化物基準の質量%表示で、ガラス母組成として、SiO2:55~75%、Al2O3:5~15%、MgO:4~18%、CaO:3~12%、SrO:4~18%、BaO:0~20%、Na2O+K2O:6~20%、ZrO2:0.5~6%、MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO:18~25%を含有し、SO3:0.001~0.6%を含有し、粘度ηとするとき、logη=2を満たす温度が1545°C以下であり、失透温度が、logη=4を満たす温度より低く、熱膨張係数が75×10-7~90×10-7/°Cであり、比重が2.8以下であり、ガラス転移点が600°C以上であることを特徴とする基板用ガラス組成物。
