Description

The Bicycle
Technology area
Technical (engineering) solution concerns about the bicycle, mainly for free time.
Present condition of technology
Bicycles known till this time are modified for sitting cyclist which drives the bicycle via pedal mechanism placed in area between front wheel and back wheel, whereas transmission of power between the pedal mechanism and driven wheel is provided via chain. Other known solution is to use horizontal position of cyclist when the pedal mechanism is located beyond the axis of the driven wheel, mainly back wheel, as it is described by e. g. utility design CZ- U-16689. Other possibility is the location of pedal mechanism modified for pedaling by the help of arms at the bicycle handle-bars, when the front wheel is driven, according to utility design CZ-U-9637, again via the chain of combination of both systems, as it is described e. g. in Czech invention application PV 1993-2029. Other option of transmission of power is the usage of pedal crank drive, as it is noted in the Czech patent CZ 282 190.
Principle of technical solution
The bicycle is the technical solution where pedal cranks are located at the end of shaft, which is put on the bearings in the caps of the crossbar and which passes by back wheel hub. On one crank, there is the converter, which is connected via the chain or spur belt with the controller (sequence switch), which is located on the axis in the bearing liner in the back frame fork. On the back frame fork of bicycle there is on the axis inside converter, which is connected by inside chain or spur belt with the pinion, which is fasten together with the back wheel hub. By the driven mechanism location on the back wheel hub, according to this technical solution, the bicycle has shorter crossbar and thereby the bicycle is more easily manageable. Cyclist does not sit on this bicycle, but he stands. The pinion with the advantage ^creates free-running pinion or there is free-running clutch in the pinion unit with controller.
i List of pictures on the drawings
Technical solution is more closely clarified via the drawings, where is the system of driving mechanism in partial section (picture 1). Picture 2 demonstrates driving mechanism of bicycle in the partial section, which enables to opt for more gearings.
Examples of technical solution conduct
Example 1
On the bicycle, according to picture 1, there is the back wheel hub I put on the bearings 2 on the shaft 3. This shaft 3_is put on the bearings 4 in the crossbar caps 5. Cranks 6 with pedals 7 are fasten at the ends of shaft 3. The converter 8 is fastened on one crank 6, converter creates the gear wheel. The chain 9 or spur belt transmits motion to the system of pinions JJ) with the controller of the transmissive compound. The pinions are put on the axis 11 in the bearing liner 12 in the back wheel fork 13_. On the axis 11 there is inside converter 14. Inside chain 15 transmits motion to the pinion 16, which is fastened together with the wheel hub I. The pinion 16 creates with advantage the free-running pinion Jj6.
Example 2
On the bicycle, according to picture 1, there is the back wheel hub 1 put on the bearings 2 on the shaft 3. This shaft 3_is put on the bearings 4 in the crossbar caps 5. Cranks 6 with pedals 7 are fasten at the ends of shaft 3. The converter 8 is fastened on one crank 6, converter creates the gear wheel. The chain 9 or spur belt transmits motion to the system of pinions 10 with the controller of the transmissive compound. The pinions are put on the axis H in the bearing liner 12 in the back wheel fork 13. On the axis 11 there is inside converter 14. Inside chain L5 or spur belt transmits motion to the free-running pinion 16, which is fastened together with the wheel hub 1. There is also possibility that the pinion 16 is not free-running pinion 16, and then however, in the pinion system 10 with the controller, there is located free-running clutch. Industrial efficiency
This technical solution is possible to use for fast ride on the short distance, mainly for sport, recreation and entertainment.
