Abstract

Le procédé selon l'invention comprend, dans un premier réacteur (20) une pyrolyse d'une charge matière organique (MO) humide. La pyrolyse produit, d'une part des éléments de carbone et, d'autre part un flux gazeux de pyrolyse comprenant de la vapeur d'eau et des composés organiques volatils (COV). Les COV présent dans le flux gazeux de pyrolyse sont ensuite soumis à une oxycombustion et/ou oxydation. Le flux gazeux de pyrolyse oxydé traverse ensuite ladite couche (302) et produit un flux gazeux de synthèse (FS) comprenant de l'hydrogène (H2) obten u par réduction de la vapeur d'eau (H2Og) par lesdits éléments de carbone (C) à haute température. La température du flux gazeux de synthèse ( FS) est ensuite diminuée pour réaliser une réaction de water-shift où une partie de la vapeur d'eau résiduelle (H2Og) est réduite par des éléments de monoxyde de carbone (CO) pour produire de l'hydrogène (H2). L'hydrogène (H2) obtenu est ensuite séparé.
