Abstract

【課題】光アクセスネットワーク構成に対応する下り信号の種別を判別し、光送信器Tx の発光状態の制御が可能なP-P用の光ネットワーク終端装置(ONU)を提供する。 【解決手段】本発明のP-P用のONU2Aは、光加入者線終端盤(OLT)と双方向で通信するための双方向光トランシーバ11と、OLTから送信されて双方向光トランシーバで受信した下り信号の種別がP-P用であるか否かを判別し、下り信号の種別の判別結果に応じて双方向光トランシーバの光送信器を発光状態または非発光状態に制御するための発光制御信号を出力する信号種別識別手段22Aと、発光制御信号に従って光送信器を発光状態または非発光状態に制御する発光制御手段21とを備え、信号種別識別手段22Aは、下り信号の種別を判別する前の初期状態では、光送信器を非発光状態に制御する発光制御信号を発光制御手段21に送出し、下り信号がP-P用であると判別した後に、光送信器を発光状態に制御する発光制御信号を発光制御手段21に送出する。
