Abstract

 結晶性が高く、組成及び粒子径の均一性に優れ、粒子径が小さく比表面積が高く、耐熱性に優れたセリア-ジルコニア系固溶体結晶微粒子の製造方法及び当該固溶体結晶微粒子の提供。  酸化物基準のモル%表示で、(ZrO2+CeO2)を5~50%、RO(RはMg、Ca、Sr、Baからなる群より選ばれる1種以上)を10~60%、B2O3を25~70%含む溶融物を得る工程と、前記溶融物を急速冷却して非晶質物質とする工程と、前記非晶質物質を550~1000°Cで加熱して、非晶質物質中にセリア-ジルコニア系固溶体結晶を析出させる工程と、得られた折出物中から前記セリア-ジルコニア系固溶体結晶以外の成分を分離して、前記セリア-ジルコニア系固溶体結晶の微粒子を得る工程と、をこの順に含む。
